Came as part of 14,000 mile 48 state foodie road trip. I enjoyed the burger slider menu options and the meat blend of ingredients on each. Ordered a few different item. Favorite for sure the MOAB Slider Burgers (classic cheese, hickory smoked bacon, portobello mushroom, and fried onion strings). Everything blended well. The Pastrami Slider Burgers (beef, cheese, black pastrami, pickles, and Russian dressing) were good but the pastrami felt like standard deli slices that dried up a bit when cooked as a topping. The wings were nicely cooked with standard bar wing flavor. Servers was very nice as well.

We have been living in the Providence Area for a very long time and somehow we didn't know about this spot! Finally, we found a delicious, reasonably priced craveworthy meal in Providence. We were definitely gluttonous for this dinner time meal. We got Harry's Animal Fries, Tater Tots with cheese, bacon and onions, 3 Moab burgers, as well as 3 Crunch Burgers along with a chocolate milkshake. Incredibly this was for two people. Everything was absolutely delicious and craveworthy. The burgers were the smashed burger variety that is relatively thin, but surprisingly very juicy. We were a little excessive with the amount of food, regardless there were no regrets. The staff were all very nice and the ambiance is great for a date night or hanging out with your friends for some brew. The waiter that took care of us was super helpful. I was very indecisive and he took the time to elaborate about the menu. There will definitely be a round 2!! -ODL Connect with me! IG & YouTube: @AOEAT

Food: I was craving some good burgers and have been to some places lately that just fell flat for me. Why haven't I heard of or been to Harry's all these years!? I started to question my foodie license lol but omg, I love this spot! It was our first time there and I ordered the crunch burger and it hit the spot! The texture, the flavors the softness of the buns, everything was just right! I got a side of bbq sauce and Harry's animal fries and a chocolate milk shake. My husband got the MOB burger and tater tots. Everything was soooo good! Service: The staff was nice and our waiter was great! Ambiance: It has a cute dive bar feel to it. Once you go inside, you will see the main bar and some seating in the back. But there's even more space! We sat upstairs where there were more tables and a tv. We will definitely be there more often!

Came as a part of the RI Food Fights burger competition, so my coupon gave me two of the Harry's Classic Cheese sliders. They were enjoyable, though mostly just standard sliders. The bun was soft, and the burgers were crisp. I also had a side of shoestring fries, which were a good addition. The bartender recommended that I add the crispy onions to my burgers, and I ended up with a few in my fries, which definitely did improve the burgers, so I'd do that if I returned. Super crowded at lunchtime on a weekday, but the bartender was still attentive and my food was delivered quickly.

Delicious food with a cozy vibe! I love their sliders- the bacon is so smoky and flavorful on the burger. I recently tried the fried fish sliders as well as the chicken sliders- both delicious. I feel the bacon on the cheeseburger stole the show for me! I love the fries (sweet potato and salt and pepper), but I reallllllly love the fried onion straws! Great $5 beer specials, fantastic happy hour for 1/2 priced sliders daily from 3-5, and surprisingly delicious martinis! I love everything about this place from the ambiance to the food- always great service- never had a bad time in here!

We stopped here tonight after WaterFire to grab a bite and the place was packed! They had about a 30-40 minute wait time so we made an order to go. I got the 3X MOAB with animal fries and it was by far the best meal I have had in the city. The fries were absolutely perfect! Crispy and perfectly seasoned with cheese, sauce, fried onions and scallops on top. They weren't greasy at all! They were light and delicious. Maybe some of the best fries I have ever had. I loved the sliders too. I pulled the mushroom out and ate it separately because the flavor on the burger was just better (to me) without them, but I love mushrooms and they were good on their own. I highly recommend this place and I plan to stop by here again soon.

Killer late night snack place. Throw back: stout beer ice cream floats (order off the menu). These are special for the old school Harry's but the manager was awesome enough to let us relive the glory days. Long live Moodana!

My friends and I went to water fire, with the plan of going to eat something after walking around. After doing some research, we realized Harry's was around the corner but had to sprint since they would be closing in 30 minutes. Luckily, they did still allow us to order food, which we are grateful for and our waitress was very kind. We ordered 2 hot dogs, 1 order of sliders, and 2 fries. We had the MOAB sliders, but without mushrooms. As always, they were really good, with the onion strings stealing the show. The patties are thin but incredibly moist. One of the fries was regular but we ordered a side of truffle aioli which was really good. The second fries we ordered animal style. There was a lot going on, so l see why they're called that. But very delicious as well despite the chaos. The hot dogs were perfectly cooked and despite being simple, transported me to feeling like I was at a summer cookout. We ended up paying around $27 for the three of us which is not bad at all. The inside is small, but there seems to be an upstairs too. We really liked were we were sat; it was a high table with cushioned seating all around 2 sides. They also have a really good deal from 3-5 pm daily where it's half off sliders with the purchase of a drink. We will be returning soon.

