I was really impressed with how much time she spent with me. She was very thorough and even though I had come in for veneer maintenance, she did an inspection of my whole mouth. I want to be clear that my doctor, Dr. Clay, was great and I have no complaints about his care. Unfortunately, the front desk/reception service has been one of the worst parts of coming here. After my implant surgery with another doctor, I was told by my doctor that picking up my essix retainer would be a simple pickup. Instead, the receptionist insisted I book an appointment. I ended up waiting 45 minutes in pain just to get something that should have been ready, and I was told that she just "couldn't find it". Consent paperwork was not handled properly. I wasn't given a consent form until AFTER we went ahead with treatment and payment was made. As I asked why was I given the form now, I was told to "just sign it". My latest appointment was rescheduled without my consent, and when I asked about it, I was told I must have booked the wrong time, even though I have a screenshots showing I was correct. On top of these mistakes, the reception staff were consistently rude, dismissive, and unhelpful. It's really disappointing because the doctor's work was great, but I have to say the overall experience with this office, because of the front desk, is extremely unpleasant. read more

I had the exact same experience as Christine P., and I regret not listening to her review. I thought to myself, "maybe she just got unlucky." But nope. The whole appointment felt rushed. In the middle of my filling, Dr. Sneha Morgan actually paused and asked if she could quickly assist another patient--it would "only take five minutes." Instead, she left me sitting there with my mouth wide open and full of instruments for nearly 20 minutes. That's what i get for being too nice but i'm just a young college student trying to maintain the health of my teeth.. When she finally came back, she didn't even finish the filling properly. Filled out time consuming forms, redundant questionnaires and took photos of my insurance and I noted, " Do you take my coverage"? . Received texts and emails indicating confirmation of my visit and one indicating a cancelation fee of $50 if I cancel within less than 24 hours. Why did MDG call me 15 hours before my appointment indicating they don't except my coverage? Also, if i wanted to pay just for a cleaning it's $100 dollars? Honestly I read all these reviews online and questioned how any sort of a doctor had any this amazing reviews online since I feel like people only like to write about their bad experiences with receptionists etc when they write a review about a doctor's office. I had such a wonderful experience with Dr. Bruno at their UES location! What really differentiated this for me was: 1. Ease of booking and digital experience. I was able to look at available times on ZocDoc but since my fiancé was referring me I was able to simply text the receptionist to set up an appointment. This was not an "automated booking system" and I was able to text back and forth day of to confirm the building location/ appointment time/ and even when my mouth guard was available for pickup after the appointment. Great easy way to interact with a doctor for a millennial! 2. Amazing Dentist! Dr. Bruno has probably the best bedside manner of any doctor that I've ever visited. He is super nice and very easy to talk to. Explained to me what insurance did and did not cover in my appointment so there were no surprise fees at the end. I had a really bad experience once switching dentists (wound up getting a tooth ache after a cavity filling) so I never tried to switch dentists after my one bad experience. I'm glad I found Dr. Bruno in NYC- and my mom is equally as happy that I am no longer asking her to schedule my dentist appointments! read more

Dr Mishaan and Midtown are the perfect place to go for your dental needs, including regular check-ups. The hygienists are thorough and the doctor checks in with you before you leave. The entire experience is efficient and friendly. The doctor clearly is a seasoned expert judging from his reassuring presence. And he has great bedside manner. An A+ player. Midtown Dental is located in an ugly part of town and likely caters mostly to people who work in midtown Manhattan, of which there were many, until recently. I sure hope their practice makes a strong return in the months to come. Alas my new dental plan does not have Dr Mishaan listed, so my many years of going there have to come to an end. read more

I hate to do this but I have to.. I have to change my review just after a few days.. I arrived in a lot of pain and while I was seen very quickly, the job wasn't done correctly. I came in to get one of my last two remaining wisdom teeth removed and everything seemed fine beforehand. I was really excited with how nice everyone was. After the procedure, I felt okay for a few days even though my wound was NOT stitched up and I was NOT prescribed any medication. Without any warning from the dentist, I also realized after a few days that a SIGNIFICANT part of the tooth is still there and it's bothering me a lot more than before. I'm not sure what's going to happen next but someone needs to contact me ASAP. I don't want to take this any further than it should because I do understand that things happen. read more

