They are a wonderful staff and the doctor is very kind. Definitely worth a try for who hasn't.

This place is extremely expensive, and I did not feel that the staff truly cared about my pet. On Friday, July 3, I brought my very sick kitty in for a scheduled appointment. Because his condition had worsened, I called and asked if I could come in earlier. The staff told me to arrive at 9:30 a.m. and said the doctor would be there shortly. Unfortunately, the veterinarian didn't arrive until around 10:30 a.m. During that time, my kitty was in obvious pain and was extremely cold. Once the doctor saw him, a staff member came in to discuss the treatment plan and estimated costs, which totaled over $2,000. I agreed without hesitation because I wanted to do everything possible to save my kitty. He was hospitalized for the day since the hospital would be closed on July 4. While I was paying the bill, I was told I would receive an update on my kitty within 10-20 minutes. Two hours passed with no call, so I called the hospital. I was placed on hold for 40 minutes. I called again later and was put on hold once more. After another 30 minutes, a staff member told me the veterinary technician caring for my kitty was very busy but would call me back within five minutes. That call never came. Around 8:00 p.m., I finally received a call telling me to come pick him up and that they would go over his test results and treatment plan. When I arrived, my kitty didn't look any better than when I had dropped him off. I was sent home with prescribed medications, which cost an additional $300. Tragically, my kitty passed away the very next day. I called the hospital to let them know he had passed and asked if I could return the unused medication for a refund. The manager I spoke with showed very little compassion. She simply told me that because the medication had been opened, they could not take it back and suggested I donate it to a shelter. I understand that not every pet can be saved, and I know medicine has its limits. What was most upsetting was the lack of communication, the long delays, and the lack of empathy during such a heartbreaking time. Throughout the day, I struggled just to get a simple update on my pet after being promised one. When I picked him up, I also noticed he had multiple needle pokes, and it broke my heart to see him like that. I understand that hospitalized animals often require IVs and blood draws, but seeing so many puncture sites made me wonder how difficult his experience had been. I spent nearly $3,000 because I believed my kitty would receive attentive, compassionate care. Instead, he passed away the following day, and I was left feeling unsupported during one of the most difficult experiences I've ever had. My Queensland healer had a swollen right jaw it was on a weekend and they were open. They took them there. Everything seemed fine. The vet looked at them momentarily and said it was probably a truth and you have to come back on another day to be to be put under and have x-rays taken in then they would be able to decide if it needed to be a tooth pulled or what it would be. I said OK they gave me an estimate thought about it for a few days after the medication. They gave me that day. He seemed to be a little bit better, but I still made an appointment to take him back for x-rays.. Finally got an appointment which they canceled because there was no vet available that day for some reason, Made another appointment which the vet was not available that day, Tried one more time they made an appointment said they had a vet coming. I I asked you it was they said it was a lady at within 30 years of experience so I made the appointment. Took Auri in at 9:30 for the procedure they called me around four said he was ready to get picked up Went and picked him up and sat in the waiting room for 15 or 20 minutes and nobody acknowledge me Finally, I got up and said what's going on what did you have to do to Auri? Did you pull his tooth? Their answer was we put him under and took x-rays, but the vet didn't know how to read the x-rays. It wasn't qualified to do the extraction! I said you guys gave me an estimate on putting him under so you could do x-rays and take care of the problem all at one time but you had somebody here that couldn't read x-rays and you still put my dog under and I didn't understand Then they wanted to charge me $500 Needless to say, I was not happy. They said they would call me the next day five days later they call me and said I need to bring them back for more x-rays because those weren't good enough and put them down again Needless to say, I will not be back there again. I'm not sure there was even a vet there when they did the first procedure. New vet ever came out and talk to me.! I've been a client here on and off for years, the prices have always been reasonable, the treatment of my animals has been ok, not great but ok, that is until now! The new owners really care about the animals they treat! My Maddi kitten has been to 3 different clinics until I gave up and called to see if they would see her as an emergency patient! They got her right in and I showed the medications I was given to treat her eye infections with. It was recommended to run some additional testing since the medicines given were for viral infections. Turns out that Maddi has a horrible bacterial infection! With the correct medication she is finally on the road to recovery! I highly recommend this hospital. read more

