We ended up living here for 6 years and now that we've moved away - I miss it more than ever. You can't beat the maintenance crew and groundskeepers. They are so prompt, so professional, and all around great, trustworthy humans. The garages are such a game changer. They're a bit narrow but I didn't realize how deep they were for storage until we were moving out! The guest parking here is a breeze and we never had an issue. The process is clear and there wasn't a lot of unexpected towing or anything like that. While we continued to have noise issues with our downstairs neighbor and the units weren't quite as sound proof as one may like - especially in the early phases - it stays pretty quiet. I always felt incredibly safe in this complex and I think the code system for the gate works well - though I wish the codes could work on all 4 gates. The facilities are well kept and go largely underutilized. We had a few run ins especially when it came time to renew our lease with confusion in the front office but overall - this place is great. If I could give them -0.001 stars I would this is by far one of the worst places I have ever experienced living. I've been here for a year and I have gotten nothing but harassment by everybody. I get notes on my door weekly from neighbor saying that my kids need to "shut up"teacher children to behave better "teacher Dawg to shut up "make sure you stay more quiet I have a five-year-old and a three-year-old and I get constantly harassed and then today at the pool I got harassed by one of the security guard stating that I needed to be leaving my three-year-old child in the pool and stay with my six-year-old in the hot tub when I had witnesses showing that I was a very active mother let me add that single mother watching both of her children staying consistently in the middle between them, ensuring their safety at all times also they had a lifejackets on nevertheless, this is by far the worst place I have ever experienced. I constantly get harassed by neighbors. They treated like a 55 and over communities so heaven forbid you have children because they do not like having kids here they say that they like dogs, but they don't. I frequently put my trash out and they will consistently ignore my trash and not pick it up. I consistently get notes and complaints on the door. This place completely ruined my rental history now that I'm trying to find a different place to move, they have completely destroyed. My credibility as a renter and all I have done is done my best to be a good tenant and keep to ourselves. I've always paid rent on time. I've always paid utilities on time. I've always picked up my dog poop I've always been my very best to be cordial to other people but apparently when you're a single mom who has a five-year-old and a three-year-old with severe ADHD and on the spectrum, you will absolutely be hated in this Little what they wanna call community. It's absolutely terrible. Do not move here. I beg you do not move here. Oh, and to add an extra complaint, the security gal who has seen me there multiple multiple times since I've been here an entire year and I'm there with my kids at least 3 to 4 times a week. She took a picture right in front of my face and then took my child's picture and walked away not OK. And you would think that when I bring these issues up to the office, they would actually help but unfortunately all I got from them was more harassment. I got ignored and told that I'm the problem, even though I I have witnesses and evidence funny thing is I'm barely even home cause I work a medical job about 60 hours a week and the only time that we're home is at night on the weekends and yet I get harassment on my door and let me tell you something you go to complain about them they will not help you. I even had a neighbor saying that my dad, my dog attacked them even though my dog's a service animal and hasn't even touched anybody in this neighborhood. Needless to say they treat this place like a 55 and over community so if you have an active lifestyle active kids go look somewhere else. read more

Re-Edited: Five stars. I remain extremely happy with all the personnel and grounds workers at this lovely community. Brief summary of issue - now successfully resolved! I think some things need to be improved. For the first time, I erred and paid rent one day late. It was a busy schedule and thinking it was earlier vs an issue with funds. Shockingly, this prompted Lewis Community management to initiate Court proceedings -- as required by law. A process server from the local Court came to my door and placed a formal 7-Day Notice to Pay Rent or Quit. Noteworthy: the service of the legal action was placed a day *after* I already paid. The manager was very nice, professional, informative and sympathetic. She thoroughly explained their process [which is a State Regulation, not a matter of Community Policy] and agreed that she will be following up with the Regional leadership. (((Just a friendly note for residents in the State of Nevada (at least), know the legal requirements as they may differ from your home state (CA)))). In our case, we need to take time to breath during our very busy schedules. We learned a lot about the process through the Regional manager. While this was a surprise to us, the manner in which everyone addressed this issue was outstanding and with much compassion. I highly recommend Harvest Damonte Ranch. Not only is it a very well-kept and beautiful place to reside, the people are very friendly and reasonable. read more