I was in New York City last week and got a killing toothache around 8pm in the evening. I called many service providers, and only Dr Dani Mishaan emailed me back and gave me a spot to check early next morning at 63rd and Lex. I went early, and met with Dr. Clay Heilpern, DMD. He was funny and extremely nice and knowledgable. He prescribed medicines for me as i had no time to do a root, and called the pharmacy to ensure that they have medicine ready for me. I saw Dr. Bruno for inflamed gums. He identified the cause immediately, fixed the issue and it was painless. That was the first time in years I left the dentist without crying (yes, I'm a big baby). Both him and the dental assistant were very pleasant. I tried to make another appointment with Dr. Bruno but somehow the doctor was switched to Dr. Patel. I was so annoyed because I finally found a dentist I was comfortable with, but Dr. Patel was great! He was patient and didn't force procedures on me. Normally I don't leave negative comments but the front desk at Grand Central location left me no choice. I booked my first appointment with Dr.Shamis. I arrived early but had to wait for half an hour past my appointment time in the lobby. And I was brought to see a totally different doctor and no one seems to be aware of that as the staff did not explain it until I asked. I was told Dr.Shamis is no longer taking new patients -information which should have been communicated to me before my visit. This is the first time I noticed their unprofessionalism. Because the doctor I was re-arranged with, Dr.Bassily, is friendly and patient, I decided to stay with him and be understanding of the unprofessionalism of receptionists. However, today I went there for an Invisalign consulting and whitening. I asked specifically when I booked the appointment 2 weeks ago to make sure my appointment can accommodate both Invisalign consulting and whitening on the same day so I don't need to travel twice. I called in yesterday as well to double confirm the whitening price and the fact if I decide to do whitening, I will be able to do it after the consultation. I was 25 minutes late today and after I finished the consultation at 1 pm, Dr.Bassily told me there is no one in the office to do the whitening for me. I was annoyed about the handling of the receptionist as I specifically requested them to arrange whitening for me as well. I went to the front desk and asked the receptionists why the arrangement was not handled as promised. Both receptionists denied that I asked for the arrangement for whitening and claimed that I only asked for the price and did not ask to do whitening. The girl on the left even shouted to me rudely "You did not ask that!" The receptionists are either incapable of acknowledging their mistakes, or are simply too forgetful and do not take patients' requests seriously while being way too confident about their memory. The act of shouting at the customer as a receptionist is simply unbelievable. They then accused me of being late today and claimed that's why whitening cannot be arranged. Accusing me of being late for 25 minutes is not going to hide the fact that there is no one to do whitening for me even if I did arrive on time. I would have been understanding if they admit and apologize for their negligences but when they decide to cover their mistakes with lies, denies, rudeness, and blame-shifting, I no longer want to spend another minute at this place. I need to leave work and use work time to commute here. No one has the time and patience to deal with this unprofessionalism and bullshit. One of our conversations via text speaks the truth. Otherwise, the girl at the front desk might shout even louder at me and there is no way I can compete with that rudeness. read more

Sadly I never got the information I needed before I can make any appointment with my preferred dentist/s due to unpleasant manager response from W 37 st location and rude staff from UES location. I had high hopes for this dental group after extensive research and ongoing treatment from 2021. I finally decided to give this place a try after all the positive feedback online and was hoping it would work. Last year when I spoke to Dr. Bruno's location (phone # I can't recall, but the lady on the line was very respectful and willing to help.) which left a great impression on me and therefore I've decided to come back when my dental situation is ready. The front desk staff I spoke to took my insurance info, told me the time to anticipate a call back, and indeed called me back to explain the process and price estimate and the uncertainty to expect from insurance company which I fully comprehend. There are 2-3 dentists I would like to visit, but they practice in different locations, and each location has their own phone number. I tried at least 3 lines-- the 1st person, Rosy, office manager, refused to give me an estimate and insisted on me coming in for a consultation before they can give a quote. I will agree for a consultation as a new patient but it isn't best practice to ask a new patient to pay $180 just to get their foot in the door to find out if this is a place I can afford. The 2nd place I called is on UES office. I had high hopes for Dr. Bruno. The staff lady on the phone was cold and not courteous at all. She sounded like genuinely offended for almost all the questions I asked. I got absolutely NO information on what dentists I can visit for my implant crowns, if Dr. Bruno isn't seeing new patient whom else I can see, scheduling options, etc.. The 3rd place I called in Brooklyn, no one answers the phone. Some auto messaging reached out and still, there is no response. I am not sure how all the positive reviews build up, but to me, it's more than disappointing and a patient should not have to go through all these when they are in pain. read more