I got a hand written estimate for $680 to cover all the details they told me my dog needed.. they sent me a text to cherry to make payments. They wouldn't start procedures until I was approved.. I had to show how much I was approved for, they saw the amount. I left my dog for three hours and they charged me $1,206 And he is not any better!!!! read more

On their web site they say they've been open since 1981. However a few years ago it was sold. They inferred it is still the same owner. Not true, the new vet took my dogs to the back room to examine them ( before it was sold the vets always examined them in the room while asking questions) they were gone only 10 minutes shots were also given within the short time. Never saw the vet after he left with the dogs. Prices went up dramatically...... Years past it was hard to find a parking spot or a seat in the lobby. Now one maybe two cars plus the lobby has plenty of seating.... They have lost me as a customer of 30 years because of the lack of attention from the vet, the prices nearly doubled and the staff act like they want to be somewhere else. As an experienced pediatrician, I am not a naive consumer of medical care. My dog was seen on an urgent basis for bloody diarrhea, and for that I give them credit. After that, the experience went down hill sharply. In dogs with diarrhea, it is reasonable to test for Parvo before entering the office, but rather than using the stool sample that I brought from home, they felt it necessary to do a rectal swab for Parvo, and then had to repeat it due to a failed test in their office lab. By the time we were seen mid-afternoon, Renzo had stopped having diarrhea for about 6 hours and had resumed his normal active behavior. The vet eventually came in to examine him and I explained my concerns that his problem was a recurrence of an episode of diarrhea from about 6 months earlier for which the clinic had labs on stool tests done at the time and that were negative for pathogens. This was news to the vet who left to check previous records. After a cursory exam, the vet mumbled some possible diagnoses, several of which sounded outlandish to me as a doctor. He spent some time scribbling a few notes, then suggested an extensive list of tests for diagnoses that seemed highly improbable for a dog that was, by then, behaving normally. He then left to create a formal estimate of costs and returned with an enormous bill for testing for these unlikely conditions. At no point did he suggest that a "wait-and-see" option would be reasonable, especially given the healthy appearance of my dog at that point. In fact, he started throwing around suggestions that Renzo should get a shot of a broad-spectrum antibiotic used in humans for surgical prophylaxis despite having no clear diagnosis at all, and when I challeged him to suggest a specific germ he wanted to target with the antibiotics, he could not do so. He suggested that perhaps Renzo would benefit from an oral medication used to treat certain germs that can colonize the gut and occasionally cause diarrhea, and I declined his recommendation as simply guessing and I already had that antibiotic at home and did not need to be sold additional drugs. He also suggested anti-vomiting medications despite no ongoing vomiting. I declined the use of drugs in the absence of a clear diagnosis that would warrant their use, and I declined the remarkably expensive collection of labs that he had recommended. It made sense to me to run a blood count and a basic chemistry panel to screen for undelying active infection and to assess balance of electrolytes that may have been altered with a diarrheal illness. Because I am a physician, I watched as they drew the blood, and the vet-tech asked if I didn't trust them. They told me that I should wait the twenty minutes it would take to run the labs in case they wanted to hospitalize my active, happy dog. I declined to wait and asked that they send the labs to my email as soon as they were done. The staff continued to suggest that I was doing something very risky by not waiting and they had me sign an "Against Medical Advice" form before leaving the office. Later in the afternoon, I received a call from one of the staff to advise me that they would be sending records to my email. Meanwhile, Renzo continued to be his normal, active self with no further vomiting or diarrhea. When I checked my email, the only thing they had sent was a copy of my invoice for $387, and not the labs I wanted, and by that time the office was closed. I called this morning to get the labs and they had difficulty finding them, but eventuall they arrived in my email box. The labs included tests for pancreatic inflammation, and despite knowiing that was part of the panel, the vet had wanted also to do a secondary, expensive lab test looking at basically the same thing, but which I had declined. I regret bringing Renzo there for care. It was a transparent attempt to run up huge lab charges to evaluate vague possible diagnoses. What I wanted was a vet who would employ his experience and good judgment in discussing my dog's problem, but that is not what I got. This vet was a very poor commuicator and was evasive in the face of my knowledgeable questions. His exam was cursory, and his recommendations were clearly more intended to run up charges than to make a thoughtful and experienced assessment of my dog. He was quite ready to throw around antibiotics without reasonably identifyable cause, and that kind of casual use actually leads to more problems than benefit not to mention cost of care. Charles R. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE THEY KILLED MY DOG!! I would rate this establishment even lower if I could. Into the negatives if it was an option. I took my elderly dog for an eye infection and within a month of her being under their care, she was so weak and her vitals were so low the could not even put her on IV which led to her being put down. At first her medicine was working and I had contacted them again for more medicine. I took her in for a check up and her eye infection suddenly turned to possible lymphoma, any treatment for her eye was put on the back burner and expensive tests were ordered along with new medicine. They had given me a call about her results, but I was unable to take it and they left a voicemail. I had called everyday after that to speak with the vet about possible next steps, her medication, ectra. No one reached out to me. I was placed on long holds, I was told by the techs that someone would call me back. I expressed my concerns as my girl was slowly getting worse. Her appetite suddenly gone, her movement slow and her eye sight worsening to the point where she couldn't even see and everyday I called in hopes that I could speak with a vet about her situation. Everyday I was told someone would review her chart and contact me and no one did. At one point I was LAUGHED at over the phone. "Oh I hope he calls you or you can yell at me next time." My fifteen year old dog that I raised since I was teenager and I'm concerned about her and I was dismissed and laughed at. I asked for her records every time and they refused to send it to me. The techs lied on their call logs and notes and said I didn't call. I have a call log. Everyone does it's 2026. When I finally became hysterical and started to yell over the phone about her condition did they finally take me in and "generously" comped the bloodwork they would do. After a small moment, I was called and told her there was nothing they could do. I was advised to take her to a specialist that day because of her situation. What could a specialist do to an elderly dog that can't even take an IV drip? I had to make the hard choice to put her down. They arranged for a one on one meeting with the vet who finally came back. I told them everything that happened. The negligence, the medicine that made my recovering dog ill, to being laughed at and to where they wouldn't even send me my dog's medical records. I wanted them to reimburse me for the euthanasia and cremation of my dog along with my payment plan with them to be halved since their negligence and lack of communication led to this. That was 1/30/26. It's now late March almost April and they are ignoring me still. If I don't reach out to them they do not reach out to me. I have my dogs records now and reviewing them it was advised that I take my dog to a specialist and yet no one bothered to tell me until it was too late. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE. They advertise about why you can trust them, have little signs in their establishment saying that pets are family and all that, yet they will take your money, laugh in your face about your dying pet, and dismiss you. read more

