I just moved into a lovely apartment that unfortunately happens to only have a washer and a dryer in the apartment complex. One of the units is out of order, so I scrambled to find a laundromat nearby where I could get a wash and fold drop-off service while I ran errands for my new apartment. I had never gotten a drop-off service before. I came across this laundromat and the lady working at the cash register told me the price for the service was $72 (comforter was $30 which is a flat price, clothes/sheets were $42 because it's $3 per pound). She told me it would be ready at 3pm, which is when the establishment closes on Saturdays. I left with a sigh of relief. I ran errands for a few hours and lost track of time, but luckily when I called at around 4pm, the same lady was still working due to the high volume of drop-off services. She was so kind as to let me come pick up my stuff (knowing that the establishment is closed on Sunday) and she was very sweet! The price she told me upfront was exactly what I had to pay. When I got home, my clothes, sheets, and comforter were perfectly folded, and it was so easy to just put everything in the right place. I'm absolutely coming here more often, but I'll just do self-service. read more

I needed to repair the inside fabric in the shoulders of two ladies wool jackets and the woman who works there did a great job!

They do not allow public laundry that is not displayed anywhere - so if yo need to do your own laundry don't try this place.

Just went to this laundromat and it was very convenient. I overheard the lady saying that she can wash for you for about $2 a lb. Not bad if you don't have time to wash. There is a good coffee shop next door and Flour is a few blocks up. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. YOU WILL GET SCAMMED! Washing machines can't even handle a half of a load of laundry at a time. They lock the door and you have to wait outside for someone to let you in as if they have a stockpile of gold hidden in the place. I apparently "broke" one of the washing machines by filling it up half way. They have no change machines, so you have to go to the front and get change. TWO times they shortchanged me on money. I'm pretty sure this is a regular thing for them, as two different people skipped the number 13 when counting out change. "10, 11, 12, 14, 15".... SCAM! read more

My daughter ran the Boston marathon and then we had limited time for touring Boston the next day but needed laundry done. We were lucky to find this place. We dropped off laundry in am and picked it up cleaned, folded and packed in convenient bag in late afternoon. The person at desk was friendly and excellent. This worked great for us. read more

I trimmed my long dress here once. I think it's a simple job. They asked me to come back in two days which is acceptable. Slightly pricy for that job though. It cost 40 dollars for trimming the tail of a long dressw(nothing fancy, evenly cut tail of a long dress.) read more

I have been using the services of this business since they opened about 5 years ago. They are very conscientious and very friendly. I have my own business just a few doors down and have sent many of my clients there and they are very happy with their friendly, efficient and professional services. Personally they do a great job with my laundry: wash, dry, fold as well as my cotton dress shirts and dry cleaning. On occasion I have had them do some alterations and I must say it is top rate. This is a very clean and very friendly cleaners. I have never used their dry cleaning service, but their coin operated laundry is reasonably priced. The owner is friendly and always lets me know which is the best machine to use. Their hours are limited, but it's worth it. read more

They're nice enough people, but they know they're the only game in town and charge accordingly, especially for the laundromat (as opposed to dry cleaning). They don't have convenient hours for people who work - not all of us in Harvard Sq are students or own homes with w/d. They only have 4 functional washing machines (the ones in the back), so don't even bother on weekends. Especially Sunday, when they're closed. At least you can chill next door at Darwin's. We were tourists needing shirts cleaned because they were new and we were at the tail end of a long international trip. The owners really went out of their way to get our shirts done in time for us to use them right away and make our flight. I offered to pay more because of the rush and they said no and did a fantastic job very quickly. Please know how genuinely wonderful they are - you just don't find this that often! read more

Very old machines that can't hold very much for $3 a load. There's only one temp of water. Cold. I asked if there was actual hot water and was told "There is but no one use it so it doesn't come out" Umm... right. That's crazy. Looked inside the machine during the rinse cycle and it was full of soap still. I also was greeted upon entering by being told to "go to the back." I had almost 6 loads to do, but decided to only do the 2 I started and go some where else. Every move I made was watched. Sadly, I had to take an Uber to get to this place. If you have other options don't come here. Luckily, I only had to use a laundry mat because my building machines were broken at the time. Never again. read more

The owner couldn't be sweeter or more helpful. I have had her clean and alter multiple things. Since we go there so often, she always gets our things done overnight and has even kept the store open late when I called her to tell her I was coming. The owner is super friendly. While not all the washing machines do an equally effective job in cleaning clothes, the owner at least tells me in advance which machine is "best." A few times she has seen me load my clothes into one machine and recommended that I wash my clothes in one of her "faster" machines when available. She is pretty efficient with dry cleaning and tailoring services. She is also honest about what services are worth the time. Once I brought in a dress that needed to be repaired. She told me that the cost to fix it would've been more expensive than the dress itself. I appreciate that type of honesty. read more

