I like Dr. Lloyd because she is nice, competent, and does not try to upsell every possible service like my last dentist did.

I have general anxiety and they were both so lovely and truly care about their patient. And minimal pain yesterday and none today. And I'm beyond grateful they offer such reasonable pricing. After spending nearly 2,000.00 plus travel…read moreexpenses with Williams, Daily & Frazier, I was abandoned mid-treatment with no care plan in place whatsoever. I was told by Dr Frazier that I was in urgent need of a bone graft due to a previous injury to my front tooth which was capped and failing. It was explained to me that my bone was receding and that my extraction and bone/gum graft needed to be done "sooner than later". Over the course of 5 weeks, I twice travelled 3 hours each way incurring travel and hotel expenses and spent nearly 2,000 dollars on temporary inserts and scans deemed necessary by the clinic. On the day of the procedure, I was somewhat nervous (as anyone would be) and it took me some time after receiving Valium and Nitrous Oxide to get comfortable. After 50 minutes, I was told by Dr. Frazier that I was not ready for the procedure. Although I was nervous, I expressed plainly that I was comfortable moving forward. I was then told by Dr. Frazier that I was not "comfortable enough". I am a medical professional myself and any experienced physician or nurse understands the basic principle that comfort level and pain are subjective. Pain and comfort are to be stated and gauged by the patient, NOT the physician. Dr. Frazier then stated that he was not comfortable going forward with the procedure, with no further information given. I then left with no explanation, no subsequent appointment, no RX for antibiotics / infection control (with a current infection in the root and maxilla above my tooth), and no instruction or recommendation for pain control. Dr. Frazier did, however, give me several injections of Novocain, which caused incredible pain after wearing off that I was unable to control for several hours with OTC medication. Unbelievably, I was then allowed to leave the office ALONE after being given 10 mg of Valium and Nitrous Oxide for over 1 hour. This clinic is lucky that I did not have an accident or injury while awaiting my partner in the parking lot / road for ten minutes while sedated. Since last week, I have experienced significant pain, and my infection has continued to cause extreme discomfort. I finally called the office this week after no follow-up and was handed off to an office manager named Tess who again provided no detail or explanation, simply offering to refer me to another clinic (which I can clearly do myself). I must now begin this process from square one with another provider. It is shocking and frankly disturbing that a medical professional and licensed dental clinic would conduct business in this unethical manner. There is clearly a lack of experience, knowledge, and ethics within this practice. I have reported them to the ADA out of serious concern. Patient abandonment is considered a serious violation per the ADA code of nonmaleficence: 2.F. Patient Abandonment. Once a dentist has undertaken a course of treatment, the dentist should not discontinue that treatment without giving the patient adequate notice and the opportunity to obtain the services of another dentist. Care should be taken that the patient's oral health is not jeopardized in the process. I have reported this clinic to the ADA and will be filing a suit against them. I strongly suggest looking elsewhere for treatment.

I've never had so much trouble getting a doctor's office to submit basic information to insurance…read more I paid upfront for Invisalign treatment in early February, after being promised that they would submit the claim to my insurance. However, they did not even submit the claim to insurance for nearly 2 full months, despite multiple requests to do so. Once they finally submitted the claim (in April), my insurance asked several basic follow-up questions about the treatment so they could process the claim. It has now been another two months and Crabtree Valley Dental has still not provided that info, despite multiple letters from insurance. Over the phone, they keep assuring me they will take care of it but weeks go by with no action. It seems pretty clear now that because they received my money, they they have little interest is helping with my insurance claim. I previously had good experiences with CVD, but I do not recommend that anyone pay for any treatments up front with them. Make them submit to insurance first, because otherwise you may never see that money again.

First they sent me a bill from an appointment that was 6 months prior for charges that I had no knowledge of - they backtracked and said they don't take my insurance anymore and I needed to pay it. No, that's not how this works! I paid what I was supposed to pay when I was there, they wanted even more after 6 months?!? The way I found out was when my daughter went for her appointment and they told her it would be somewhere around $100 for what we had been paying $0 previously. No notice! I told her to get back in her car and come home, do not go sit in that chair for your cleaning! The office staff had the audacity to tell me they would charge me for a no show if she didn't stay, somewhere around $100. I laughed, and told her that it is on them for not informing us of their change in accepting our insurance and to come find me for that missed appointment charge - please, come find me! That was the end of going there. It's a shame. I liked Dr Adams, he was nice. It's the lack of communication with the patients in which they lack that led me to find another provider. Touché

It turns out, multiple aspects of dental work by Dr Adams was incomplete and done very poorly. After years of an infection that broke into my sinuses, I went to see a specialist who immediately identified the poor work. He also knew exactly who did the work, as he has had to help other former patients of Dr Adams with similar issues. Thousands of dollars, multiple procedures, and multiple health issues later, I am back on track and healthy. As a side warning - over the years, I have posted about this experience on provider review sites. Those reviews, and others I would see about similar botched work by Dr Adams, have since been removed.

I was disappointed time after time until I found his practice. He just recently saved me $4000- $5000 by using a bonding techinque preventing me from having to have braces to correct a flaw in my smile. The products and techinques he uses are far superior to others I have been exposed to/ tried in the past. There is a art to his work--

Looking back, the anxiety was so high that I would have just continued suffering and hiding my smile except for the pain I was dealing with. I had some bad experiences with dentists as a child. His staff was very friendly and accommodating and Dr. Andreaus himself was amazing. He took his time to explain everything to me, he answered a ton of questions I had, we went over a ton of options, and put together a treatment plan that would focus on the immediate pain, and then deal with the other problems one stage at a time as I was comfortable. He completely set me at ease. He was never judgmental or preachy about my lack of dental treatment in the past, and he was very friendly and easy going. I've been his patient for several years now (I had a lot of problems) and I can say with full confidence that he is an amazing professional and he really cares about his patients. I'm not just another number or random patient to him. I still have a lot of anxiety about getting any dental work done, but those are long seated fears that have just taken some time to get over. Having said that though, I totally attribute it all to Dr. Andreaus. I've thanked him a number of times, but I don't think I've really articulated how much he has meant to me and how much I appreciate him. I'm proud of the work he has done for me and I've relearned how to smile and laugh without trying to force a grin and keeping my lips over my teeth. I still have more work to go, but I wouldn't trust my teeth and my smile to anyone else on the planet. If you are like me and need a dentist that cares and has fantastic skills (really, he is amazing) then you have GOT to see him. You will be in great hands. Also, when he gives you options for treatment he will also give you some recommendations. I suggest trusting him and going with his recommendation. Don't be afraid to ask questions either. PS His office has great artwork and is really easy to get to on Glenwood (Five Points).