Unimpressed by my visit. Was short and sweet my dog had some hot spots. Talked with vet 5minutes and he concluded that my dog would need a Cytopoint injection 61-80lbs. Love my dog so agreed. Next they come in with the bill to have me pay first this has never happened to me before and I have had many vet visits with many dogs. I was shocked by the cost. $60 for exam and $230 for injection. Yep $290. Paid and dog received injection. Checked online is said that injection for that weight should cost between $80-$100. To start I was very happy with the doctor and staff. Friendly and communicative. Now I am putting my trust in this doctor with my fur baby and he made me feel secure with that. He says exam. Ok. He says labs. Ok. He says x-Ray. Ok. He says medication. Ok. Now $2000 later and my baby is doing better. The 3 stars is because they billed my care credit and did not follow through on the no interest. The whole reason to even use care credit. Now interest is accruing (high) and I called to let them now that maybe a step was forgotten, so the next person using the card doesn't have the same problem. Once I explained to whoever answered the phone. She kindly put me on to find out what happened and left me on hold for over 25 minutes. I called back and was put on hold for another 25 minutes. At this point I'm just seeing how long they will have me waiting. Hung up at 1 hour. This is really sad. I was calling to inform them so this wouldn't happen to the next person. They even called and scheduled the appointment for me, on my way over, Pacific vet called to confirm and took some info. Once I arrived they had a room waiting for me. The doctor was SO kind. He took the time to explain everything we needed to know and I can't be more grateful for my experience here given the circumstances. The ladies at the front desk were great as well. Stay Away. Your pet will die. Rip-off. 1. Can't make this stuff up. $1100.00 rip-off and pure negligence!!! 2. Made appoIntment. Went in for vet to check for ear infection and some balance issues for my 13 year old dog Maggie with pre-existing heart issue. I told vet Maggie is treated by specialist in Sacramento. Told vet in detail that Maggie had full x-rays, blood work, sonogram, electrocardiogram a month ago. Sent him medical records. Told him her blood work was pretty normal, nothing outstanding she was being treated for. He said he suspected was not balance or ear issue although her eyes were twitching but she was fainting. 2. 4 hours later. Yes 4 hours. 3. Veterinarian left. No one told me. 5. Totally forgot about Maggie in the cage and me in the waiting area. I kid you not. 6. Told me, "oops, should have told you, forgot, we'll delete $55 exam fee." 7. Vet did not review previous medical records. Gave unnecessary x-rays ($550.00) again after I told them she just had them then proceeded to tell me about her heart issue I already knew about and reported to them and even sent them records they requested showing this. 8. Ran home close by after 3.5 hours to grab quick bite to eat. 9. Called me to say results/vet was ready. I rushed back. 10. Different vet now. Asked where vet who looked at Maggie went. Told me other vet had to leave, "things happen" and "I can read rest resukts too." Was not familar with Maggie's case at all and did not review medical records I sent. Told me he should have. I asked about blood tests results. Had to ask him to check on status after 4 hours. Brought back blank results. Told me her blood clotted so there were no results. Vet made handwritten note on test results that "blood clotted." 9. Asked about her ear. Said was black crud. Probably a fungus. That's it. 10. I left crying hysterically now. 11. $1100.00 bill. Yes. $1100.00!!!!! 11. My daughter and I had to ask for test results at least 10 times the next day. Put on hold for 10+ minutes, no return calls or texts. Agreed to decrease bill to $550.00 like doing me a favor. 12. Found out they tested the clotted blood sample an hour and a half after I left. 3+ hours after they took the blood sample from Maggie. This is prohibited in any laboratory because gives false unreliable test results. New blood sample has to be drawn. Remember Maggie is 13 with heart issues and ear/balance and been in cage for 4 hours. I took her and left. 13. Based on false test results they sent me, Maggie should be dead. Reported zero calcium in her body and some unrecordable readings that were normal on last bloodwork. 14. They never compared them to previous blood tests I sent or suggested to take any further action. 15. The worst part? Maggie's balance issues got significantly worse. Had to take her to emergency clinic in Sacramento the next day. She's being treated for inner ear infection and vestibular balance issues. Cost me another almost $500.00 dollars. read more

