Had brunch here. Was solidly sold by the suggestions and excellent customer service. Ordered the Corned Beef Hash made Poutine Style. Great recommendation by the server. Also had a split order of the Carrot Cake pancakes which were subtle in the flavour and not overpowering. Had the Apple Pie for dessert, super flaky crust but the filling was passable. Went during covid, waitresses all were wearing masks, tables were socially distanced, and there was lots of hand sanitizer around. The food itself was super good! I got the traditional eggs benny and the eggs were cooked perfectly and the hollandaise was super buttery. And delicious. The potatoes on the side were cooked crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and I liked the onion and red pepper added to it. I'd defiantly go back again! My only suggestion who I think maybe he was the manager, who came around to check how everything was, which I greatly appreciate, however his mask was not on and he came within 6 feet which made me uncomfortable. Food is "so-so", work environment is toxic and the staff/management are unprofessional. I am very happy my daughter no longer works here. My recommendation- go elsewhere to eat! There are so many better restaurants in Edmonton with professional staff/management and much better food. I have eaten here a few times and never been impressed. Food is ok - but not as good as MKT. As for the beer: Hart's used to have a good beer selection, now it is only craft beer that has a clever name but tastes bad. Bring back some real beer that wasn't made in somebody's garage. read more

We arrived the second Friday they were open, right after work, and were seated near the kitchen and next to the bar. Not an issue- we thought we'd get attentive service this way. Not the case, unfortunately. We ordered a $100 bottle of wine, reviewed the menu with the waiter and ordered within 20 mins of arriving. The place started to full up quickly- can't blame them, nice location, interesting menu, cool interiors. Sadly we watched people seated after us and get served their meal before us, over, and over again. One in our party mentioned this to the manager who seemed not concerned at first but when mentioned again to him, the food came quickly. Sadly we did wait almost an hour for our food. They did right a wrong and comped all four of our meals, which was very nice. Had they done the "we will buy you a desert" trick, we would for sure not go back (that's the most annoying thing a restaurant can do!). We appreciate them comping the meals (we did spend $200 in wine so they made out ok, and yes, we tipped on the original amount, before discount!). The do need to refine their processes and order ringing procedures and bring the prices down about 20%. Yes, it's a pretty nice area, but don't compete with Nineteen, compete with Original Joes. The is the Century Group, they know restaurants, they will get there. Would we go back? Maybe in 6 months once the kinks are worked out and they lower their prices. read more

I tried a good number of restaurants in Edmonton and I am generally disappointed. Not with Harts. This is one of my favorite little go-to places where I like to hang out regularly. The kitchen consistently delivers on quality, times where they missed were very rare. Service is friendly and professional, the Manager is usually present in the evenings and seems to run a tight ship. Prices are fair for the quality of the food compared to many other similar chains, I never felt ripped off, the menu has a nice variety. read more

I was looking forward to trying out Harts and was kind of disappointed. The table we were sat at was a little too cozy for four, two at most. Our knees were all touching, and when our meal came it was incredibly cluttered with water, drinks and the starter plates they didn't clear. I must have been the unlucky one when it came to the meal. Our friends said their food was good, and my husband said his grill cheese was good, but as for my sandwich it was crap. Don't get the Panini Chicken Club! It tastes bland, with dry chicken and the bread will cut the crap out of your mouth. All this being said the hostesses were really nice, our server although a bit awkward was nice, and it seems like an inviting place. Might try it again, but probably not any time soon. read more

I really really really wanted to like this place. The styling is great, the location is basically in my backyard. Buuuut, it's pricey, smaller portions and it's trying to hard to be interesting with the menu. We've been twice and both times the bill was double what I would have wanted/guessed it to be. If there's was a great special or drink specials we'd return more often. So unfortunately the value here is missed - and I like the finer things. It's just an overpriced pub. read more

Went here on half price wine night on Wednesday. The atmosphere is really nice. Can be dark though. Met up with a bunch of friends to just sick and have appetizers. Stumbled across this place while looking for an impromptu nice place to eat on a Friday. Has a very nice vibe and staff are nice. I got the big ass grilled cheese and let me just say, it was magnificent. If you are a cheese lover this is a must try. Their drink menu is very extensive and kind of expensive but tasty. I love their booth with the couches. Didn't get to sit there this time but definitely will have to next time I go. And there will for sure be a next time!! read more

Just visited Harr's for the first time and we were impressed. I think we may have found a new favourite. I had the Pig & Fig Sandwich. It was unique and flavourful. Cocktails were on special (Thursdays) and I enjoyed a Dragon's Breath Mojito. Everyone found something to enjoy. We'll definitely be back. read more

