Despite it being quite busy, the service was remarkably fast, efficient and friendly! The environment on a Saturday was definitely "pre-party" in that the music was loud (but just under being too loud), the crowd was happy and having fun. I saw at least one round of shooters going by to a table of older folks, lol! If you have an aversion to loud places, try the outdoor seats or maybe wear Loops or other such gear. It is a pub, but kids are allowed until 9pm. As for the food, we just ordered the calamari and the wings (salt & pepper as the hubby can't eat chilies). We were really surprised at how good they both were. The calamari had a thin, crispy coating that wasn't too greasy. The wings were properly and fully cooked without being overcooked. So many busy pubs serve half raw wings, so I was really pleased with the wings. Also, I thought the chicken was of good quality, not something I usually notice with this dish.

He said both were delicious! Our waitress Sydney made it so much fun for us and our friends. And we found out she lives in Hope where we were all staying. I also ordered a tequila sunrise. My friends ordered margaritas and raspberry cosmos. They said both were excellent choices and very tasty. I loved we could sit outside with nobody else lose there will all out six dogs!! Will definitely be coming back here on our next visit!

Ice-Cold Food, Ice-Colder Attitude…read more Lakeside Restaurant manages the rare feat of being cold in every conceivable sense of the word--and not in a charming, minimalist way. The dining room was so uncomfortably cold that it felt less like a restaurant and more like an unheated waiting room. Keeping your coat on is not a "vibe"; it is a failure of basic hospitality. Unfortunately, the temperature was the least offensive aspect of the experience. The service was frigid, detached, and borderline hostile. There was no warmth, no courtesy, and no pretense of welcoming guests. Staff moved through the space with the enthusiasm of people who would clearly rather be anywhere else, making customers feel like an inconvenience instead of patrons. A restaurant by the lake should lean into warmth, comfort, and atmosphere. Lakeside Restaurant instead delivers sterility, indifference, and a sense of being quietly judged for having the audacity to show up. It felt less like dining and more like being tolerated. Hospitality is about human connection. Lakeside Restaurant offers none. I left cold, uncomfortable, and genuinely confused as to how this place remains in operation. Save yourself the discomfort and go literally anywhere else.

And then when I asked for sauerkraut / ketchup and mustard .. she said I DONT KNOW ASK THE CHEF . She's the waitress , Tita with an amnesty rainbow letter shirt was black , straight across bangs with a bad attitude .. The hot dog is 8+ tax which is ridiculous already . - I don't need to be snapped at for asking for simple topping . ; The next waitress who helped us said she's always like that .. Unfortunately i always tip but this time i wont because the first waitress completely ignored me the first time i went in for breakfast , and i went back later because they weren't busy . And she still gave me attitude . Fire her , keep the nice friendly waitress In a white shirt and professional .. She asked me what I needed and definitely deserves a higher position for her service .

Cold in Every Possible Sense…read more My experience at Lakeside Restaurant was profoundly unpleasant, not because of a single mistake, but because of an overwhelming atmosphere of coldness--both literal and human. The dining area was uncomfortably cold, to the point where it detracted from any ability to relax or enjoy a meal. Patrons should not have to keep their coats on indoors to endure a restaurant experience. This alone signals a lack of basic consideration for customer comfort. More troubling, however, was the emotional temperature of the establishment. The service was distant, indifferent, and unwelcoming. There was no warmth, no attentiveness, and no sense that customers were valued. Interactions felt transactional at best and dismissive at worst. Hospitality is not merely about food; it is about atmosphere, care, and respect--none of which were present here. A restaurant situated by a lake should evoke comfort, warmth, and hospitality. Instead, Lakeside Restaurant felt sterile, uninviting, and inhospitable. I left feeling unwelcome and eager to be anywhere else. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone seeking a comfortable, welcoming dining experience.

All the premade food tastes & have the quality of a complimentary breakfast at a hotel. There are limited options & an omelette bar. Breakfast items quality is not the freshest & options of baked goods looked very unappetizing. We asked to be seated outside, & the view early that morning was gorgeous & peaceful. Our waitress was really sweet and patient. I'd say being outside in the sun & enjoying the view saves it. I didn't finish any of my plates & felt sick after. Right when I get to my room after breakfast, I had to puke. Was really hoping the breakfast was gonna elevate our hotel experience but did quite the opposite.
