I just moved to Texas from Washington. Never been out of my state until now. Not sure if it's normal to have dead cockroaches on the ground in the South but I wouldn't eat here again. First time I ate from them was when my bf brought home some of their food and it was bomb af. Chicken seasoned good. But today I went in and it looked nasty and when you talk to the employees they seem like the careless type. My boyfriend said "the more ghetto the better" which is stupid af lol I'm not going to eat there again.

Worthless salad, tasteless corn, fair at best chicken. The highlight of the meal was the mash potatoes and the juice.

Ok. Every body makes mistakes in life. Even God screws up every now and then. Like why make left handed people. Can't they learn be like every one else. Well, today was my error. Hartz chicken at this location is a dump. I repeat a dump! I came in and the lady next to me was upset. She drove all the way back because her roll was missing from her drive through order. They told her "tuff beans" and she left angry. Seriously? Anybody willing to drive all the way back to complain just about a missing roll. Just to make them happy. Give them a roll. But the ladies at the front counter put no effort in customer service. They could care less. The interior is incredibly dirty and they have some of the worst smelling bathrooms I have ever been in. They put absolutely no effort in trying to keep the place up. Salad bar, cheap iceberg lettuce w/ fake bacon bits, stale croutons, and an assortment of the cheapest dressing you can find. What a waste. Chicken buffet. This is why people come here. Because for $10?you can cram as many pieces of cheap chicken into yourself as you possible can. The highlight of the buffet is the mashed potatoes and gravy. The rest was of the lowest quality, but, largest quantity ( it's a buffet after all) choices of trash you could find. Yes I know this is a harsh review but when a restaurant strives this hard to set the bottom mark on the totem pole they deserve it. Heck they are proud of it. The patrons who come here by and large are hard working guys mostly looking for a cheap , large quantity, low quality meal. This is not a place to take the family. If so McDonald's and Sonic are right next door. I really wish someone with the health department would find the time to come here and inspect this place.

Nice regular Hartz chicken buffet 1/24/17.

I always heard this place was bad, and read it on here, so avoided it for 4 1/2 years in the area, eating all around it instead. Even pulled up in my car, expecting to look and leave. Instead, I found a nicely kept up buffet, with many items. The place was quite clean- much cleaner than some others. It was 6:30 at night on a Tuesday. I feel like a fool, having missed out on it all this time. I'll post pics. Updating this, I've switched to a different Hartz chicken buffet, after getting diarrhea twice at this one by Sonic and McDonalds. Never having that problem at the one at 5037 FM 2920 Rd. Spring, TX 77388, after 6 visits, and tasting everything including drinks and ice cream.

Empty at lunchtime? Whats going on?

This location was great. Went at around 7:35 at night and the food was moist and flavorful, even after the drive home.

Upon first glance of the interior, it looks like this space used to be a bar or something with a huge bar area in the middle of the space off to the right side. There are many circular cut outs in the ceiling where huge room fans are installed. They make all their dressings homemade, and hand bread many of their fried items like mushrooms, onion rings and stuffed jalapeños. They have salads, burgers, and 12 different comfort food entrees. They also have a daily special menu that spotlights a couple items of the day and their coffees, soups and dessert. They are a beer and wine restaurant. One unique item they have on the menu is a fork and knife hot dog which costs $13. Wow, this better be one awesome hot dog. The day I visited, they had a party for about 30 senior citizens that were celebrating a birthday. Normally that many customers in a single group would make a restaurant pretty loud, but it was actually extremely quiet in the restaurant. Every good restaurant does something slightly different to set them apart. Here at dinner, they give you a dinner roll slathered in melted honey butter and rosemary. The roll itself seemed to be made from frozen dough, but the tasty butter made it edible. I ordered the chicken club and kept the fries as my side. As far as presentation, I'd give it a C. The fries are frozen breaded fries. The sandwich tasted better than it looked thankfully. Service was good throughout my time here. Overall, the meal was good enough and I will be coming back to try other options.

Service was excellent…read more Ambiance--usual diner feel Food: Ox tails delicious--tad too spicy but I enjoyed every bite! Rice & gravy gummy with no seasoning! Cabbage was good--greens very spicy! Gave to my sister who rated 9 out of 10 would recommend. Cornbread was like hard day old bread and went into the trash! Bbq platter: BIL loved his plate! Said potato salad was meh but all else good! Hotlinks, ribs, and beans! Sister got fried chicken and added mac&cheese along with yams! Chicken was fresh but not seasoned much! Mac&cheese good for diner menu option, and yams were okay she said! Greasy spoon Mac is better IMO but Granny's oxtails the best I've had here in H-town! Although spicy/hot food is not my favorite I did enjoy them If the cornbread were softer & sweeter I think the rating would be 4! Would I go back? Hmm! Yea for the tails of course! I saw they have catfish & black eyed peas so I may try those next time as well! Overall 3.5 but can't do half stars By default I left it at 4
