I will start by saying I never write reviews because I don't normally base my decisions off other peoples opinions. However when I seen the 1Star review left, I thought I would leave the other side to that story. Seeing as how I was the client directly behind her. Being someone who has worked in the beauty industry for 16 years and 7 of those years being behind the chair with a specialty of wedding hair. I can agree with Katie when she says some hairstyles just don't work for some hair types with out additional hair pieces. When it comes to your wedding day if you are a bride who has a vision that you feel must be just so. Book a trial. Book more than one! Make sure your stylist has time to learn your hair and know exactly what you will need to accomplish the look. Same goes with your makeup. Don't be cheap and be a diva. All stylist and makeup artist have other clients who's day is special who took the previous steps. However because you did not you are now ruining their days by expecting extra time. Luckily for Katie I am in the industry so I can relate to that having that difficult client who you so badly want to make happy, but they are impossible. I wanted to tell this Client how much she was inconveniencing my day, my photographers day and probably every client following me that day. Yes your wedding is special but you are not the only bride that day. If you are like this bride..which I hope you are not! Book trials or hire out for the whole day so you are being courteous to other peoples special days. Lastly I will say I had never met Katie before this day in her studio. I have followed her work for sometime and believed her work spoke for itself. I didn't even show up with a picture. Told her my outfits and told her to do what she thought would look best in my photos. After all she is the expert in makeup not me. She did an incredible job and my makeup looked flawless. I had a small issue with my lash due to the fact I have very sensitive eyes and they water ALOT. I text Katie and she respond almost immediately with a solution. She even checked in later to make sure it solved my problem. Which speaks loudly of her character! I will most definitely be using her again and referring her future business!! read more

I met Katie about 4 years ago through a mutual friend and loved her the moment she walked in my door!!! Not only is she the most beautiful lady, but she is the kindest, most lovely person you will ever have the pleasure of spending time with!! I booked her almost a year in advance for my son's wedding as I didn't want any one else near my face (or hair!!) As you can see from the picture . . . she created masterpieces!! We received so many compliments on our makeup and hair!!! Even some of the bridal party made comments that they wish they had known about her. Katie Lynn is beyond remarkable!! I can't stress enough how extremely talented this lady is Katie took on my whole bridal party of 8 along with 2 junior bridesmaids. She made each girl feel very comfortable, and delivered a very flawless outcome I love all my girls, but I will say they're all perfectionist and not one had a single complaint. Katie not only made everyone gorgeous, she also is very entertaining and made the atmosphere bubbly. Katie is the best! She recently did the bridal makeup for my daughter, her bridesmaids and myself. Each lady looked stunning. Katie also worked with us on scheduling a trial appointment to assure us that on the wedding day everything would be perfect. My daughter lives out of town so Katie worked with her on a date and time that would work well for her. Also, at the last minute we asked Katie to come earlier than expected on the wedding day because the photography needed to start sooner than we had expected. Katie accommodated us without question. I have had my makeup done by Katie for my engagement pictures in 2015, as well as I have taken makeup lessons in 2017 and purchased items from her makeup line this past month. Katie is extremely knowledgeable and does amazing work! When I purchased my makeup from her, she was extremely professional and had amazing customer service! I received my products the next day in the mail! She answered any and all questions and was able to match the foundation color perfectly without me having to go and visit the store (which is a MAJOR plus due to my work schedule).
