Two of us went for breakfast - it has been years since I've been there but we had an errand close by so thought we'd stop. My son had a pastrami omelet and I had banana pancakes. He thought his was under seasoned. I liked that the bananas were cooked into the pancakes rather than sliced and put on top. Their flavored coffee was waffle cone which I thought was good but have come to determine that I'm just not a flavored coffee gal. Our server was amazing. It was obvious that she has been there a while - she was an absolute natural but I didn't catch her name. I think the place is named appropriately as it's small! The booths were "cozy" for sure and it felt like 85 degrees inside. Actually that's the outside temp and when we walked outside it actually felt cooler lol! It was $43 for two of us. I tried their most popular option, the Fig, Prosciutto, and Goat Cheese. It sounds like a bizarre combination for Eggs Benny, but let me tell you, it really works! I was very happy with my choice. The home fries were also quite good. My friend had eggs and corned beef hash. She is a huge fan of corned beef hash and was really impressed by how it was served (more elegantly than is typical). We waited about 15 minutes on a Saturday for a group of six plus a newborn, and the space was roomy enough for all of us. The first time I came here was early this year for my friend's birthday brunch. She had mentioned good things about it, and just based on the line of parties waiting to be seated, I started to believe she was onto something. I had the steak tips and the service was good, but it didn't leave much of a lasting impression. I added it to my list of places to go, and finally got around to it. After going and trying that exact benedict, it's been on my mind constantly and I cannot wait to go back for more. When we arrived, there was a line (per usual), but they took down our name and number, and texted us when they were ready which gave us some time to explore the area on a walk. As the hostess walked us to our seats, I realized that the inside is so much bigger than the outside leads it on to be. The noise level was moderate despite it being so packed. Our waitress was kind and attentive throughout our entire time there. I obviously went in knowing what I wanted which helped us get our food a lot quicker. The first bite of the benedict was exactly what I imagined it to be - savory, sweet, salty, and creamy. I would have probably never picked this dish without having watched that video because the texture of prosciutto turns me off a bit, but when it's crispy, it's a game changer. The fig jam provides that sweet contrast but its not overpowering. The eggs were cooked perfectly, and the hollandaise sauce was good. I wasn't a huge fan of the homefries but it didn't bother me. My friend ordered a basic breakfast with eggs, bacon, home fries and toast and it was also good, with a generous amount of bacon. The lot is tight, but it was a weekday, so we were able to find a spot without a problem. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. The dining room attendant offered us their speciality coffee for the day which was the blueberry cobbler and it was absolutley delicious. Mark, another attendant who was Super Amazing came over and took our order. I had the pastrami omelet, sourdough toast with potatoes and my girlfriend had scrambled eggs sourdough toast with the potatoes and I must say that the food was worth every dime we spent. My girlfriend enjoy her food so much that she went back the next day with some other friends and tried the corned beef hash omelet and said it was one of the best tasting omelets that she's ever had. I for one love a place that you can see reinvest back in it's business - and everytime I go to Cozy, something is new - in a good way! Between the decorations, the seating, the parking lot, the chairs outside, the shade - etc. I know who Auntie Mary is now - never got her name before, but always enjoyed seeing her face and her energy, The wait on Labor Day was maybe 25 minutes. We took our buzzer and went to the Cozy gift shop right next door. Did some shopping, got a bracelet I'm obsessed with... and went back just as we were buzzed. I got the Portuguese Benedict's. They were excellent - though I wish the meat was a little spicier. With the sweet French toast it sort of overpowered the chorizo. My sister got the Irish and we ended up splitting - except my half of that was taken to go and gobbled up later that evening as leftovers. I stop by on my way to the airport and had breakfast there for the second time. I got lucky and found the place as I flew in to Providence and was lucky enough to find it again heading back to the airport. I can't find a better place to eat close distance to the airport than this restaurant. On a weekend it's crowded, but there is no way that you sit at the counter, which is what I did.
