A solid family friendly spot on the EG border. Their sour cream and onion dip is pretty tasty and a great way to kick off the meal. My son who does have a discerning palate when it comes to chicken tenders and fries really enjoys them here. The salad was solid and definitely overflowing. We usually get there pretty early and are able to get in without an issue. Service is friendly and the food comes out pretty quickly.

I've ordered the chicken tenders to-go and in house 4x now in the last month. I took an order on the phone with the host so I could specify all sauces on the side and she was helpful! I asked for extra celery/carrots and I was grossed to open my container and find brown mushy rotting celery and carrots when I arrived home.

Went for an early dinner on a Friday and it was busy but we were seated quickly. Server was friendly! I ordered the fish tacos and they were very good! Everyone else at the table either got the chicken avocado club or Korean crispy chicken and they all liked their dishes. There was a slight mix up with two of the dishes that the server helped to sort out quickly. Overall good! Usually have a good experience when I come to this location.

Great and delicious brunch menu! The Best Rewards Program; excellent wait staff. Always good food, no matter what time of day or what I choose from the menu. Great vibe!

We stopped here to get a quick snack appetizer and decided on the chicken wings with the sauce on the side. The wings were meaty and the sauce tangy. They have their water service, where they place a personalized water bottle on the table for us to help ourselves...I like that....no need to flag a server for a drink of water. The staff is always nice here. A great place for some comfort food.

Nice place, super busy and some decent food. Staff was ok. Just picked up a to-go order for the kiddos I was babysitting, and they seemed to like the food. Would certainly be willing to come back sometime based on this experience.

This location gets very busy and we were lucky to get a bar spot. The bar is very big and the seats are very close to each other. The staff at the bar were all friendly and attentive. There were four different bartenders on this particular Monday night and they all rotate to all the guests so you don't have just one bartender. Seems like it is a well managed establishment. The bang bang broccoli was delicious. A big portion of fried broccoli with an Asian twist, it came out hot and spicy! The bartender recommended trying it with a dressing so we tried the ranch, which was I also ordered the Bayou Chicken Pasta. This was also a delicious dish. Perfect blend of spicy, butter, bacon bits, and cheese. The dish said it had jalapeno in it, but the pepper tasted like poblano, which was probably better than the jalapeno. The kitchen split the dish for us and we only ate half because it was so filling. Overall, we had a great experience. I would give a 5 if the prices were better.

Tavern on the square is a good place to grab some food and drinks. The restaurant is nice inside with good lighting and plenty of space. I have been here three time now and have enjoyed the food. I had the steak crispy sandwich. Nothing overly impressive but good. The staff are nice and helpful.

Tavern in the Square has become my favorite dinner spot in Rhode Island for gluten free food! They have so many gluten free options which I absolutely love. The vibes are great with lots of seating inside, near the bar and outside in the covered patio area. I typically haven't had to wait when I go but it can get busy. On my last visit, I ordered the Fried Pickle Chips (which are gluten free) and the BBQ Chicken Pizza (subbed with a gluten free cauliflower crust). Both were amazing and were the perfect meal. My family liked their dinner as well.

(Reportedly a) Nashville Hot Fried Chicken**
    Megan W.

First off - great service! Even on a Friday at 6:30, our server was quick and attentive. We love the look of the inside and how it can convert to indoor/outdoor dining. Tons of beers on tap (a little pricey for a place off Main Street EG) but lots to choose from. Neat cocktail and spiked seltzer menu. We have been a few times and this time we got bbq chicken pizza - soft doughy crust. Definitely large enough for one persons full meal or even possibly two people who are ordering a salad to split as well. Great homemade ranch. What dinged a star is the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich. This was a huge sandwich, nice piece of chicken, nice bun...but this is like an Asian Zing Chicken sandwich. Not Nashville flavors at all. Sweet spicy Asian flavors. We had luckily ordered these without the cheese that was supposed to come...I absolutely cannot imagine pepper Jack cheese on an Asian chicken sandwich.

Last time I was in, I got the Asian chicken skewers that are served over cold noodles (absolutely delicious), and a half flatbread half panini plate. Pizza (mushroom and onion) was good. Panini was just ok, a little dry. This is the kind of spot I enjoy coming to for the ambiance and cocktails. Not necessarily my favorite for a sit down meal, but that isn't the point. Beautiful decor and a sexy atmosphere.

The restaurant wasn't too busy, but there was a steady crowd. People were either dining in or picking up to-go orders. They offer indoor and outdoor seating, so there are plenty of areas to dine. The bartender was friendly and helpful. I decided to go with the seared salmon, Brussels sprouts, and corn risotto. Thankfully, it wasn't much of a wait because I was hungry. My food came out fresh and hot. Everything was really delicious. My only complaint was there were a few flies swarming around me, which made my dining experience less enjoyable. I spent most of my time trying to swat them away. The bartender even moved me to another spot, but they still followed me. While I really enjoyed my food and the service, it might be a good idea for them to invest in small table fans to keep the flies away. Otherwise, my food was tasty, and the service was great!

Upon entrance is a doorman who is so friendly and accommodating! He found us an open table and checked on us throughout the night. The place was packed and they only had maybe 5 or 6 employees so the service was a little slow but understandable. I think the longest wait was about 20 minutes when we were waiting to get our initial drink order taken, but everything after that was fairly quick. For drinks I got a thin mint martini because they were out of the chocolate reuge martini I wanted. It was so yummy and came with 3 thin mint cookies. My mom got a pistachio martini and the Jefferson Tea. Both were pretty good but I wouldn't order again. My dad got Dead Mans Redemption which is good if you like bourbon. It comes with a wood topper and they light it on fire, let smoke fill in the drink, and then take the wood off. The drink then has notes of smoked wood in it which is cool. For food we got the crispy spring rolls and pepperoni flatbread. Both were so good!!!! It was absolutely worth the wait!!! I could eat the whole flatbread myself it was that good and I can't wait to go back and get another one. The crowd is definitely much older, not a lot of younger people around.