The best way I can describe living here, is when Squidward from Spongebob moved into Tentacle Acres. Absolutely no sense of individuality in this place, it feels sterilized and if you step a foot out of line for anything that could possibly be deemed "offensive" or "upsetting" to anyone (such as leaving the trash at your front door over night so you can take it down in the morning when they collect it) you will receive a nasty gram over the phone and online. Literally got one for tracking pine needles OUTSIDE and not cleaning them up. Something from a literal tree, as if leaves don't exist outside? So if you love being harassed 24/7 by your complex for stupid stuff then this is the place for you. Over priced, staff is constantly coming and going, you'll never see the same people twice in the office and half the time they don't know what they're talking about. Not worth the price whatsoever, there's dozens of other places in South Reno that I would choose over this place. 0/10 read more

We lived here for over two years and loved it. Outside of having your own home this is the best place we could have lived. Any maintenance requests were handled same day sometimes within an hour of putting the request in. Management was always helpful and willing to work with us on requests or changes. The amenities were awesome, we used the dog park almost daily which was the best dog park an apartment complex could have. Never had an issue with parking or space in the complex. Our unit was beautiful and I miss it. Harvest was a great place to call home. Moving out was an ease. We ended up putting our 30 day notice in a week before we moved and they had our unit rented almost a week after we moved out so we got almost all of our last months rent back, and the move out cleaning from Harvest was half the cost I got quoted for someone to do it for us. I've lived here almost a year now and have been only the second tenant to rent my unit. The grounds themselves are very well maintained, pools, gym, library, locking parcel boxes- all updated and in good condition. My biggest issue is the construction of the units. Along with many other tenants at this complex, I agree, these units are LOUD. When it's windy, you hear the vents and pipes creaking and tapping against the drywall- you hear the toilets when flushed in other units through the wall as well. It doesn't sound like they used any underlayer or noise padding beneath the laminate flooring, and the upstairs units do not have carpet to reduce walking traffic noise. The bedrooms are impossible to temperature control due to restricted vents and are often too hot or too cold vs the rest of the house. There are no soft close hinges on the front doors so when someone in the building lets the door close on its own, it sounds like it's slamming and resonates through the walls. The grey key fobs used to open gates and use pool, bbqs ect. Don't always work properly, which can be quite a hassle. It's a beautiful condominium, but I feel they cut a lot of corners while building. It feels like we live in a hotel. I'm very disappointed in the quality of the Harvest Condominiums. That being said, the management is friendly and maintenance is prompt. I feel safe at this residence and there is little crime or loitering. Cars are safe parked in the complex with the exception of a few dings here and there. The gate encloses the entire complex and the landscaping is well maintained. read more

I have reviewed the harvest apartments more than once but thought I would leave an additional one solely for the maintenance team. We have lived here for a long time and haven't had much need to use maintenance but when our trash drawer broke late at night due to our wear and tear I put in a maintenance request and specified it was not an emergency but got a call the next day by 10 am and they were there in minutes! I know this isn't common for apartments or just landlords in general but harvests maintenance team deserves a huge shout out! read more

The best moving experience anyone could ask for! Not only that, the place is beautiful. All the people who work here are amazing and helpful but Elizabeth helped me most with my move since I spoke to her first. Everyone including Elizabeth's customer service is unmatched! I call with question, they answer and help! I work A LOT, so I can be in a hurry and get overwhelmed easy during moves. They didn't mind at all and eased all my concerns if and when I had any. We definitely picked the wrong place to live, before we switched jobs and now live in a Condo with double the square feet in California. The Apartment we lived in was loud. We could hear our neighbors above us going to the bathroom, amongst other things. We would be working from home and our upstairs neighbors were so loud, our co-workers and Director even heard them. Seams started to settle in the ceiling, which was not safe. We told maintenance, but they didn't care. People speed through the complex and my children, puppy and us have been almost hit numerous times. Dog feces are pretty much everywhere, because of the entitlement people think they have. Most dogs aren't on leashes. When my dog passed away, Harvest required a Certificate of his Death. Who asks for that??? And how do I hide an 80 pound dog due to not paying pet rent? Thanks for that. Expect to smell smoking in non-smoking areas, drunk people at the pool, dogs in the pool, pretty much any of Harvest's so-called regulations were not followed in the community. So, NO...about $3000 in rent a month is NOT worth it. I would look around for another place to live, that actually values and respects residents. My stress level is 100% better now, living where I do now. read more