One of our dogs scratched the eye of our older dog, so we took him to Pacific Veterinary Hospital for care. There used to be a very caring vet there who loved this dog but, unfortunately, he left, and the vet who was there when we came in took our dog in the back and didn't communicate what they were going to do back there at all. My daughter and I were left waiting in the exam room. Eventually one of the women on staff came in and unceremoniously told us to go back to the lobby to wait. Then, instead of coming out to the lobby to communicate with us, this man chose to communicate the protocols for administering the drops through his office staff. They give us two little boxes of eyedrops--very expensive--and tell us to put drops in his eyes from one box in the morning and the other at night. Have you ever tried putting eyedrops into the eye of a very active Boston Terrier? It's not easy, and we were losing most of the medication out of the tiny vials. So I went back and asked for an alternative treatment. This time, he prescribed an ointment, and, again, he didn't show his face and made the ladies do all of the communicating. Between two medications we spent over $500. Luckily, the ointment worked and our dog's eye is healed now, but I'm not taking either of our dogs back to Pacific Veterinary. read more

We had an appointment at 10:45, didn't take us back until 11:50 and we are still waiting on the doctor! It is now 12:15pm. The wait time is ridiculous. Not considerate of our time- we set an appointment time to be seen at that time not 2 hours later! Very unprofessional. We have a dog who lived a long life (14+ year) and her health is declining(not eating, urinating on herself, struggle to get up. we went into to euthanize her so she's not suffering,but he refused to.. he said it's cuz her teeth are bad and cost $2000 to fix."fix that and her quality of life will be better" we don't have that kind of money.. she's 14, how do we know she'll be okay during and after the surgery? It's taken me too long to right this review because unfortunately our little girl peach passed away here and it's hard to relive that day. But the vet and staff here are absolutely amazing! Truly a vet that doesn't just care about money which is hard to find nowadays and that's coming from someone that has worked in the veterinary field. The vet is I w if the most caring and compassionate vets I've ever met, he took us in his office and explained in detail what might be going on with our dog and the options we had. He offered to reduce or fee's for additional care if she made it through the night ( as they are not 24 hour) but sadly she went into cardiac arrest before we picked her up. The staff showed such compassion and sympathy for the situation and our little girl Peach. The doctor took care of the cremation of our girl and they even ordered us paw prints, nose prints and a locket of her hair. Keep doing what you all are doing through the pain and sadness we went through we are truly thankful we had your staff caring for her and we will continue to get our pets treated here. Nice receptionists and staff BUT the vet is ALWAYS late, this is the third time on all our 3 prior visits that they're late because they're coming from Tracy. We had an appointment at 945am vet didn't come until 10:15, today's appointment at 10am and vet didn't come until 1030am, another time we just left since we waited 15 minutes, and vet just said traffic, that's life there's traffic everywhere all the time, plan your day accordingly since we're paying you a lot of money for an annual visit ($192 for 3 different shots), I can't continue supporting a business that doesn't value your time and is constantly late, we'll be looking for another vet that comes in to the office on time. If the tables were turned and we were late, our appointment will be cancelled. Not sure if they're new owners but definitely be aware that they are not the same vets from 2.5 years ago when we liked coming here. I can guarantee you that if you make an appointment at this vet, expect to wait an extra 30 minutes as the vet is NEVER on time, if it was a one off, it's understandable as life happens but this is the third time in less than a year of all our 3 appointments in he vet has been late. read more

