Honestly, lots of the staff just suck. Especially the Dr. his personality is lack luster. He gives inaccurate information on a regular basis. He is flat out rude and off putting a majority of the time. we have come here many times over the years and we have finally decided to stop coming here. He says he will give you a prescription for something and forgets it. If you ask his opinion he says stuff like "we could try that" but never things like "I think your best bet would be to try x, y, z." I don't think he even enjoys what he does and some of the office staff aren't always super helpful. All in all I wouldn't suggest anyone taker their pets here unless it's as a last resort. I brought my old guy here as he was declining and the experience was just terrible. He seemed annoyed by my concerns. All in all not where I would recommend spending money or to get the best care. read more

Having two 4 year old black labs, brother and sister, can be quite challenging when both are about 100 lbs each. Yet, they are happy to see Dr. Jones and the staff whenever we come on for a checkup. I need to start off by saying, the vet here is AMAZING. The back office staff have always been caring, polite..I can not say enough. Everytime we go in and have an appointment, you will wait 1-2 hours past your scheduled time, but the vet was worth it. In the last 12 years of me going there, the prices have more then doubled, but the vet was worth that too. The front office staff is ruining this location and I will NEVER EVER go back. They talk down to you, demean you in front of other paying customers and just overall act godly as if they are the very reason you will get help. The vet is worth most of this. These people are amazing. Dr Jones is a good doctor. My only reason for going on here is to let people know if you leave your dog overnight, they are NOT watched. A staff checks on them periodically. Just understand that. I left my dog and he died alone to be found in the morning. No one there to help him if he was In distress. This was my fault. I was so upset I was not thinking correctly or I would not have left him. My big boy died alone. Don't let this happen to your pets. read more

After visiting numerous vets over the years, my family has entrusted Harris Veterinary Hospital with our beloved dogs and cats for the past three years and remain extremely happy. The primary vet, Doc Jones, is deeply knowledgeable and has quickly and accurately diagnosed the various issues of our animals. From heart and kidney failure in older ones to more benign issues with our younger ones, we believe they have received excellent and appropriate treatment that produced the best possible outcomes. Additionally, we came to realize we were getting badly "gouged" by previous vets with often unnecessary tests and procedures and sedations (e.g.: tooth cleanings turned into $2,500 extractions, gas/bloating for chihuahua turned into $3,500 exploratory surgery which revealed gas/bloating). We've had a few visits with what we thought were urgent issues which we quickly learned were minor or nonexistent. In short, we absolutely trust the integrity of this vet hospital. They don't make money by unnecessarily treating healthy animals, they simply treat more of the sick ones. If you are looking for less frills but a vet and staff you can trust with your loved animals, we highly recommend Harris Vet. We have regularly interacted with Delisa, Jorge, "Uncle" and Kaitlyn and all are great - we know these names because we have seen them for years as there is very little staff turnover. read more

