I phoned on a Wednesday and told them what was going on with my car and told them that there was a service bulletin out and I thought the problems may have to do with it. They told me to bring it in the next day, but didn't tell me that there would be a charge to look at it. I took it in and my husband and I being on a fixed income didn't have the money to cover any charges. If I'd have known they were going to charge me, I'd have told them I had to wait until my disability came in. I was charged $175.00! I'll never go there again.I guess no groceries for us the rest of the month, no doctors appointments, no gasoline, etc. read more

Called for estimate for work related to a service bulletin; at the direction of my mechanic. "Have to bring in to be diagnosed, we don't do that over the phone". Dropped off car, service bulletin and told them what I wanted". Never received estimate for work I wanted. However, I was quoted $12K for the work they said I needed. NOPE!! Stated in all CAPS on service bulletin it wasn't necessary. Authorized replacement of 1 line they claimed was leaking and "running onto the part" I wanted repaired. (Found out after the fact that was 3 feet and an engine block of a lie ) $1200. Drove it for just about 1.5 hrs. Broke down an hour from home with older relatives. Called service dept. was told they couldn't send a tow truck or provide a car. "We don't do that". HOWEVER, at this point they DID VOLUNTARY diagnose my issue without looking at the car. ALL MY FAULT for turning down the transfer case replacement. Turns out, at 11PM that night, the tow truck driver, my ride and my mechanic pointed out the issue. Both, the one they created AND the one they stated didn't exist. Four times I asked about the issue I wanted quoted when I dropped it off; four times I was told it didn't exist. By the way, my "HEAVILY DAMAGED" transfer case is just fine. Turns out it isn't going to "go at any time". Disputed charge with credit card company. Harry Greens drafted a lovely letter explaining how it was ALL MY fault, even making up things I supposedly said about the problem. Stating how they had offered to help me with a tow truck???? So now it's off to small claims court to see if I can get my money back, money for the tow truck, repair of the repair, time taken off work to return borrowed vehicle, time invested in preparation and the dinner that was ruined because they did such a poor job. Just wait till they find out the actual issue. Either they have the worst mechanic's in the state or it was deliberate and they expected me to bring the car back. They would have been able to take another shot at the $12,000 repair. Everyone told me what they are like. But I took them the Nissan Service Bulletin! TOLD them EXACTLY where the issue was! I really didn't think they could mess up a simple line replacement! Whatever this was on thier part. ruined an 80th birthday dinner at a very lovely restaurant. Cost me as much to repair the issue they created. I spent the entire evening begging for rides, loaned vehicles and trying to organize a tow truck that would not make the 4 of us stand around for 5 hours. I was outside on the phone and texting. Not to mention the upset it caused the people with me. Too bad I can't leave negative star's. Beware going to this dealership. read more

Bought a "quality used vehicle" with warranty and the service department has had my vehicle more than I have drove it. There was issue's with the vehicle from the start. Making my second payment and they have still not fixed the issues. I'm being told they will not fix the issues. Poorest customer communication of any company I have ever dealt with. Owners will not even call back or help customers. Only person who has been great is my salesperson Mac. He was amazing. Please use caution when buying from this dealer. Absolutely the worst service department we've ever encountered! Quoted $7000 for "necessary work", most of which we can do ourselves (and are planning to). Approved trickier work--$4000, $500 over quote, btw, AND they had our vehicle for 3 1/3 weeks! It gets better! Took it in with zero exhaust issues--guess what? They did not reattach the exhaust correctly, and the exhaust going in to the muffler isn't secured in any way! It was NOT given to them in that condition, and their own pre-service video will prove it! DO NOT use these people for any kind of service! They also do not answer phone calls--they "prefer text", which they also don't answer! Absolutely disgusted, and we will be reviewing on every available platform to save others the frustration, and money! read more

Once again terrible sales experience at Harry Greens. Test drove used 2012 Honda Ridgeline. Waited to hear back from Salesman. Called then he tells me it's on hold from online sales.. Would get back to me, never did. So I went out of state (once again) bought a nicer 2010 with 30,000 less miles and less money. Also before all of this I was looking at 2019 Chevy Bolt on the lot.. They wouldn't work with me and my trade. Went out of state to VA traded my car on a 2020 Chevy Bolt no problems! Harry Green has lost 4 Sales to me now. I'll never recommend buying any vehicle from them! For that matter any Stealership in WV. My 2012 Corvette needed service, called Harry Green, they informed that they had a new vette on the lift and can't take it off. This is the worse place to take your vette for service. Place do not buy a car from this dealership. Service is awful, took my car to Anthony Chevrolet in Fairmont they did a great job, would recommend them. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. We were traveling and had engine problems. We drove in there and they quickly diagnosed the problem and had our vehicle up on the lift within a few hours. This was not a small job but they got it done as soon as possible and all the employees that we had contact with went above and beyond in helping us out so that it was a very small inconvenience to us. They have top notch employees who are courteous and friendly. read more