I found this veterinary clinic/hospital when my senior dog was struggling to eat, get comfortable and do anything else. She was put to sleep and the warmth I and my kids felt was very inviting. So I brought my kitties there for spay and neuter. Excellent service and treatment as well. I then bought my other fur baby (don't tell him he is a dog). Consistently received top notch care, service and with price's the common person can pay without choosing between vet care or buying groceries. I have even had the pleasure of bringing my fur baby in for care under the new owner and the comfort and attention to care was still very satisfying! I highly recommend! read more

Not happy with the care received today 9/3/24. Left so upset they definitely don't take their patients seriously. I took my dog in to have his ears cleaned And find out what type of infection is in his ears and his nails trimmed. He does not like the vet and he is very aggressive when it comes to doctors or tools so we have to pay a $200 sedation fee to have him sedated during the procedure. (The old owner's charge $50 for the sedation fee) I come to pick up my dog and they hand me my bill before I see my dog or a doctor Or know anything that they found out about my dogs ears. They told me Doctor left for a Family emergency and he is unable to talk to me. I noticed on my bill I was not charged for the nail trimming. I brought it up to the staff and they said "they totally forgot". It's very upsetting because I spent $200 Fee so that things can be done to my In a proper manner Because I can only have things done while He sedated even nail trimming. They're extremely short staff here. Also, expect to wait even if you schedule an appointment. They won't tell you they're running behind unless you ask for yourself. It's expensive as it is taking your pet to the vet, but it's worse when the business has all these possible additional fees and expenses, even when they're running behind schedule. Had a great experience today. Staff was friendly and clearly passionate about animals. My 10yr corgi Baxter was experiencing some urinary issues so I brought him in as a new patient. We saw Dr. Kaur who was thorough in her examination of Baxter. Dr. Kaur took her time and explained her recommendations and options available to me. I was able to make the best decision possible and within my budget without pressure. The technician who checked me out noticed Baxter was a bit nervous and she greeted him, validated his feelings and comforted him while she respectfully explained my options. This place is an absolute scam. Took my dog here for an open sore, and after a two hour long visit, was originally quoted at over $2500. They spent all of this time trying to convince me that my dog had all sorts of problems with her heart and leg that would require blood work, x-rays, and surgery. Went to our trusted vet in Galt afterwards only to confirm that her heart is totally fine and she just had a foxtail stuck in her leg that worked it's way out with antibiotics. I don't normally write reviews but after going here today and receiving the love I did today. Not only for my baby girls but for me as a mother. They truly went above and beyond to comfort my girls and me. It was not easy at first being that my girls are so attached to me at the hip and me having to leave. Their anxiety went bizzurk and there was no way for them to do the surgery anymore so they called me to come to get them, once I got there my girls were so calm, and everybody who works there were so surprised (surprised me as well) since they're such good girls. We then realized they had some serious separation anxiety. Oh my was everybody there so understanding and kind to let me stay and comfort my girls as they had to do what they needed to do. I have never been to a place so loving and understanding as they were to my girls and me. I could go on and on about how they made me feel so loved. They went above and beyond to give my girls comfort. I'm very big on people treating my babies as their own and they did. This is my second visit here. The first time was their first checkup and 3 puppies at once and they were wonderful especially as hyper as my 3 were together. I highly recommend Pacific Vet to ease your mind and ease your heart to take such great care of your babies. Janielle and her husband are so amazing as well as the staff they have working for them. You will not be disappointed. I love them and I'm so blessed I found a vet home for my babies. I hope you give them a shot and feel the same blessing of home as much as I do. read more