I am new to the area and tried getting a Rx filled for my dogs at Costco. The Vet's office would not call the Rx in; said I had to have Costco call them. Costco said "No, the request must come their vet." After 3 trips across town the order got screwed up 3 x's. I called to say, "What is going? Can someone please help me out here?" I was later called back by someone else to be told I didn't need to hang up on their staff. I said there must have been a mistake, I didn't hang up on anyone. If you had taken your two legged child and got to the Dr. office at 8am and thought you would be seen immediately, I'd like to know who that Dr. is. You can not go calling in and guns blazing and expect that you are any more important than any other person. I've had a lot of animals and a lot of animals have had serious issues or injuries. I can't say how pleased I am with the folks here. Everyone has the kindest hearts and truly care. The place is a face paced vet, but it is very personal. It is very clean, quiet, and even when you have to say goodbye to a loved pet it still feels like family. The prices are doable but most importantly the care the animals receive is top notch. I would strongly recommend the folks at Harris. We have 2 dogs 2 cats and they are ranch animals to the bone. We recently lost a cat that went in for an amputation that he unfortunately could not recover from. They gave it their all and the sutures Dr. Jones crew put in were very nice and I will say did a very good job. I would mind him stitching me up! Wow am I incredibly disappointed I have an 11-month-old Dalmatian that has been a patient at Harris veterinary hospital since conception and birth today she woke up with an irritated red swollen right ear so we took her out at 8:00 AM to the vet Not knowing what we were about to encounter the front office Staff was extremely rude namely Delisa My daughter was told there was no vet on site That their schedule was too busy to see Stella for an emergency that we would have to re-appoint for a different appointment on this upcoming Monday. Which I find quite alarming if you have a patient with an emergency you have to make allocations to see that patient and that means that parent and patient must wait until the schedule is permitting so I decided to call back to Harris Vet today and spoke to the same rude disrespectful individual name Delisa when I asked to speak to Dr. Harris I was told that Dr. Harris died nine years ago and that his son Hunter Harris was the owner of the veterinarian clinic when I asked to speak to Dr. Hunter Harris I was told Dr. Hunter Harris is not a veterinarian doctor Which also has me very concerned because I would think if you were the owner of the veterinarian clinic you would at least have a veterinarian MD behind your name We have always seen Dr. Jones and Stella adores Dr. Jones as Dr. Jones he was always super patience and very kind to our Stella so when I asked Miss Delisa about the fact that Stella was having an emergency and that her ear was swollen and red and then I was concerned she had an ear infection and the fact that she was an existing patient I was told very rudely if I wanted to bring my damn dog in and pay the hundred dollars they would see her today "my damn dog" So I decided to take a second chance and call back and again I spoke to the same rude disrespectful Unconcerned individual name Delisa. When I told her that I was referred to Harris veterinarian by my Stellas breeder and mentioned the breeders name all she could say to me was yes this individual was a good friend of hers and wouldn't have a problem with the way she was speaking to me interestingly enough when I spoke to my breeder she wasn't aware that Dr. Harris died nine years ago and that Hunter Harris wasn't a vet when I asked to speak to Hunter Harris he was not available he was out of town the woman hung up on me refused to take my name refused to take my number prior to her hanging up on me "Her exact words to me were I'm sure Hunter will tell me to take Stella and find a new veterinarian office that they were not wanting to continue Stella's future care. "Now mind you I drive 20 miles round-trip just to see Dr. Jones and Harris veterinarian super sad that Stella won't get to see Dr. Jones in the future and I won't hold my breath because according to Delisa, Hunter Harris could care less whether I and Stella continued on with her care nevertheless I would not want my Stella to be in an uncaring insensitive disrespectful environment I would be concerned that they would take it out on her not Dr. Jones However, concerned about Delisa and if she represents Hunter Harris and Harris veterinarian, Hunter needs to take a second look at the shameful treatment and rude behavior of our four-legged family members I have continually recommended numerous associates and family and friends to seek treatment at Harris veterinarian I can assure you they will never get another referral read more

I have been bringing my dog and cat here for about one year. I am usually satisfied but not today. I had my friend take my dog only for one shot, that is what the appointment was for. My friend has brought him in there before for me since I have to work. Today, they not only gave him his shot but a list of many other things including cutting his nails that I NEVER asked for. He is going to the groomer in a week and I was going to have that done. The nail clipping was $25.00. When I voiced my displeasure, the lady I believe Debrah is her name said "well you should have brought your own dog in." Really? Dr. Jim Jones and staff at Harris Vet have set the standard rather high for animal care and customer service. Monday I had my first appointment at Harris Vet for my 16 year old Westie, Truman Newman. Staff was courteous and helpful. The office smelled clean! Dr. Jones listened to my questions, explained the answers thoroughly, pointed out the pros/cons associated with performing a multi tooth extraction on a 16 year old Westie. I chose to proceed. I was told to check back in two hours, 11:30am. I was greeted with the great news that Truman was fine! The procedure was a success! Dr. Jones has extracted 18 teeth! Truman was handed to me and amazingly, he was his normal, happy, inquisitive self! No grogginess whatsoever! Thank you for knowing to use gas anesthesia vs. Injectable anesthesia! My local vet did NOT know to do that and had given me the dismal offer to 'try' to extract the teeth and likely Truman wouldn't survive the procedure. I'm sorta glad he told me that negative medical plan as that proved to be the catalyst to set me on the path which lead me to Dr. Jones at Harris Vet. The procedure was made possible in great part to the reasonable rates at Harris Vet. They even included cleaning his ears and trimming his nails: FREE! Due to COVID evaporating our income, it was a dismal time to need a medical procedure. Thanks to Dr. Jones at Harris Vet we get more time with our precious Truman. So grateful everything that needed to go in our favor for Truman to successfully have his 18 teeth removed went well! Truman has fresh breath again! read more