Fries: Sweet Potato Fries and Salt & Pepper Fries

Review for delivery/uber eats order: First time ordering from them and wasn't that great. The burgers are small, basically 2 sliders. The patty's don't have much taste, thankfully the bacon and sauce helped (5 out of 10). Disappointed since they are known for burgers so we expected more. The fries were ok (Both the salt/pepper fries and sweet potato) probably better fresh/in-person than delivery cause they were already cold and not crispy. (6/10) The tai wings were good, the sauce tasty (8.5/10). I paid $53 was for meal (2 bacon cheese burger orders, 1 reg fries, 1 sweet potato fries, 1 order wings, extra ranch sauces); still a lot for the size of the items. Total was $70 with all the uber fees! I don't think i will order delivered food from them again but maybe go in person to give them a second chance.

What a quaint place! I didn't remember it from when we lived in RI, but I feel like I'd have been there all the time! Wide variety of beer as well as fun non- alcoholic options (locally made root beer etc). Multiple varieties of sliders- enough for everyone to pick their faves. Their fried pickles are also soooo tasty! I'd be a regular for sure if I lived in RI!

I've been wanting to come here for so long and didn't disappoint! The sliders were excellent, fresh, perfect size and love how you can add a 3rd if you so chose. My fave was the onion strings were so so good! Not too oily, crispy and a little sweetness from the onion they were perfect. The mojito was good, the server was kind as well. The inside was decorated for the upcoming holidays as well too, clean and tidy. I would def come here with friends to watch a game or a late night snack

First time to Harry's and it was Great! Atmosphere is cool with great music piped in through the place. Upstairs seating for food. Waiter was excellent and very attentive. Boozy Fruity Pebbles milkshake was great for daughter. Son-in-law got the Whalers draft! Wife got the OG Sucker Punch delicious! I got the Guinness in a can. (You have to ask for a glass). Daughter got the MOAB burger no buns (she's GF) and son-in-law got the Pastrami sliders and the split a 50/50 onion straw and sweet potatoes! Yum! Wife got the MOAB burgers and they were delicious I got the Fungus Among us burgers ... oh boy tasty! We split a 50/50 salt and pepper fry & onion straw. Everything was Hot and Fresh and delicious! Thank you!!! We shall be back! Just remember these are sliders but if you get the third you shall be full after the fries and onion straws!

Harry's isn't just for burgers! (Though, the burgers are delicious.) The north main location is relatively small, but it includes a cozy bar and some outdoor seating. It's nearby the RISD campus, courthouse, and and bus tunnel. The burgers are the main attraction, and they come in pairs of two or three sliders. They're served on warm Hawaiian rolls, which add a delightful sweetness to the savory, rich meat and sauces. Two is generally enough for me, but if you're really hungry you can add a third slider. The mushroom burger in particular is quite nice. But, that's not all. I recently tired the Nashville hot chicken sandwich sliders, and they were excellent. The chicken was juicy inside and crispy on the outside. The shredded lettuce was crunchy, as were the pickle chips. The zesty sauce rounded out the whole thing. I absolutely recommend trying these on your next visit to Harry's. As for sides, the string fries and onion strings are a fitting pairing for burgers or chicken. I love how thin and crunchy the onions are! The beer list is surprisingly comprehensive, and the staff is very friendly and attentive. I recommend checking out the next time you're in the area.

