Really appreciated his willingness listen ask client for advise on options before moving forward. Installation was made challenging due to large non movable center island which sat on old Pergola flooring. Note, in photo shoe mould not nailed in as team was requested to just cut so that the primed moulding could be painted first. Also had Rich's install new carpet on main hall staircase. This too was a quality job.

I've emailed them about this fraudulent charge and have yet to receive a response. Shocked to see this crude scamming. Refusing to issue a full refund is typical corporate scummy business practice but submitting a false charge is an unethical act that usually only businesses of lesser sophistication pursue.* Picture of fraudulent charge below! "Lauren R." has responded on behalf of Lumber liquidators with the predictable corporate PR 101 cookie cutter damage mitigation response. They have not reached out to make this right!* Tl;Dr: This company increased the price AFTER I paid the invoice and by 14%! When I canceled the order due to them violating our contractual agreement, they refused to issue me a full refund. I had to hound them and was lied to numerous times and still have not received what I am owed. To add insult to injury, all of the employees I interacted with were apathetic and profoundly rude. On Friday, 08/27/2021, I paid the invoice in full. On Monday, 08/30/2021, the material was delivered. On Thursday, 09/02/2021, at 4:26pm, they called to inform me that they had made a "mistake" and that I would have to pay an additional $162.00 AFTER I paid IN FULL for their services. The salesperson then belittled me telling me there was nothing he could do since I ordered "cheap" flooring as if that should be at all relevant to whether or not you rectify a mistake the company made. He acted like they were doing me a great favor for charging me $1, 311.81 to install laminate on a 150 sq. ft. room. When I told them I wanted to cancel the job (as not only was this unethical but made their price exceed their competitor) they refused to pick up the material without charging an additional fee. I had to lug the material down my stairs and into my car (whilst recovering from Hernia surgery) to return it to the store. The employee didn't even have the decency to put on the typical customer service act and pretend to care or apologize. Once at the register, I had to prod him into revealing that I wouldn't get a full return but a partial minus delivery fees of "$221.00". I asked to confirm how much the refund would be and he told me the amount minus "$230.00" Two days later I received refunds that added up to the price I paid minus $261.73. The delivery fee was $229.00 in actuality as per the paperwork from the invoice. (A ridiculous price as the amount of flooring was able to be transported in my compact car and required only one person to move. Moreover, I wasn't even given the option to pick up the material which I certainly would have had I been allowed and known how easy it was and how much the delivery fee was.) Back to the delivery fee: I called the store to ask where the remaining $31.73 ($261.73-$229.00) of this already inadequate refund was. I was rudely told that I had been refunded the correct amount. I broke down the math for the salesperson and he changed his story, now revealing that the rest of my refund was being withheld because I only returned 6/7 boxes. This is a patent lie. I returned all of the boxes. When I called him on his bluff, he insisted that I stole the box of lumber worth $17.00! After we exchanged words, he escalated the situation and threatened me twice. Finally, after cooler heads prevailed he said he would "do me a favor" and give me $17.00 for the box of lumber he falsely accused me of stealing. I informed him that I was missing $31.73 not $17.00 and he said the rest was tax on the delivery fee. He could have told me part of the missing money was tax at the beginning of this conversation but did not. After I ran the calculations whilst on the phone (something he couldn't even be bothered to do) I agree that that made sense however the tax amount was a dollar too much. He refused to give me this paltry amount that I argued for on pure principle and told me to "take it or leave it" and call "corporate". The corporate hotline wasted 30 mins of my time waiting on the phone and they only gave me back a $1.00 for which I have to go through the tedium of printing, signing, and scanning an agreement instead of just issuing this tiny amount like any normal half decent company. Avoid this company like the plague! Wish I could post the video and audio recordings I have as evidence in addition to the pics below.

While they were shaving my post I watched a worker take chunks out of the wood. I stated it needed to be fixed. the worker used wood filler that wasn't stainable. it's their job to know that not mine. I allowed them to do the work -I come back to a broken storm door completely bent screws missing that I had to fix myself- there was a gash in my wall on my stairs that I had to fix myself as well - no thank you from the company. there was a blemish on my floor right by kitchen- there was a stain in my closet -there was a stain in my dining room and my post going up my stairs was silver in multiple spots. I addressed this with the owner David Habib and he basically said well there's nothing that they could do nor did he offer any type of compensation. He said they would color it or try to blend it. He Didn't want to pay for the post that they ruined - so my husband said we would split it and we didn't have to. I told him the post could not stay like that/ it needs to be changed/ the post was on back order for three months. I told him when he came if he was going to take the post out I don't wanna have to deal with any more problems- he could not guarantee that. I could've been a bitch and said I don't care if it creates more problems if it creates more problems then you resand the stairs and you fix it but instead because I'm a good person I said I'll just leave the post like that after paying $7000 and I'll touch it up as best as I can thinking that I was preventing him from going into a bigger problem which indirectly wasn't my problem. the spindles on my stairs were taken out and never glued back: sent him a message about that got no response . I decided to call his partner Sean and tell his partner that where I come from this is not how people do business if the job is not 100% then I should be offered compensation and I'm not paying 100% of the bill. This wasn't one issue it was multiple. He came to my home clearly wasn't too happy about taking a dollar off the bill- he just wants to have imperfections in a home and not give a shit. offered a credit to the company and I said a credit will not be suffice. If you hire this company you better make sure the work is perfect because he will pretty much tell you to go fuck yourself and not give a shit about fixing it. My husband told him he needs to take $600 off the bill due to stains that I have to look at and live with for the next 15 to 20 years I think that was pretty fair. Both myself & my husband had no problem with anything else but had a problem with them not taking accountability for the multiple stains and markings that were on my floor after the job was done. we thought All was good but since David Habib had to finally move like a real businessman with morals he's mad- four weeks ago a worker dragged a box across my floor. nothing major the floor just needs to be buffed I sent multiple emails multiple text messages/multiple voicemails myself & my husband for five weeks to try to get in touch with them- they both ignored us. They want to appoint blame at the customer for having a reaction to their work the picture speak for themselves. Got a new company that wanted the color bc its custom - so consistently stated we need information & ignored on every attempt - finally Dave answers 6 wks later and says due to circumstances find someoneELSE to fix the job. I all of a sudden don't want to live w stains and markings on my floor and post that can't be fixed - stay tuned David habib I'm just getting started ur a horrible businessman Ps don't listen to anything he has to say in his response - trying to save face - narcissist- is getting mad at others people's reaction to their shit behavior - what I stated is exactly the truth !
