There are limited HMUA in the Austin/ San Antonio area who are well versed in east asian makeup and hair and I'm so glad I ended up booking and trusting PPA for our big day. Pink Palette is based in Houston but showed up on time and kept our schedule throughout the getting ready process. They also gave expert recommendations based on my personal hair and look of the day and really helped tie my entire outfit together and made me feel like such a princess! My mother trimmed my hair when I was a girl and there were only a handful of trips to a Fantastic Sams or other budget-friendly "salons" which always traumatized me with horrible haircuts. I went to Tony & Guy to have my hair done for prom back in the day and was NOT impressed with the work or the attitudes. So since then, I've generally avoided doing anything other than buying a box of color on sale at CVS to spruce up my natural boring mousy brown hair and trimming it every so often myself.
