Dr Danivesh - assumed he knew me. Never introduced himself. Did the cleaning by himself. Leaned over me with the drill instrument dangling in my mouth/throat. Allowed water to pour down my face. Was more concerned about letting his employee go to lunch and to remind me what the insurance would and would not take care of. Was extremely rough.. worst cleaning I've had in my 37 years. GET HIM OUT OF THERE. And I'm noticing a pattern with folks like him as an African American woman... I didn't act out because of shock and hate confrontation. My wife had a really bad experience here. She went for an emergency dental bonding procedure. She was in a hurry and want to get just the bonding done but the dentist seems to be interested in recommending all the procedures he could. He did a crappy bonding job and when asked about uneven finishing he seemed really rude and was like I am not a cosmetic guy- I get you are not a cosmetic surgeon but we expect you to do a decent job with simple procedures like bonding and filling. You expect the dentist to recommend what's best for you but the dentist seems really pushy about doing procedures which gets more $$ from insurance/you - not the ones like cleaning even though she need one. read more

I love the office in Cary! I live in Durham but drive 30 minute to the Cary office because I love it so much. Retha Beasley is the sweetest woman and is always so excited to see patients come in. I am beyond grateful for her efforts because she is so understanding and caring. I love coming to this office! At first I chose them because they are in network for my insurance and right around the corner from my home, but I stay because of great care. They are kind, friendly, and thorough when they explain everything concerning my dental health. In fact, the dentists and hygienists I've had here explain at a level of detail that I've never encountered at the three other offices I have attended in the past and it has been very helpful for my own self care. When working with my insurance to see if I could get coverage for my night guard, the staff took the time to look at every option and explain it all to me. Recommended! read more

These guys are amazing. They were compassionate and friendly throughout the experience. I saw them as a second opinion from a bad experience with another dentist. They explained every single thing they were doing before they did it, asked me many times to give feedback on if anything hurt, and even let me know what the charges would be after insurance before doing anything. Dr. Barger was knowledgeable and patient, had a great bedside manner and knew his stuff. He explained thoroughly all the tests he was doing, as well as what was wrong with my tooth and what they could do to fix it. The hygenist, Amy, was gentle and kind while cleaning my teeth, and gave valuable information as to what I could do to better clean my teeth on my own. Definitely going back for follow up. This was my first time at this office and they made me feel like I have been going there for years. I can't thank each and everyone of the girls I saw enough; Elisha and Dr. Messenger are a great team. They made sure I was comfortable (Elisha even brought me a bottle of water) and Dr. Messenger excited my expectations by fixing my tooth and even my bite that was off for years!! Elise made sure I was kept up to date with the exact the cost of the repair before doing it since I didn't know it was possible to fix. Amy, the hygienist, was so gentle and extra cautious (I'm on 3 blood thinners and my heart doctor didn't want to stop them if it could be avoided). It was the most thorough cleaning I have had. I will definitely be going back in 6 months. I would highly recommend them if you are looking for an dental office that truly cares about your mouth and not just your wallet. Hands down the best dentist in the area. Not only do they respect their patients but they go avoce and beyond. They truly care about your well being and are willing to invest their time into explaining whatever it is you want to know. They work with you and include you in the process whixh is great for people like me, who fear going to the dentist! On top of that their administrative staff are just as committed and professional, they took the time to basically battle my insurance company on my behalf and made sure i knew what was happening. They even took the time to call and chexk up on me (several times) to make sure everything was goibg as planned! Never again. I recently moved to NC and was in need of a dentist. Making the appointment was a hassle: I gave all my information on the phone, and twice they called me back to reverify different items. The reminder call for my appointment was a week before my appointment which leaves me a whole week to forget (thank goodness for electronic devices that remind me of everything). I get to my appointment 20 minutes early and the receptionist was very friendly and the waiting room clean. I was told to fill in my medical chart on a computer, easy , until I was asked something that I did not agree to, there was no option to disagree, only except and move on. I called them on this and said I would not agree to this (using my images in public relations) . Without agreeing the computer would not let me finish. I think this is what upset the X-ray lady. The lady that takes the X-rays tried to convince me my photos , nor the images of my teeth would for sure not be used for anything. But that is not what the document said, finally she told me to hit that I except but at signature just type NO. Ok, seems weird but ok. I get taken to do my X-rays. They use the older type were they have to stick a hard plastic thing in your mouth, tell you to bite down while they shoot the photo. My mouth is small, every dentist I've had has told me this. I tell the X-ray lady that it hurts, I gaged a few times and she just tried rushing me through it which made it hurt more. After a few times of gagging she started taking the plastic piece out between X-rays (which helped a little) the final draw was her telling me that the next X-rays will be more uncomfortable, she stuck the plastic in, I began to gag, with this thing in my mouth she stops and asks if I feel discomfort, would I like her to stop. I try saying "hurry up, take the photo" but she can't understand me. She does not take the photo, she takes the plastic thing out of my mouth and asked what I said. I tell her that all I was saying was to take the photo. I said nothing else, she accused me of being rude in a very unfriendly antagonistic way, so I told her that I would show her rude and left. The medical professionals forget that we are clients, they are getting paid for a service, a little kindness would be nice. Just because they got us in the front door does not mean we have to stay there. I have bad teeth, they could have made a fortune, their loss. read more