The sales department is fine as was the finance, but their garage is one of the most inept I've ever come across. We took our daughter car here had a small Oil leak they took about a month to tell us everything. No big deal but it needed a vowel cover okay no problem Would have been 4 hundred buck, Then it needed a new head 4K so they toss it in the back told us to come get it, bc he was not spending anymore hour on it, we showed up to drive it home and found they refused to put our car back together, left it as is, we had to call a tow truck found out the whole time we was there they never told us they charge us for The diagnostic they ran in the car and never finished since they did not put the car back together $104 had pay that bill to get the car towed home find out we are missing part absolutely unbelievable highly doubt they will make this right I only put a star to post this read more

I bought a new chevy colorado in September. It broke down while driving to work. I called chevy roadside assistance, and they sent me too Harry Greens. From the moment the tow truck driver told me where he was taking it, I knew this was going to be big problems. I went with the tow truck drive to drop it off and talked with thw service assistant. He told me that they needed to diagnose the problem before I can get a loaner, which at the time was fine. I asked how long it would take, and he told me a few hours. I dropped the vechile off at 830 am, at 330 i hadnt heard anything, so i stopped by on the way to pic up my wife. My truck was still setting in the spot the tow truck driver left it. I go it the service department to see what going on, and Rob Gallo rudely tells me that they will get to it when ever they can get too it, then refuses to talk to me. I couldnt get any of the other service people to talk to me either. The whole staff was very unhelpful. The next day I call a few times, and noone will talk to me, so I have someone drop me off at lunch, and asked to see the manager. The service manager is on vacation so I talk to the general manager, Frank Smith. Frank then proceeds to tell me that my truck isnt a priority for them since I didnt buy it at Harry Greens and that if I wanted service from them then i should buy it here next time. He then told me that if I wanted my truck fixed, then i should contact Midstate Chevrolet where I bought my truck. Aftet a few choice words I left. I called Midstate on the way back to work, and they sent a tow truck to Harry Greens picked it and brought me a loaner vechile that day. What happened in this situation was absurd. On all the ads for Chevy you here about how good Chevy Service is. It shouldnt matter what dealership you buy your vechile from, you should get the same service every at every dealership. Frank Smith was right about one thing, I should have just went to Midstate. When I was looking for me truck I called Harry Green to see if they would get it for me. They didnt have what I wanted on the lot, and wouldnt go get what I wanted from another dealership. I called Midstate, and they not only found me exactly what I was looking for, but they drove 5 hours one way, worked out the whole deal over the phone, and had it too me the next day at a cheaper price. Like I told the general manager at Harry Green, its a difference in attitude from the top,down. Midstate wants to help me, Harry Green wants to be assholes! Im not sure how Frank Smith thinks that treating customers like shit wpuld make them want to buy a vechile from them. Update Midstate went to Harry Greens, got it to their service department, and an hour later had the problem identified. And they gave me a brand new colorado to drive while they work on it. read more

On top everything, they lied to me. They said car has accident free history. It was in accident and many parts were replaced. And when i request refund, they refuse to give me refund. After settling on a price they made we wait a long time before doing the paper work even though very few customers were around due to it being their last day before the holidays and they were having an office party that day. Told the loan guy we didn't want any warranties or anything and after he asked why and I explained he said no problem. He then chatted us up and asked where we were from and claimed to be from the same town (he probably tells everyone that). Signed the paperwork only to find out he screwed us over and added some nonsense warranties. I'll never buy a car there again and I have a lot of family in the area and none of them have bought from Harry green since. It's been over a decade and I'll never forget that experience. Dropped my car to get fixed on a Sunday night. They ordered the wrong door for my car and it has been 2 weeks without my car when it was only suppose to be a 4 day project. The salesmen have always been friendly and personable, but they leave me to browse and compare on my own like I prefer. Never I repeat Never go to Harry Green to get a key cut. I had my own blank and all they had to do is cut it and they wanted to charge me $20.00 just to cut it. They said they paid big money for the cutter and had to charge that , But wal mart only charges $2.49 and supplies the blank for a regular key. Poor service. VERY DISSATISFIED CUSTOMER!!!!! We took our vehicle in back in May for a state inspection and passed. We asked them to check the brake on the back passenger side because of a grinding noise. They came back and told us that there was a pebble in the brake pad and that was causing the grinding noise. So we thought the issue was taken care of. Well the same month we set the vehicle up for an appointment for July 7 2015 to have a recall taken care of and went in to have that taken care. The one gentleman we dealt with was rude towards me. Well come to find out that they had not ordered the part for the recall and told us that the brakes were not sufficient enough and was ready to go out. I had a concern about the brakes on my 3500HD pickup after towing a new fifth wheel to nearby Stonewall State Park. The service department checked out my truck on a Saturday morning and found everything was ok for my 375 mile return trip. In addition to fitting me in the next day when I called on Friday afternoon they told me no charge after the tech test drove and examined my truck on a lift. In January 2017, I purchased a 2013 Certified Nissan Altima from Harry Green Nissan in West Virginia and in June 2017 I was informed by another Nissan dealership that the transmission needed to be replaced. I have not driven my CERTIFIED Altima for 6 months. A week after I purchased the vehicle, I contacted the used sales car manager and informed him that the vehicle had a weird jerk and it felt like it was hesitating. The manager asked me to bring the vehicle back so it could be checked. After driving 4 hours back to the dealership, I was told there no issue. I insisted that they check again because I was sure that I should not feel any jerking or hesitating while driving. They technician checked again and then told me that transmission needed a "NE Code". The technician also stated that "this is how Nissan CVT transmissions run, they have a jerking motion because of the continuous motion." The warranty expired a few miles ago. I have called and left several messages for the used car sales manager with no return call. Now, I have to spend $5,000 to repair my CERTIFIED Altima and pay a car note. This is the worst experience I have ever had with purchasing a used vehicle. LIES, LIES and more LIES. There is no customer service at all. I am livid with the entire situation and feel very mislead on every aspect. I purchased a CERTIFIED vehicle to avoid major repairs. I was told that the transmission was fine after I was concerned with the driving performance and now they are ignoring me. I WOULD ADVISE EVERYONE TO AND STAY CLEAR OF THIS DEALERSHIP. read more

