Avoid this facility, specifically Dr. Belivand. My experience here has been deeply unprofessional and hostile since day one due to her condescending attitude. During our appointment, a major hygiene failure occurred. The dental assistant put a hairnet over my son's hair, which had product in it, and then immediately attempted to work inside his mouth with those same gloves. While the assistant was polite and receptive when I corrected the cross-contamination risk, Dr. Belivand defensively interjected to challenge me. Once I stated the facts about the hair particles, she went silent, but then immediately retaliated by power-tripping over a "no phone" policy that was perfectly fine on our previous visit. When I requested a transfer to the male dentist at this location, the office chose to protect Dr. Belivand's ego over accommodating a patient. Today they called to cancel our upcoming Thursday appointment under the guise of a delayed flight and tried to push us out of the practice entirely. They would rather deny a child care and fabricate logistical excuses than hold an unprofessional doctor accountable for standard hygiene violations. I am glad they handled it this way because it saves me the trouble of ever returning to this dysfunctional office. Thank God there are several other dental offices in the Katy area that actually respect parents and prioritize basic patient care. read more

So my crown fell off Monday around noon. I thought I could just deal with it, but around 5pm I knew I had to have this looked at and fixed. I called left a message Monday night, by 915am the next day I had a call back and they fit me in at noon. Yes, the very next day after a message I left the day before. I recently went to Grand Parkway Smiles for my checkup in June. My last dentist became very rough during my cleaning. At Grand Parkway this was not as issue at all. Once I arrived I checked in with the kind office staff and waited approximately 5 minutes to be seen even though I had arrived quite early. During my appointment the dental hygienist was very gentle and communicated well with me to ease my nerves. My dentist was also able to clearly explain why I have jaw problems which was never the case at any of my previous 6+ dentists. I also appreciated the decor and the way the office looked as I think this has played a big part in how nervous I am for my appointment. read more

I was referred to this practice by my dentist because I needed a specialty service on one of my molars. The appointment was made a week in advance by their office. My dentist's staff forwarded my information, all of which are digital files, to their office. These included my x-rays and health records. They sent these when the appointment was made. When I arrived there, I met the condescending, inefficient and obviously lazy receptionist who denied receiving ANY of my records or information. What she did have for information was incorrect. She didn't even have a correct phone number or email for me. I had to repeat my phone number and email 3 times because she wasn't paying attention. She claimed to know all about the 3 teeth that, according to her was, the reason for my visit. She was was lying about the records or she wouldn't know any of it. It was one tooth which, according to her, was now 3 teeth and not one! Instead of calling my Dentist's office for my records, she insisted that I fill out all the forms again on a tablet she kept shoving in my face. She said the dentist would be doing his own X-rays and consultation. I would 'need' to pay the $40 consultation fee. I told her I wasn't wasting my time filling out all the health forms again NOR would I allow X-rays to be taken again when they were already done. She had the nerve to tell me I was making their process difficult. I replied that since it was such an effort for her to do her job efficiently, I would be leaving. She yelled loudly in a condescending manner as I walked out, 'You be sure to have a nice day, ma'am!' Since the reception staff is so inefficient, I wouldn't dare to trust my dental health with this practice!! I informed my dentist about the appalling experience I had with this practice which he referred me to. No one should ever be treated in this manner. I will NEVER return to Grand Parkway 'Smiles'. I will tell all my friends of my unfortunate encounter with them!! read more

It's been over 5yrs and I don't know why I keep getting there emails and promo ads. My family used to be patients but two incidents turned me away from them. The 1st one is that to work on my 4yr old they kept insisting that I would have to do IV sedation which is just crazy. I started questioning how safe it was and what type of risk there would be for a child so young, the lady at the front desk told me it's 100% safe and that if I wanted high quality service it wouldn't be cheap. I was dumbfounded by that response so I wound up moving my son to another dental office that could handle children. Then the second issue came when my wife scheduled her extraction she was also going to have to be IV sedated which was not a issue but when I checked my calendar to make sure I could take her since she would not be able to drive I saw that I had a conflict since I would be out of town for work. My wife called to reschedule and she was told rudely that the office is busy and it would affect the the schedule of both Dr Gomez and the anesthesiologist and if she didn't make her scheduled appointment she would be billed as a no show. When my wife told me this I was pissed with the way they treated her since the appointment was 3 weeks out. I called to explain to them that I would not be in town due to work and that it would be impossible for me to take and pick up my wife. The response just floored me, I was told that I should reschedule my out of town work meeting because they can not cancel. I was pissed and I moved dentist immediately but when I asked for them to transfer my records they looked for every excuse to not do it. What I found out about them after was that they had multiple Dr that specialized in different things so that they can be a one stop shop but would recommend additional work to be able to keep them all busy. They have the latest and greatest toys but they come with a higher price. The work that they did was good but Dr Gomez didn't have patience and would quickly recommend IV sedation. I heard they are now in Cinco Ranch which probably get them the customers they want. read more

We have finally found our dentist with Grand Parkway Smiles. The entire staff is customer service oriented, and knowledgeable in their field. My son sees Dr. Stephanos and she is absolutely amazing. Not only is she extremely experienced and kind, but I felt she was advising us as she would a friend or family member. She will not recommend more than what is necessary, and will explain her reasoning...making sure that you are completely comfortable and that all questions are answered. Jasmine and Arlene were also very helpful in answering all of our questions. They were always happy to help, and this level of customer service is hard to find in today's world. read more