I moved to Cary not that long ago and was in search of a dentist for a regular exam/cleaning. Through my employer I signed up for basic dental insurance and was worried what it would cover. I will say the front desk staff is super polite and helped explain pricing ahead of time. If this review was just for the receptionist it would be 5 stars. The waiting room is also very pretty. As far as my actual appointment I was not impressed. I will preface this review by saying I've never had a single cavity, root canal, or any gum/tooth problems but I will admit I could floss more often. The hygienist come in and took my blood pressure which was around 119/70 and asked if I was nervous because it was so high. It took her a few minutes to then say oh wait those numbers mean it's low. This is a great start to a visit. Then she did x-rays and started to examine my teeth and gums. She used some kind of water spraying/pic device that ended up with her basically spraying me directly in the face with no protection several times. She jokingly mentioned how it was a good thing I didn't have to go back to work after my appointment. She never one got out or used floss. My favorite part, and this isn't specific to just this office, is when she kept typing and then sticking her hands back in my mouth after touching the keyboard. This is the same keyboard she had been touching with every other patient all day. She then ended up leaving and handing me off to another woman to do more x-rays. Apparently her shift was done and she was done for the day. The second woman, no joke, must have taken 15 different angles of x-rays which is excessive considering I have no issues and straight teeth. Finally the Dentist comes in and takes a look and says I need to schedule an appointment to come back and get a "deep clean". I asked what was different about this deep clean and her immediate response is "why because you're trying to not come back?". How silly of me as a patient to ask why I should have to take off work again and come back into the office for you to finish cleaning my teeth. This second visit would cost me $100 on top of that. It would be wonderful to go to the dentist and not feel pressured into unnecessary procedures so they can make money. I didn't make a scene I just payed my first copay and left. They have repeatedly called me and left messages on my cell phone trying to get me to come back in. I've done a better job with my own tooth brush than the initial cleaning but yeah I'm going to pay for you to finish cleaning my teeth.. not. Save the fancy pen, glass, and other fun freebies with the practice logo on it and stop pushing things on patients that they don't need. read more

Today I visited this place and bought the coverage for a year with the payment of $299:00. The sole purpose was to get my teeth cleaned! The lady in the reception said that the package I bought would cover for a routine cleaning for no additional cost! But horrific thing happened when the receptionist came with another charge sheet of $164 first and $1065 next. I said I needed the only services that the package I bought paying $299 would cover.Then they showed their true nature of "trapping and cheating" and responded that they already got my X-ray done and the dentist checked the X-ray! With this excuse they charged $244 and refunded $55! I lost $244 without my teeth being cleaned but they lost the credibility which is the invaluable asset to any business! I did never write any reviews but the visit to this Harrison Pointe Dentistry has been the worst ever and felt too much insulted as well as cheated and with the view of making other folks aware of this fact, I am writing here! I would appreciate if any one wants to join me in the mission of preventing such ills to take place with others like me in the future! read more

Dr. McDuffie has been my dentist for about a year and recently put veneers on my teeth. She is experienced, well-trained, and professional in everything she does. I can tell that she takes a lot of pride in her work. She was very focused while working on my teeth and paid special attention to how my novocaine shots were administered. She has invested in the latest technology and doesn't cut corners. There was much less pain than with my previous dentist. Her staff has always been friendly and transparent with all costs. I left my previous dentist because, while he was good at what he did, it seemed like he was not listening to what I really wanted and instead pushing what he wanted. I knew Dr. McDuffie would do a good job on my teeth because she has so much experience, but I was more impressed with how she would only do what was in my best interest. She never pressured me and laid out the pros and cons of each option I had. It was important to her that I got a good value. Instead of rushing into a procedure, she listened to what I wanted and laid out the routes I could take to arrive at a solution. The experience was painless. Her assistant Hope was well-trained and insightful through the whole process also. Hope was very helpful and friendly and always in coordination with Dr. McDuffie.