Terrible service for Corvette owners, DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU HAVE A CORVETTE. This dealership cannot even change a runflat tire on the cars that they sell, which is strike one for us, all we could say was "are you serious?". We went to them for a warranty part (simple engine cover with paint chipping), we can't get the car down there for a few months (Our previous experience being their service is so slow, it takes a special day to even want to tolerate it). Without telling us, they MAILED THE PART BACK, and basically said "too bad, we have to check on the color, come down again and start the process over again." How about order the SAME cover that you ordered the first time? What a joke, this is an excuse we won't be taking lightly. We won't be back with our new Corvette and we won't be back to ever purchase anything here ever again. Strike 3 won't be happening for this place. I was traveling with my wife, 3 kids and our dog coming back from Ohio on way to Durham NC when we had trouble with our 2004 Nissan Quest. For some reason it would not accelerate past 60 mph or 2000 rpms, after reading forums it seemed to be heat related. We looked on the internet to find Green Nissan/Chevy in Clarksburg right off 79, but it was Sunday and everything was closed. So not feeling to secure in going through WV mountains not being able to go very fast we stayed over night. I woke up at 7am to be at the service desk right after opening, when I spoke to Service Mgr all I got was a "sorry I have too many cars, I might could get you in 4 days". Well I am so glad that Greeen Nissan is that busy but what crappy service that is to send a traveler off with that lame reasoning. I don't know this place nor what is normal, but that my friends is place I would not buy from or go to for help, because when you are need they don't need you. I bought my 2010 Chevy Equinox in February 2013 and have had to bring it back for several service bulletins and recalls from GM. I didn't even have my car for 24 hours before it broke down. I was told it would be fixed next day, well that didn't happen. I had to ASK for a loaner/rental vehicle and I just felt like I was just "another customer". Since then I have had it back to Harry Green 2 more times and when you call the service dept you either..1)Have to wait an unacceptable long time for someone to assist you or 2)Have to wait for over a month to get an appointment. I have had to call General Motors and waste my lunch breaks or my day talking to them with my complaints just to get anything done. I feel that if I bought my car there I should be a priority but it's just the opposite. Now my car is acting up with the same problems as before and I have one month before my warranty expires and the appointment I was given is one day before it expires. I even explained this to the service dept and was told there was nothing they can do they are booked up. I have a justified reason as to why I feel the way I do. My warranty is going to expire and my car is not going to be fixed and no one cares!!!! read more

I've tried to buy a car from Harry Green twice and walked out both times. This time they only offered factory rebates on a last years model Altima and when I tried to finance it they took away a $500 rebate without explanation. I walked away from the deal and went to John Howard in Morgantown. They sold me the exact same care discounted $2000 (BEFORE the rebates) and gave me more for my trade in. They also said the $500 dollar rebate Harry Green tried to take away from me was a factory incentive because my car didn't have a power drivers seat. The rebate had NOTHING to do with whether or not I financed at 0%. I feel Harry Green was very dishonest about the transaction. When I told them I was unhappy they didn't care one bit. They said, "Oh well, some people don't like it. We can't do anything about it." I told them, "I can." and I went somewhere else. I won't waste my time there again. read more