Went to this place out of desperation b/c it was open so early in the AM. It's tiny and not cheap. Just 3 loads ended up costing $$$16.50. If a business has dry cleaning, stick to it, dont' try to add on a laundromat. The dryers are .25 per each 4 minute increment, EXCUSE me!!!!!! And they don't have tables for folding so I guess you're stuck hanging clothes over the doors or just smooshing it all in the laundry bag til you get home. It's never a good combo, either stick with dry cleaning or provide better equipment and service for an actual laundromat. read more

This is the best dry cleaners in the area. The only place I'd trust with my chiffon and charmeuse blouses/dresses and other 'difficult' garments. The staff is super nice and friendly, and the turn around time is great. It is on the pricey side, but I'd always rather pay a bit more to see my clothing returned in excellent shape. I stayed at the Harvard Square Hotel for a week this month and walked down twice to do laundry. I was the only person both times (A Sat and a Thurs both around 4 PM ) so there was no waiting. Friendly woman running the place sold me the soap I needed and gave me change. Loaded the machines full (I am cheap.) and everything came out clean. First time I ran out for an errand which took way longer than expected and she moved wet clothes into the dryer for me. Only one chair as the space is narrow but there are benches and a cafe next door. I would go here next time I am in Cambridge. My 5 stars can't speak to the dry cleaning as I didn't need to use it, but as far as a place to do your wash, this was a very good experience. They WILL do your wash for you by the pound if you don't have time/desire to do it yourself. read more

We are staying at the Charles Hotel, which charges $11 to launder one pair of pajamas. Since my daughter is at a week-long sports camp, she is generating lots of laundry. I decided to do the laundry myself at the Harvard Highland laundromat, and it could not have been easier. I walked the few blocks from the hotel to the laundromat. They sold me individual boxes of laundry detergent for $1 each, and provided change for the machines. Each wash load costs $3 and takes 28 minutes. Drying each load costs $1.50 and takes 24 minutes. Total for each load of laundry: $5.50. I sat and read a book while I waited. There is also a cafe in the same block for those who prefer to grab a snack while they wait. There were about a dozen washers and ten dryers. There were no other patrons during the time I was there on a weekday morning, so I was able to do three loads at once and finish the entire process in less than an hour. read more

Friendly family business, the washers and dryers are reasonably priced, good quality and don't break down. One wash load is done under 30 minutes, and I can usually get a thorough dry in about 24 minutes, so i'm out in an hour. She also does my dry cleaning for $2 per shirt and it comes out fine everytime and was able to get a stubborn olive oil stain out of my shirt that Zoots in Porter square couldn't! Losing one star for slightly inconvenient hours (only because I dont get home until 6-7pm and they are closed then), so I end up having to either pick up my dry cleaning very early when they first open or wait until saturday. But beggars can't be choosers, I only see one proprieter there at any given time and it's a small store so, I can't fault them too much for wanting to go home at the end of the day. read more

Harvard Highland Laundromat is superb! I have used almost all of the services they provide, and I am continually left amazed. The shop is always clean, consistent, and economically reasonable. I have relied on this location for years for laundry, alterations and repairs. Dry cleaning is also a staple for me from this place, and they always go the extra mile. Things are ready when they say they will be ready and there is no guesswork about what to expect. Over the weekend, she offered to stay late for me to pick up my clothing, and also tightened one of my shirt buttons free of charge! I don't normally write reviews but wanted to relay a good experience I had here. Having forgotten to pick up my dry cleaning, I walked past the proprietor on the street who was getting in her car to leave. She recognized me, asked if I wanted to pick up the clothes now, then proceeded to *re-open* the store just for me. This is simply extraordinary service. I had had only good experiences before, but I am now certain I will continue to use this dry cleaner for as long as I live in Cambridge. read more

The women who runs this place is lovely. However, the dry cleaning is not so great. The cuffs of my light blue jacket were still dirty when I pulled it out of the cleaning bag. We can't say enough about Thwy and Dao! Their service is excellent, their prices are reasonable, and they are the best addition we could hope for to our neighborhood! We feel so lucky to have them there to help with cleaning, alterations, and making us happy each day when we walk past their window with our 1-year-old daughter, who loves to wave hello to them in the morning. Brought in one small bag of laundry at 4.2 lbs. per pound, tow which they charge $1.50 per pound. So far so good. But the say they charge a minimum charge of $15 dollars. Seemed like last minute highway robbery, so I will do my laundry elsewhere. There is no obvious reason for a minimum charge of that magnitude. There are no big economies of scale that I can see that would merit an $8.50 surcharge. read more

I took my jeans to be hemmed here and I have to say that I am very happy with it. The jeans came out great and the prices here are really good. $10 for my jeans to be hemmed vs other places that do the same thing but charge more. read more
