best laundromat in/around somerville. found this place recommended on reddit, gave it a try, blew my expectations. i'm a new-comer to laundromats and this one doesn't feel as much of a chore to have to go to. $8 for a 40lb load, $10 for a 60, not sure about the others i didn't look. great prices great service great attendants great amenities. and if you get a laundry card ($5) you get 10% off every time you load, and it adds it to your balance. we loaded $20 and it gave us $22! read more

Been using laundromats across the US on an RV trip. Credit card wash/dry machines seem more convenient but it comes at an extra cost. $8 4 load wash with warm water $1 dry for 16min Parking is very tight Accidentally swiped credit card 3 times thinking it wasn't working on the dryer. Actually a different screen out of proximity was tallying minutes. Ended up paying $2.50 for 40min of dry time. No refunds. Place is a kind of a dump. No bathrooms for customers. No clean and comfortable place to sit. I haven't been to a laundromat in a while but $4.50 for a single wash seems high. Dropped to 1 star based on response. Have no idea what gas has to do with washing cloths. I clearly stated I hadn't been in a laundromat in a while but $4.50 "seemed" high. Simply stating that's the current rate would have sufficed. Pictures online clearly don't match reality, there were bins blocking everything. I was disappointed and posted because I could not find a decent place to sit and most importantly when I asked to use the bathroom I was told there are no bathrooms for customers. The tone and attitude of the person who responded to my question was the main reason for the post. In contrast. The incredibly professional and nice people in the coffee shop next door not only served a great cup of coffee they graciously allowed me to use the restroom. read more

In my life there have been a handful of times when a business truly floored me with their service, my experience with Supersuds was one of them. I only used their wash/fold service once about two years ago but it was one of the best experiences I've had as a customer, period. Kostas was extremely quick to respond and communicative through the entire process. In 2015 I lived in a basement apartment that was very humid, to the point where after a few months of living there all of my clothes had developed that awful musty mildew smell. Even after moving out the smell would not come out despite trying all the tricks people recommend. I hated the idea of losing a large portion of my wardrobe but also despised catching that scent multiple times through the day. I contacted Supersuds as a last resort before throwing away a large amount of clothes. I explained the situation and Kostas was honest and said he couldn't promise anything but he would do his very best and use all resources available. I told Kostas up front I was absolutely willing to pay more than the listed rates for the extra care I was requesting. He REFUSED saying he would only charge me the normal wash/fold price. He even came to my apartment to pick up and drop off my clothes. I got the clothes back, and a few days later opened the bag with little hope the smell would truly be gone. I could not believe how good the clothes smelled. Clean, fresh, and the musty odor was completely absent and never returned. You will not find better service, if you're looking for a place to do, or to have your laundry done, stop looking. This is the one. read more

This is the best laundromat in the area. Always super clean and smells nice (not a given at all laundromats in the area). The machines are reasonably priced and there's usually plenty open. The chairs are nice and comfy and in general is a more comfortable place to do laundry in than most laundromats. We forgo quite a few other laundromats closer to home to come here. read more

This place the parking is horrible it's small inside is very crowded the machines are good but that the only problem is that they don't have a lot of machines so the people that work there they usually use all the machines and to dry your clothes it's horrible the people that work there they are trying other people's clothes and they feel everything up they leave the clothes on attendant there did you at least pick it up quickly so other people that are there to use the empty dryer I get tired of letting the people that work there no if I can use the dryer because they are working but their dryer stopped and they still leave it there more than 10 15 30 minutes an hour pass by so it's kind of the only place right now for the moment that is reliable but if you want to do laundry on a Monday or Tuesday or Wednesday or Thursday or Friday it's horrible even though you go early in the morning they are working and they are using all the dryers all the washing machines and it gets crowded so good luck on that they are two workers there they're very mean and not nice and are friendly so if you are in a hurry and you want to dry your clothes and they don't take the clothes out of the dryer and they're very busy I took it out I told the worker and she got upset at me and she spoke to me in a wrong way I'm a customer she should have not talk to me like that they need to hire people more friendly and respectful and if you going to do your job make sure that you also has space for the people that are coming into your business to dry and wash clothes read more

Takes 40 minutes to do 3 months worth of laundry. Drying is only 50 cents a machine and takes 5 to 8 minutes to dry. Big machine is 15$ but it's an 80 pound machine that washes in 23 minutes. Totally worth it!! read more

I've been extremely pleased with the wash/dry/fold pickup service during the pandemic. Kostas and the other staff I've talked to have been fantastic about communication, and clear about when they'll pick up (and when things will be returned), and happy to work with my schedule. My laundry is returned folded and clean, in great shape. As someone who's high risk (and not going into buildings unless it's essential), it's been a big relief to have a way to manage this (though I look forward to eventually being able to go do my laundry in person again, weird as that might sound.) read more