The vet didn't even greet our dog. 2. He didn't even exam our dog, not one single touch- just a let me see her walk. He then told us, it's her ACL, she needs an X-ray; priced at $1200+. When my husband asked how he knows it's her ACL, the very replied, "it's text book in dogs." Something besides his bed side manner didn't seem right so we decided not to proceed and get a second opinion. Today I called 7 veterinary- ALL who agreed the quote provided was outrageous and many said disgusting!!! We took our pup in to 2 different vets today and paid less than $500 for an x-ray... and guess what- not the ACL. So much for " text book" and a big eye opener to how much advantage he was trying take of us loving our puppy. DISGUSTING is an understatement! Money wasn't the issue- we would have paid well over $1200 for her care but what type of vet over charges for care? Ps. I also found out that I was wayyy overcharged for a spay- so dumb of me! Beware of new ownership. Unfortunately, this place got new owners, and all they care about is money. This place was 1 of 2 "low cost" places for spays/neuters in Stockton and they just tripled their new prices and don't bother to tell anyone until after you pay a deposit and can't get a refund for it. The new cost is nowhere near "low cost" and is almost $300 now when it was $80 last year when I went. Places like this are only out for your money and don't care about the well-being of your pet. read more

Even with an advanced appointment, I had to wait an extra 45 min. The staff were friendly and apologetic. I am not sure what happened to this establishment as I used to be in & out in no time when I used to see Dr Drew who unfortunately doesn't practice there anymore. I have always trusted the additional costs besides routine exam & shots but this time the Dr wasn't conveying the additional tests / medicines with confidence and using the worst scary case scenarios for simple things. I really used to think the world of them but my sons cat recently came down with awful scabs on his little ears and paws. They wouldn't tell us if it was mites or ringworm, we had to pay for a $550 test. I know they can tell what it is, but they wouldn't diagnose the cat and said if the treatment given didn't work to just bring him in! Like we have money to burn! And the cat is very uncomfortable. This Vet is outrages ! Took my pet there to get a allergy shot and they grossly over charged me !! I will be taking this further. They charged me Over $500 for a allergy shot. His shot last year was less than $200 I strongly believe it's because previously I pissed of the insignificant receptionist smh ! They lack professionalism. Like many vet offices, due to COVID, we have to wait outside before they come to our car to pick up our babies. While waiting, I started chatting with another lady in the parking lot (because her dog looked almost identical to my mothers). She was telling me how upset and frustrated she was with this clinic. She told me that they aren't helping her and her dog has this terrible rash on his stomach (she wasn't sure if it was due to a shot they gave him during the last visit but it appeared right after that injection and they were ignoring her)... She was trying to get in but was very disappointed and she drove away frustrated.... that was her story. Hope she posts a review as well. Here's our story. We have taken our little dog to them for routine shots and exams. Dog is only 2 years old. The other day we saw that she was missing a bottom tooth. We brought her back to see what's going on. We were informed, to our horror, she has "gum disease" and might loose another tooth. 1) Why didn't they notice her gums receding during the other visits to educate us as to what we should or should not do to prevent tooth loss? They have seen her at least 3 times in the last year (for shots, exams, questions about her scratching her ear). This doesn't happen overnight so clearly they didn't examine her gums at any point. If they had checked (to be honest I would have gotten a second opinion either way) but we would have started with a treatment plan to prevent tooth loss. We wouldn't have let it get that far. They shouldn't be overlooking the obvious. 2) I felt rushed... when I spoke to this female "vet", she didn't even seem sure of herself or what she was saying. Honestly, it sounded as if she had no clue. Answers to questions were "Uh" and "Um". THEN she asked me to hold and the next thing I know I'm talking to the receptionist. I guess that's the best way to deal with someone when you don't know how to answer questions.... Anyway, I left a message today for the office manager and still waiting for a response. Will post an update as soon as she calls me back. I know in the past, many people didn't have problems with this office, but I'm afraid that things are changing and I hope this review (if they read it) is a wake up call to take better care of our fur babies. read more

