I had a deeply disappointing and distressing experience with Dr. Harris. I went in trusting his judgment, but I now regret that decision. He removed a well-placed cap and bridge--work that had been done properly by a previous dentist--in order to treat a cavity in a nearby tooth. According to a new dentist I saw in Elbridge, this was completely unnecessary and should never have been done. To make matters worse, the fillings he used were of poor quality, leaving me with discomfort and embarrassment, including bad breath. I struggled for a long time to find someone willing to correct the work he did. It wasn't until I found a compassionate and ethical dentist in Elbridge that I fully understood the extent of the damage and poor decision-making that occurred. There are dentists who respect their patients and practice with integrity--and sadly, there are those who don't. Dental care is not just technical work; it involves trust, ethics, and responsibility. I hope this review helps others make an informed decision. No one should go through what I went through. They must understand if someone is going to their practice because they trust them and messing them up ruthlessly is a bad karma no matter which race the patient. read more

If you have children, this dental practice should be on your speed dial. My daughter knocked out her front tooth at 10pm on a Friday night and Dr Bethke met us up at his office by 10:30pm. Dr.Bethke is my dentist. He is exceptional with everything that he does in fact he does everything to perfection. You out walk in and then you walk out with a smile. He fixed my entire top of my teeth. He has excellent staff that work with him and they treat you like you are so special. Reading other reviews and I'm shocked to see any one saying Dr. Harrison is rude or impatient...I find him to be one of the nicest guys I've ever met. We've been going here for years and honestly who really likes going to the dentist...I rank it up there with sitting through and insurance seminar while someone scrapes their nails down a chalkboard, but this place is great and the staff is always attentive and helpful. I can't speak to any oral surgery comments, but we've had fillings and general cleanings etc and they've always gone smoothly, and relatively pain free (thank you NO2). read more

I sought out this practice by searching reviews, and finally booked an appointment after the woman on the phone taking my appt was so kind and helpful. I had an appt in the late afternoon, and it was the perfect time of day to be seen. The office was quiet, and I was seen very quickly. When checking in the woman handling my appt must've been new, or unfamiliar with how to link my husbands profile to mine. She kept asking her coworker questions and kept having me verify his information for insurance purposes. I thought this was taken care of when I called to make the appt, as they told me they would verify insurance before appt. When I was called back I was told by the hygienist that I "qualify" for the 360* radiograph and was taken to another part of the practice to have done. I didn't think much of this, because I figured since they verified my insurance they knew exactly what my plan included and what didn't. I saw Miranda Torrey, she was very nice and gentle. She didn't give me the "flossing" talk that most dentists give, but mentioned it would help with gum sensitivity. Gave the the "all clear" and left the hygienist to finish my cleaning. It is now a few weeks later and I have relieved a bill from the practice for that 360* radiograph that I "qualified" for. Ugh. I felt like this practice was not upfront with the cost of this procedure, I would have much rather gotten the standard X-rays and saved the money since my plan did not cover this. read more

I've had good dentists, I've had bad dentists. I would put Dr. Harrison in the great category! The staff up front has been super friendly and patient. The hygienists and techs are also friendly and very knowledgeable. My cleaning was very thorough and at the same time pain free and I felt comfortable (if you've never had a painful cleaning, count your lucky stars!). Dr. Harrison is an extremely nice man. He answers questions, explains what's going on and all the while is very concerned about how you are doing (both physically and mentally). I'm always stressed out at the dentist, so its nice when a dentist is at least mindful of what I'm feeling. I would highly recommend Dr. Harrison and his office. I have mixed feelings on this place. I brought my family to see Dr. Harrison. I had two fillings replaced, and they don't look nearly as good as the original fillings. I didn't find him to be very pleasant or patient. Having said that, he did identify a speech issue that my 5 year-old had, just by examining his teeth. This was something that the speech therapist who had evaluated him missed, and now he is receiving speech therapy elsewhere because Dr. Harrison identified the problem. I can't say that I would make an appointment to see him again, but I do appreciate the speech diagnosis, which turned out to be correct. read more