I have been here twice with one time the food wasn't good and the service was horrible. The next time was well over a year later (last month) and I went with my sister at 9pm. It took us a while for anyone to seat us, who was a guy who looked like a manager type. He said we could sit at the bar instead of offering us any other options. It was not that busy. I declined and he realized we were going to want a real table. He seemed annoyed but sat us at one of the many free tables. Food was fine but the atmosphere was not friendly. Bland is the theme of the experience here. First off, seated with no menus for the longest time (keep in mind this is Thursday night and the place really isn't that busy). Luckily we had the drink menu to pass the ice age of time before receiving menus, selected 2 cocktails from their list and then proceeded to wait for another ice age for those to arrive. When the drinks finally did arrive one was horrendously bland and the other should not have been on the menu, I'm not sure how you possibly put 5+ ingredients into a drink and have it turn out so bland. Next up is the food when it arrives, luckily after a normal wait time. The fish tacos are the worst fish tacos I've ever had, inconsistent filling, cold corn tortillas that resembled flavoured rubber, two tacos with fish that was from the same rubber as the tortilla and one that was awfully close to the mush one receives from a can. They didn't even send out the tacos with a lime so I could have some sort of flavour, not to mention that is a staple with fish tacos. So horrifically bland and yet advertised with a sriracha mayo, pickled red onion, and avocado crema. I experienced none of those flavours only cabbage and horrible corn tortillas, worth noting it's advertised with flour tortillas. Not sure who is cooking for this place but my career advise would be to get into tire manufacturing or rubber floor mats. This is the kind of place that will blame covid for closing their doors but trust me it will be the horrendous service and shockingly horrible food that will end this place. read more

Long time followers of Century Grill and in particular the lounge. My wife and I were happy to hear Harts was opening as the lounge atmosphere at Century had died. We ate at Harts once or twice a week for the first six to nine months. We patiently waited for the menu to be perfected. We witnessed many managers come and go and met them all. As a group, followers of Century Grill for many many years, last Friday we met at Harts. We were there to wish farewell to Christina who has been a manager for Century Group for many years and always looked after us well. After the farewell our longtime group all agreed that $9 glasses of beer, over priced wine and hit and miss food quality wasn't going to bring us back to Harts! read more

Well. We gave Hart's another chance and I am glad we did. The server was attentive and friendly. There were 4 of us and we split the deep fried cauliflower! Wow! Crispy, spicy and terrific! I would order that as a side. Will have that again. We had fish tacos, chicken and waffles and the blt kale salad. Really great textures and flavours. Portion sizes were large. Loved the spicy hot sauce under the waffles. Good value for the price. Everything was right on!!' We will be back often! Only down side was how loud the music was. But no biggie!! read more

Had reservations for sunday brunch. Was not greeted at the door for five minutes? Sat at a table and was swarmed by flies. Waiter showed up poured water didn't say anything then left? Sometimes in an effort to be fancy, taste, quality and service are sacrificed. This is the case with Hart's. Their signature burger was over charred & dry. The "Roast" chicken dinner was clearly rotisserie which explains why it was Arizona dry and needed a steak knife to carve. A roast chicken would be fork tender and fall off the bone. The server was awkward and on multiple occasions pointed out the supposed "great value" and "sizable portions". To their credit when the chicken dinner was clearly not enjoyed (evident by over half left on the plate) they did take it off the bill without being prompted. Side note: the final bill came to $35 +/- and they took the entire amount of our $50 gift card. Given that Century Grill exhibited the same quality, the Century Hospitality Group is not on our recommended list of restaurants. read more

The food that wasn't so good was the Calamari and the 'potato chip' nachos. Calamari was very tough, small pieces and not much for flavour. The nachos get all soggy as they are potato chips with lots of melted cheeses of course and they are too flimsy for this kind of snack. Get back to using regular nachos. Service is great. read more

Had a fantastic experience at Harts last weekend. We had to wait for a table but it was quick to get in and the lounge area has nice couches and comfy chairs. There are a lot of delicious sounding options on the menu. I wish I could have tried more. I had the Big Ass Grilled Cheese and added the short ribs. It was delicious. Huge portions so make sure you save room for dessert. The Cast Iron Apple Pie was amazing!!!! Best apple pie I have ever had. There is enough to share which is probably recommended since it is a $10 dessert but me being preggo ate almost the whole thing myself. The staff was all very friendly and efficient. The manager made his rounds through the restaurant checking on every table through the night. Can't wait to go back and try something else. read more

Had an absolutely wonderful evening. We had been recommended by a friend to check this place out, so for our anniversary we decided to go. The service and food was great. We ordered the lettuce wraps for our appetizer, and it was fantastic. There was plenty on the plate for two people sharing. For our mains we ordered the beef dip and steak sandwich, both came out hot and flavourful. They didn't skimp on the fries either. We were treated absolutely great by the management making our night out even more special. Will definitely be going back soon. Pricing was very fair and they have drink specials every day of the week. On Wednesday it is half priced wine. They even recorked our half empty bottle for us to take home. Should really check this place out, I don't think you would be disappointed. read more

The Century group has done it again. This place is awesome. The whole room is warm and inviting and the serving staff make you feel at home.