Pacific Veterinary Hospital Stockton Veterinarian Lakeview PLACE DETAILS Allan Abercrombie 5 minutes ago Caution - This Veterinary Hospital does not have the Pets best interest for medical care and pain management in mind as one normally experiences when seeking help for issues the pet experiences from time to time. Most recently I took one of my dogs into the Vet to seek care for ear infections and skin conditions that she has been to this vet for previously. These conditions seem to be far more serious than before. They examined my dog and agreed they needed to be treated by a dermatology expert and referred me to two alternatives within an hours drive from Stockton. I asked about any form of medication to treat the ear infections and pain my dog is constantly suffering or for the itching and loss of hair and redness of the skin and I was told I would need to get that from the Dermatologist. I immediately contacted both of the referrals and one half an hour away was pleased to provide my dog with care but the soonest they could see her was early July. The 2nd referral never returned my multiple calls. In the mean time my dogs condition has worsened and I called Pacific Vet again today to see what they might prescribe to help my dog between now and when I was finally able to get the initial appointment to get her professional care. I was told again I would have to get something from the referral Dermatologist when she finally gets in to see them with their schedule. This is insane and no way to claim they care about the condition of their established patients. I caution everyone considering this Veterinary Practice ...... when you need them most is when they turn their back and make your pet suffer. read more

I don't know why I've waited to long to leave a review. The staff here is awesome! I've had to bring both of my little pups in over the years for different things. From checkups to dental work I've always been pleased. I've come in as a walk-in on an emergency when one of my dogs was in her last day of life... and they were beyond kind and compassionate. The only small gripe I have is the prescriptions. The name brand is much more expensive than the generic. Would be nice if they offered the generic alternative. read more

59 years of coming to this place and never again. They have rotating vets and you never know who may be there. Had a prescription for our dog that had a refill remaining on it. Ordered from chewy and pacific denied a refill. They wanted a yearly checkup. Took dog in paid $55 for a check up and vet said he won't require bloodwork for our 14 year old dog but he would suggest we do it. Girl comes in with paperwork showing how much money they wanted. They wanted $187 for the bloodwork and I said I wouldn't be doing it. She leaves and comes back with a bottle of the medicine and my bill. I asked if I could have chewy send the medicine and they agreed they would be okay with that. Chewy sends prescription over and it gets denied as the vet needs to see the dog. I call and now they claim I declined bloodwork for $187 and they will not okay chewy prescription. Now they want $387 for bloodwork, somehow price went up $200 in 3 days. This place does not care about anything except money. They lied and then change the price. Beware of this place. My gut tells me the reason they have rotating vets is they are using new vets who need internships. read more

This place is horrible and cares nothing about your pets! DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE!!! Waited over an hour to be seen by the veterinarian doctor. He comes into the room and never once apologizes for having us wait. Not to mention how stressed out our pets were having to wait for that hour. Then spends less than a minute examining two of our pets. The appointment was for a wellness check and he never checked their eyes, ears, or teeth mind you! Asked if they were eating, or vomiting, said they were fine and left. Really??? They don't send reminders when your pets appointments are due (new owners don't do it). Staff is extremely incompetent, pricing is outrageous, and the staff and veterinarian doctor don't seems to care about your pet(s). Just seem to be going through the motions. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else!!! They are there for the $$$$$$!!!! read more

This place is deplorable, they have no shame in attempting to milk as much as they can from a grieving family. Our family has been coming to grips with the fact that we have to make the difficult decision of saying goodbye to a wonderful dog. Unfortunately our dog has been suffering for quite a while and is in constant pain and the time has come that he must be put down. The appointment was made and preparation were put in motion but when the appointment came they wanted to prolong the process and add on test and appointments that would add up to more than $2000 just to meet the same conclusion. The worst part is this wonderful dog must continue suffering and the children who went through the torment of saying goodbye to their best friend are going to have to do it again just because this place wants as much money as they can get from this grieving family.
