I had to see him twice, the first time for x-rays and a cleaning and the second time to repair a chipped tooth and close some openings I had. That first visit, I was brought to a chair immediately as soon as I walked into the office. The second visit, I was brought to a chair within 5 minutes. He was very communicative informing me what he was going to do every step of the way. His bedside manner was beyond my expectations. And after my second appointment, I received an email from Dr. Wiseman wondering how I was feeling after the visit. All in all, 5 out of 5 stars.

A few things to expect before booking your appointment: - a very helpful & professional receptionist to book your appt - an extremely bubbly, friendly, adorable, funny (I'm running outta adjectives but you get the point) assistant. She always makes me feel the most at ease that she can before the (torture) procedure starts. She's been working with the doctor for as long as I've been a patient so again... good sign! - A dentist who does only what he has to do & is not trying to soak his patients of their hard-earned dollars. I've been lucky enough to not have needed much dental work (got a full mouth of chicklets) but after my cleaning in July, I ended up experiencing some sort of discomfort on one side on my mouth on & off for a few months so I thought (nervously) I better get it checked out! Went in about a week & a half ago & he gave me the possibilities of what was happening (I googled the symptoms beforehand & was getting nervous that a root canal - my first ever - was coming in the near future - YIKES!!) He told me he would know more after removing the old filling & he decided to try fillings & bonding to start - probably because he saw the look of terror when he said "extract" or "root canal"!! He also told me what to expect & that I should give the tooth about one week to settle down & he was completely right about that! I'm not 100% sure that fillings will solve the problem but the aching seems to have subsided for now so I'm gonna ride it out & see what happens. I am unable to floss where the work was done so I left a message for a follow up visit in hopes that it's an easy fix. If not, I can always update my Yelp review... lol! P.S. If you don't hear back from me in a week or two with an update, it all went well!! ;-)

Pretty crazy receptionist…read more Called to find out if they were in network and very pushy, old woman answered (who we knew would probably be a pain in the ass based on Dr. RMs google reviews, but we said whatever we'll see for ourselves). She couldn't tell us but said she would find out and call us back, we said thank you. She was kinda pushy, but nothing I couldn't deal with. Through my life i've usually been able to reasonably deal with old temperamental people. When she got back in touch with us (after we missed her calls, which was appreciated, hence the two stars instead of one) she immediately starting asking us when we wanted to schedule our appointments. However I still did not know if we were in network or not. So I had to repeatedly ask her how much we would have to pay with our insurance, if we were in network or not, until she finally answered and said: "NooOoO, IM PRETTY SHA I TOLD YA DAT FROM DA BEGININ!" (No..she did not.) Anyway, i brushed it off said: "Okay, well i'm sorry but I don't think i'll be making an appointment because you're not in network. Thank you for your help though" As any sane person that pays for dental insurance would do. Why would I NOT take advantage of my dental insurance and pay extra if I don't have to? Lol. This is when she basically began trying to infer I was a cheap ass for staying in-network stating, word for word: "WHAT YOU DON WANNA HAVE TO PAY NUTTIN NEVA???" At that point, in disbelief, i firmly said thank you again, but we just don't think we'll be moving forward with you. While explaining this she began repeatedly talking over me, louder, saying: *"WHAT KINDA WERK DUH YA WANNA GET DONE?? To which I began repeating *"Thank you but we just don't think we'll be making an appointment as you're not in-network" While being cut-off, louder, every-time with: *"WHAT KINDA WERK DUH YA WANNA GET DONE??" This bizarrely, went on for about 15-20 seconds at which point I promptly for the first time in my life hung up on a business/person; knowing there was no amount of reason I could interject into this conversation, that would lead this call to a normal, let alone professional conclusion. What a surreal experience. I don't think the old woman is a bad person, but my god she surely just doesn't have people skills, I don't know wether it's an age thing, a generational thing or what. But Grams has gotta simmer down a bit.

I came here for a consultation after having not seen a dentist for 5 years (gross I know) but I was scarred after having pulled out 8 teeth by my orthodontist and developing a fever after having 1/4 wisdom teeth removed by a separate OMFS. Then when I established general dental care with a very popular chain dental practice in NYC, I was told I had a cavity on the molar adjacent to my wisdom teeth that they would not treat unless I got the wisdom tooth removed for easier access. Needless to say I stopped following up with them and stopped going to a dentist altogether for the past half decade. It has been my experience that it's impossible to find any decent dental care on Fidelis leading to my horrible experiences in the past and I did not want to repeat that mistake. Luckily I stumbled upon this place. The office staff were efficient. Time from registration to x-rays to seeing the doctor was less than 30 minutes. Dr. Ho was friendly and nonjudgmental. Best of all he listened to my story, cleaned my teeth, reassured me that I did NOT have any cavities, and I did not have to remove my remaining wisdom teeth as they were not causing any pain or other complications.