If you aren't able to make it to your appointment and try to reschedule, good luck. I had planned to make it to the appointment but was told from my employer last minute that I would not be able to leave for my appointment. So I called the office as soon as I was told, in hopes to reschedule. Office manager Dassy made sure to scold me for calling in last minute to reschedule which resulted in a heated conversation between the two of us. I can't imagine if I actually got into a car accident on my way there and tried to call to reschedule. My son absolutely loved Dr. Gomez but I will never return as long as Dassy is working here. I don't know what Dr. Gomez did with their loving caring staff, but he needs to bring them back and get rid of Dassy!!!! read more

I am having such a pleasant experience here for my child that I decided to write a review while my daughters cleaning is being completed. This dental practice was highly recommended by my friend. There was no wait which is always awesome. It's a busy office but they don't over book which I really appreciate. Shows they are not greedy and more focused on quality. The dentist was sweet in communicating with my 8 year old. Some dentist have a very cold and impersonal vibe but Dr. David was like a parent in his communication. He made the analysis and procedure quick walking myself and my Daughter through what he is doing The hygienist, Mandy was fabulous! My daughter walked in nervous but Mandy made her feel relaxed because she speaks very calmly. She talked us through the proper procedure of brushing. I had such a great experience with Dr. Gomez and Dr. Bosse. Surprisingly, after visiting multiple specialists for implants; what I really needed was a caring Dentist. I had a somewhat emergency implant on my front tooth- and after so much research and anxiety about the procedure visiting other Doctors, I was relieved when I finally met with Dr. Bosse & Dr. Gomez. Horrible experience!!! Dr. Gomez came in very arrogantly. He then pulled up my X-rays yelling I don't like, I don't I like this!!! I had to look around because I couldn't believe a dentist would be sooo classless, rude and unprofessional! He then proceeded to look into my mouth. After examining my mouth he said it look like you have a cavity. I asked well do I have a cavity, his response was no but you may want to be careful because you could get some. After his horrible experience the receptionist and office manager were just as worst. I have been seeing Dr. David for a few years now and take all 3 of my children there. My youngest has been seeing Dr. David since age 3 (almost 6 now). I am incredibly pleased with the service and treatment that I AND my kids receive there each and every time we go. As a school nurse, I often refer students and coworkers to Dr. David without hesitation. I am impressed with their text reminder to schedule my 6 month follow up as well! The technology is state of the art and the office is comfortable and inviting. Dr. Gomez and Dr. Bose are wonderful, They know what they are doing and will put your needs first. I travel a lot and always seem to draw the small straw if I have any medical/dental issues while I'm away but the experience I had at this office was like I hit the jackpot. I broke a filling on a tooth by chewing on a piece of ice (you think id learn by now) and the tooth was bothering me and sensitive to everything! I was nervous as all heck going into a dental office I had never been to especially because I was in pain. Well let me tell ya, when I went in the nice lady behind the desk seemed more distraught about me breaking a tooth than I was! They took me right in and dr gomez was already in the operatory waiting to help me. He explained what the problem was and told me he could fix it without making it hurt worse. And that's exactly what he did. In 25 min I was leaving the office out of pain and I'm convinced that the tooth feels better now than it ever has. All I can say is that really had potential to be a very very bad day but because of this office it was a walk through the parkway! Nicely done, A+ in my book. read more

Well it's been a year now since I first came to Dr. Gomez, and I have to say that he and his team continue to meet and exceed my expectations. He always is very attentive to my concerns and explains options but never pushes any treatment on me. More importantly, he is gentle and I don't even know when he numbs me up. I had a problem with a tooth that had a crack in it. It was starting to hurt me. He was able to put a crown on it and now I'm back to chewing anything I want. I am going to make a new review, I love the dentist but not very happy with this office.. I had an appt scheduled and for some reason they did not put me on the books, I called to verify my appt but they told me I was not down, luckily they were nice enough to squeeze me in which was great.. they even did two of my spots at one time.. I had two additional spots scheduled so I ended up cancelling one since I only needed one more.. I just called to try to reschedule my spot for tomorrow because I just sold my house and or closing was delayed a week and they are telling me that since I have changed appts so much they will only give me a morning appt, I have two little babies and no babysitter except my hubby which can only watch them in the afternoons.. I asked if it was worth losing a patient over and she told me yes it was, great way to run an office and lose patients. read more

I hadn't been to the dentists in years, but I figured I better take advantage of my insurance. Came for a teeth cleaning. The office is near my house and had good ratings on Yelp. The office is nice and modern. I liked how I just filled out paper work electronically. They got me in right around my appointment time. If it's your first time here, be prepared to take lots of pictures for your X-rays. That probably took the most time out of the whole appointment. Dr. Gomez was very nice and professional. He will go over the X-rays with you and point out any issues you may have. I was very surprised that he did the actual teeth cleaning for me. I figured an assistant would do that. I liked that he did a follow up call with me later on in the day to make sure I had a pleasant experience. I don't think I've heard of anyone ever doing that, so big plus! Just had two crowns done with Dr. David Gomez at Grand Parkway Smiles next door to the Marco's Pizza on the Grand Parkway (naturally). Could not be more pleased and I am a person who has avoided dentists as much as possible. Very careful and considerate when working on my teeth. Dr. Gomez followed up in person after each procedure.