This was by far the best experience I have had as a patient. Dr. Jenny Armstrong went above and beyond. I HIGHLY recommend her. She actually encouraged me to get more opinions on the best treatment for me and did not try to sell me on her treatment. Ultimately, I didn't go with her recommended treatment because of the complexity of my case. BUT she exceeded all expectations by consulting me on other treatment plans after the fact. Dr. Mishaan and Dr. Bruno are absolute ARTISTS at what they do. I've been to the most expensive and well regarded dentists in both Greenwich CT and Westchester County, and none of them even begin to compare to the skill, care, or treatment you get here. I even only signed up on Yelp originally (years ago) because of having been ripped off by a dentist who was supposed to be "the best" who turned out to be simply just expensive. Unlike most places, you are not treated by a revolving staff of dentists who work for the namesake of the office, if you make an appointment with Dr. Mishaan or Dr. Bruno, they are the ones who see you, and they are the ones that treat you. NO PAIN. Of course that's a lot to promise at a dentists' office, but they have ways to avoid even the pain of the needle that numbs you. I spent a fortune at the "Painless" dentist in Westchester County which ended up to be an absolute joke when I now look back on it, but here I had a molar removed yesterday and I'm going to say from start to finish, NO PAIN. Again, these two dentists are exceptional at what they do, and truly care about you and their work. The staff and people who prep you are exceptional. They are not there just logging hours at a 9-5 job, they are polite, helpful, and friendly. When you go in there, you cannot tell who is working by the hour, and who is part owner of the business. Everyone there cares and in a genuine way. Prices. I have been to dentist offices in both the most expensive parts of Westchester County and in Connecticut, as well as the more quiet, inexpensive areas of upstate NY, and always pay out of pocket, in cash, with no credit cards, no insurance or other help, so I actually feel the bill each time. The price per specific procedure is about the same as anywhere in the less expensive areas of Upstate New York in my experience. NO UPSELLING. You can ask questions and get honest answers about what you do or don't need, or what you can do yourself, buy over the counter, or what is the most practical. You don't have to worry about getting pressured into unnecessary procedures or treatments so they can bill you more. This was the first time I have been at a high-end dentist office and wasn't given some brochure or pamphlet on my way in/out recommending some kind of additional treatment or device. They do offer both Invisalign and teeth whitening, but if you ask for it- In fact, I had a question about an issue and Dr. Mishaan took some time to explain what actually happens when I do this or that, and how I can solve the problem with something over the counter, which I am doing now. Maybe it's because I pay out of pocket each time (with money that's earned at a pretty low by-the-hour rate), but I really have gotten sensitive to being over charged, and I can really appreciate a fair price or a dentist who takes an interest in what he does. Because I'm working close to Albany right now, I travelled 3 hours (each way) to this office for my appointments (2 so far) and it was easily worth the trip. I discovered them because of their popularity on Yelp, and I can tell you it's not by accident they have a zillion 5 star reviews. Dr. Mishaan and Dr. Bruno are the best of the best- skilled dentists who take a genuine interest in what they do, and since you can clearly see from my review-leaving history that I'm a real reviewer, and only found the few good dentists I have by reviews on Yelp, I wanted to take a minute to give credit where it's due. i have a horror story.... Dr. Michael Bruno placed an implant in my mouth that has cause me so much pain and suffering, and over $7,000 dollars to have fixed. he placed an implant that was way to large for its location and he placed it at a wrong angle. i had to see numerous dentists and periodontists to try and save the implant. but after several opinions, i had to have oral surgery to have it removed. then i had to wait 4 months and now im starting the implant process over again. on top of that, once the implant was removed, i was told that he use a "knock off" brand implant. so in all likely good it would have failed anyways. i hope this review helps others before making a terrible mistake. Rescheduled and they cancelled my appointment claiming I had "no-showed" and canceled a bunch of times. When I informed them that this was untrue, the receptionist continued to interrogate me. There's no medical professional I like seeing the least than the dentist. In fact I avoided seeing a dentist for 3 years since I have a terrible fear of the dentist. After an insurance change I had to seek out a new dentist and I came across Dr. Mishaan's practice. Scheduling an appointment was a breeze, as Rosie is super nice and helpful in getting things squared away. On the day of my appointment, I was super nervous but the hygienist who cleaned my teeth took great care of me. She numbed me up for my cleaning and with the exception of one area of sensitivity (thanks to a deep cavity) it was painless. I then met with Dr. Mishaan who took his time to carefully examine my teeth and the x-rays and sadly I had 3 cavities of various sizes. Dr. Mishaan took a great conservative approach to my cavities and fillings and when I ended up requiring a root canal, his staff squeezed me in for a quick checkup and referred me quickly to an endodontist for my root canal and ensured my x-rays were sent over before I arrived to their office. I know going to the dentist is awful, however Dr. Mishaan has great bedside (or chairside in this case) manner, has a good sense of humor, and I no longer fear going to the dentist. read more