My wife had bad experiences at a completely different dentist office in another city and, as a result, had avoided going to the dentist for years. When she went in for her first appointment in years to Dr Harrison, they offered her nitrous oxide and made her very comfortable. We've been going for 3-4 years now as a family and have had nothing but good experiences here. My wife had two of her wisdom teeth removed here and I plan to have mine reviewed as well. I have never been to this office but, I did have an awesome experience with Viola who took my phone call regarding a concern a had with my wisdom teeth. She informed that the Doctor at that location was very particular with extractions and that since my wisdom tooth removal wasn't an ideal case, she recommended me to an Oral Surgeon. Viola was very sweet. She was professional and took the time to give me recommendations for Oral Surgeons in my area as well as their contact info. I now realize that we all should definitely give a review if you had bad experience with any service, not just dental but especially any medical or dental services and it effects our health. Just came across this service again while searching for dentist around. Those days when I was naïve I trusted everyone and one time ended up with this dentist too. Very bad experience with Harris. he took a good crown on one my tooth , actually broke to treat the adjacent tooth. He put a temporary cover and I ran around like a headless chicken with stingy mouth and finally found a dentist to take that temp cover off and treat me. Thankfully that dentist was very honest and ethical, he told me who did this to you? He never had to break the crown like that. He could have saved it, but damage was already done. Some people make me even think they have proper license . I would never recommend him to anyone. read more

This is the liveliest dentist office in Texas. I've had three appointments so far and each one were very pleasant. I always feel welcome and appreciated when I'm there. The staff are so friendly. The dentists are very knowledgeable. I had a filling replaced during my last visit. I expected the procedure to last for hours. Dr Thompson finished the procedure in less than 30 minutes! Giving this place 1 star because I have to and the ladies working in The office are nice. Everything else wasn't a good experience. My x rays and cleanings went perfectly. My cavity filings not so much. Dr Harrison was not patient with me even while I was under nitrous gas. I could deal with that fine I'm a big girl whatever. So I scheduled my other fillings 2 months in advance, only for him to cancel 2 days in advanced. I will not be back and do not recommend this place to kids. I had broken tooth and was in agony. Dr Harrison personally took me in next two days to perform extraction and prepare for future work. He is in 60s and has energy of 20 year old. This is an AMAZING practice. I have seen both Dr. Harrison and Dr. Bethke who are both knowledgeable, kind and easy to talk to doctors. I am truly terrified of the dentist based on experiences with a prior practice but I don't dread going to the dentist any longer. All of the hygienists that I've encountered are fun, caring and super gentle. The office staff is so great - they work quickly, are honest with you and greet you right away when you walk in that door. Wait time has never been an issue for me. I LOVE Dr. Bethke... I'd been here before, a few years ago, and had my wisdom teeth removed, but then our insurance changed and they became out of network for us... I dreaded finding another place and put ioff going to the dentist altogether for more than 2 years (terrible- I know) I finally found out they recently started accepting our new insurance (aetna) and couldn't make an appointment soon enough! When I initially called the soonest they could get me in was a month later, but they put me on a list and said they would call me if any cancellations came up- I got a call from them the next business day (a Monday) and got an appointment for 2 days later. I went in today and everything is just as I remember it. The staff is SO friendly! The hygienist, Connie, is amazing!! My appointment was at 3:30 and I was sitting in the dentist chair by 3:35ish, which I think is great time, and she still apologized for the wait... I totally understand that sometimes doctor's offices run late, and usually expect it, but it was refreshing to feel like they value your time! I had a routine cleaning, I've had some bad experiences at other places (ouch!) but Connie did an amazing job - my teeth feel SO clean, it was pain free and she was so friendly and made me feel really comfortable. Since I was just having a cleaning and had no major problems (yay!) I only saw Dr. Bethke shortly but he was great, friendly and professional, just as I remember him I also had a short consult with Dr. Torrey for Invisalign, she was super helpful and explained the whole process to me. Overall I think Dr. Bethke and staff are great, They always make me feel at ease and do great work, I would recommend them to anyone! read more