I've eaten my way through quite a few things here over the years, and while there are plenty of good choices, I keep coming back to the Smokey and the Bandit smash burger. At this point, I probably know what I'm ordering before I even sit down. There's just something about that combination that keeps winning. The food here is consistently good. Everything I've had has been fresh, hot, and full of flavor, and the kitchen seems to have that part figured out without making a big production of it. The menu has enough variety that you can come in with different appetites and still find something you want, but it doesn't feel like one of those places with a menu the size of a small novel where you need twenty minutes just to decide what you're looking at. The beer selection is another reason I enjoy Chomp. There's enough variety to make choosing a beer part of the experience rather than simply grabbing whatever happens to be on tap. Prices are also pretty reasonable for the quality and portion sizes, which is increasingly something I notice because restaurant prices have a funny way of creeping upward when you're not paying attention. The location is another part of the appeal. Chomp sits in a great little part of Providence where you can easily make an evening out of being in the neighborhood. There are plenty of other restaurants, shops, and places to wander around nearby, so it doesn't feel like you're making a special trip just to eat and then immediately getting back in the car. Tonight, though, I have to give a special shout-out to Bella, who was our server. She was outstanding. Friendly, personable, attentive without hovering, and genuinely helpful. She suggested adding bacon to my Smokey and the Bandit, which I probably wouldn't have thought to do on my own. I'm very glad she mentioned it because it was an excellent call. Sometimes the best recommendations are the simple ones, and she nailed it. One piece of advice if you're planning on coming here: make a reservation if you can. Chomp can fill up quickly, and given how good the food is, that really shouldn't come as much of a surprise. It's the kind of restaurant where people come back because they already know they're going to have a good meal, and I'm certainly part of that group. Five stars from me. Great food, good beer, reasonable prices, a fantastic Providence location, and genuinely good service. I've tried enough of the menu over the years to know that Chomp has plenty of options, but apparently I'm still incapable of walking through the door without ordering that Smokey and the Bandit. Add Bella's bacon recommendation to the list of reasons I'm going to keep coming back.

That aside, we ordered several varieties of wings, a couple different burgers and sandwiches, and a salad. The wings were OK, but about as dry as could be, almost inedible. The burgers were just eh. Both the Smash Burger and House Burger were decently cooked but greasy with little flavor. The Smokey Melt was a little more flavorful but really heavy and greasy. The worst item by far was the Caesar Salad. Honestly it looked like someone sliced up lettuce like you would for a sub sandwich, or used a 1990s Salad Shooter, and threw it in a styrofoam dish. It didn't even resemble a salad I'd avoid this place.

This was robust, crunchy, and flavorful - a far cry from the barely-covered-in-panko stuff I have gotten at other places. First of all, the restaurant itself is small but very cute, cozy, and full of lovely New England-y Sea-Themed decor. We were promptly seated and had our order taken for our drinks & food - I had heard good things about this place, so I got a decent amount of food items, including: Lobster Roll - Arguably the best lobster roll I've ever had so far in my life. The brioche bun for it was soooo fluffy, soft, and a perfect complement to the big, juicy chunks of lobster that were seasoned and buttered JUST right. Also came with hefty and well-seasoned fries. It was deliciously creamy and soothing to slurp on and the chunks within were all so tender and a great contrast. Clam Cakes - Added them to the Clam Chowder order for an extra $8. Big, hefty, doughy balls that were perfectly fried outside and ooey gooey within. Fish & Chips - Big, hefty fish that was juicy & delicious with a great crunch on the outside! Similarly came with the 'chips', or the hefty, well-seasoned fries that the lobster roll also came with. Oh yeah, pardon me, forgetting to mention the drinks! We ordered the Briny Martini and the Harbor House Punch! The Martini was great for a stronger drink and the Punch was a nice cocktail for anyone preferring something sweeter and fruitier. When it came to the food, service, and dining experience...it couldn't have been better! Everything was incredibly delicious and definitely worth ordering. This memorable experience then reached exceptional circumstances, however, as while we were in the middle of dining here and enjoying our delicious food, there was a shooting occurring just up the street at Brown University. I wish to commend the staff at Dune Brothers, who looked out for mine and their other patrons' safety and sheltering us in their restaurant as we all nervously waited for more information on what exactly was going on that evening. Exceptional circumstances aside, this restaurant is also exceptional when it comes to the quality of their food and service. I highly recommend coming here if you're in Providence!

The portions all around appeared huge. The flavor combinations were great and recommend you try. A side of fries is plenty for two to split as well. Next time I am in town I will be back to try the lobster roll! Service was great as well!

5 of my friends and I went to the Congress Tavern before a PPAC show on a Saturday night. Great…read morelocation for that. The burger I got was excellent, they were able to accommodate my food allergies, and the service was lovely. Unfortunately, it was louder than any bar I've been to in a decade. I don't know if it's normally like this on a Saturday night, or whether it was the individual parties that were happening there, but we literally had people jumping up and down behind us with more than one large group that was whooping and cheering intermittently, such that we had to absolutely scream to be heard by the folks at our table. I left hoarse. It was more like a club than a tavern the night we visited. Heads up--the ladies room is a single room, with no separate mirror/make up space. There were a lot of women who wanted to touch up or actually use the facilities the night we visited. Prepare for a line. We ultimately left and had a better social experience at the bar right across the street. I would definitely return to The Congress Tavern for lunch... but I wouldn't go back on a Saturday night.