Superb facility - I am blown away. There is even a rather comfy massage chair that is free. I got a lovely back massage as my laundry was being done. All the washers and dryers take credit and debit cards - which is a huge plus. The young lady named Abigail is super friendly and helpful. The short guy with a funny haircut at the front desk less so - in fact, a bit of a smart Alec (I don't know his name). He was talking to me like I was a moron - anyway I totally ignored him after telling him bluntly that he should learn from Abigail how to deal with customers. Overall, the facility gets top marks from me. Many thoughtful touches eg vending machines, free WiFi, phone charging station to stay productive and connected during this vital but boring chore. The decor is nice - with several maritime themes - probably a nod to the owner's Greek/Cypriot roots, given that last name. I will definitely be back. read more

I like going to this laundry mat. There is parking. The biggest washer they have there is only one. It is always so busy when I go or no parking in the parking lot. Always waiting for a machine or people are on top of you. Would be better if they invested in more bigger sized washers instead of just having on big washer. read more

Kostov (I hope that's how you spell his name), the owner is super sweet and has set up quite an establishment here. When most of us think of going to the laundromat, we envision shades of gray from the walls to the floors to the machines. As if having to actually DO laundry wasn't torture enough, those awkward lapses being actually loading, unloading and folding don't help. But at Super Suds.. It's a complete different experience. The walls are splashed with bright colors. The machines are all new and you have the option to use your debit/credit card for payment (no more panic about quarters!). Even better, during the week they have daily specials like free detergent or donuts (from the Dermet's right next door, which are delish). Don't think I can top that? You have access to free wifi and work stations AND a massage chair in case you are so inclined to indulge in a little relaxation. Sometimes I'll spend an afternoon knocking out my laundry and bring my laptop along so I can work as well, making my time here extra well spent. Used to be really good, but now they are picky about when they pick up and deliver. No weekend pickup and delivery service. I am disabled and cannot shlep my heavy laundry back and forth. Ok.. so.. How do you really review a Laundromat? I'm going to give it a shot. This place is always clean, with plenty of washer and driers of varying sizes. The staff when needed are friendly, and the owner takes great pride in his establishment. They have snack machines, free soap on certain days, hot dogs, donuts, even a cell phone charging tower. They even have a membership option that gives you a fob access to it after 9pm so you can come and do your laundry when no one else is there. VIP access! Sometimes it can be pretty loud in here if you're looking to read or do work, with music, other people talking, or the tv blaring. read more

Overall it is a good place. All the machines take cards. The owner takes great pride and care of the business. Two issues i have. People are allowed to smoke right outside the door. The place some days stinks like smoke. The other is that they don't discourage people from talking on their cellphones while waiting. The problem here is more on the inconsiderate people - but if you go be ready for it. Really impressed with Super Suds! I can't say anything about the previous owners, but the newest current owners are super sweet! On the 'grand reopening' they had homemade baklava, $1 washes, and free hotdogs for everyone! The washers are HUGE, and will take up to 4 loads at a time! The dryers are equally big as well, and seem to get clothes dry very fast! We have been consistenly taking 4 loads at a time and finsbing the whole process from washing to drying in around 2 hours! Each washer/dryer has its own coin slot as well as credit card terminal, so no need for getting change unless you want to lug pounds of quarters around with you! I am not exactly sure in price per wash/ per dry, but I know we spend somewhere between $6- $10 on 4 loads to wash and dry! They also have '$1 off ' washes on Wed and Thurs!! It is a REALLY nice, clean place, with comfortable seating and a nice big screen TV. No one likes to do laundry, but at least you can feel comfy and get a great value at a place like Super Suds! read more

Love they have a red bull vendor machine for those that need to get the job done without the energy. Especially when you've got 3 huge loads of laundry like me. After rocking 2 boys for nearly five years, they were in need of a good washing. This place is so friendly, very comfortable and surprisingly quiet! Went there based on the stellar reviews for this location. Here's my experience: 1. Went in on a Wednesday, which is advertised as free detergent and cookies day. There was no cookies. Period! And the free detergent was Arm and Hammer, the cheapest, bulk detergent one can get from Costco. The lady overseeing the store was rather rude. The "ice on the cake" was when she charged for $1 per plastic cover in which the clean clothes they wash and fold are packed. Seriously?! $1 a plastic cover... The larger machines were clean. Not a frequent laundromat user since I have a washer/dryer in my apartment. Paid $9.00 for one load of their larger sanitizing washer. Not sure if it really sanitizes in any scientific manner! read more