So far so good. With some minor exceptions, I'm very impressed. Pros: The intention and execution is well-organized. Clean, safe, upscale, quiet, stellar amenities like a 4 or 5 star hotel, grills, comfortable seating and fire pits around the property, beautiful landscaping and tons of wide sidewalks. My unit and the grounds are very accessible. Wide doors, smooth transitions between rooms. Daily trash valet. It's a very easy place to live. Cons: The move-in maintenance situation is a little odd. Make sure you check you have the correct appliances, try the doors, locks, etc. my kitchen door handle has a stripped screw so it's only held on by one and the blinds valance is about to fall down on one side. I can't reach it to fix it. One of the freezer shelves was broken. I had to hot glue it. I'm sure I was supposed to have a high efficiency washer and dryer instead of loud old clunkers that eat my clothing, my front door keys both quit working mysteriously, and one of my mailbox keys, the bedroom carpeting was installed improperly and is fraying at the transition strip, you can rent ceiling fans for the bedrooms....(?! weird), I'm not one to call and have maintenance in and out of my home, so I should have spent more time initially, and insisted on the correct washer and dryer. Other than those annoyances, the place is very nice and offers a high quality of life. read more

Our experience with Harvest at Damonte Ranch was 100% positive. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and well maintained. There are two crystal clear pools, two well-equipped fitness centers, a game room, a craft area, an area for meetings, and a secure place for delivered packages. Our apartment was modern and appliances worked perfectly. On top of all that, the employees are friendly, helpful, and respond immediately to any type of request. We were on vacation when the general manager, Davery, call to inform me that game room equipment had been repaired so I could use it with my grandkids. I was impressed. The front office employees always have smiles on their faces and follow through with any request. Finally, their maintenance team is incredible. They are quick to respond, quick to repair, and maintain a complex with many residents. I highly recommend Harvest! read more

Apartment was fine, nothing spectacular, but we were comfortable for the 2 years we lived there. The pool and the grounds were nice and I liked the dog park. The biggest beef I have is what happened after we moved out. And let me preface this by saying we didn't end up owing money due to our deposits and overpaying on rent one month, but I'm mad about the absolute waste of resources. They ended up removing and replacing ALL the carpet because of "pet stains". Mind you, the stains were ONLY VISIBLE UNDER UV LIGHT! This could easily have been solved by spraying an enzyme cleaner and steam cleaning the carpet. They also replaces the microwave because of a 2 inch scuff mark In this day and age of climate change wasting resources like this makes me furious!!!! Such a waste!!! The apartment was clean when we left. All in needed was a coat of paint and the carpets steam cleaned. And if we hadn't overpaid rent we would have owed $165. From other reviews I've read anyone with pets can expect the carpet to be replaced and Harvest will claim "excessive damage". Don't believe this. I'll include pics of our apartment that I took. Hello. It's been about a year and a half that i moved to HDR. Ever since i first saw the harvest, the apartments and met the office, my experience has been 5 stars, i love my apartment and the people who make the community around it. the location is absolutely magnificent, across the street from Damonte Ranch Park . i have a direct view or more so a 180 degrees of mountains with a beautiful sunrise and sunset. The apartment is brand new and beautiful it has a modern but elegant touch. I live by myself so i appreciate how friendly every one is at HDR. The maintenance team, the office and of course the amazing Manager, Lauren Wright are so incredibly sweet and helpful. I truly feel like i am apart of a family here at HDR. I would like to empathize and help acknowledge the high quality of service from the maintenance team, they all say hi and ask about my day every time i cross one of them in the complex, they are also super efficient when it comes to fixing something or to respond to a concern, ALWAY HERE TO HELP. i want to thank you all for making HDR my home. I am a resident of almost 2 years in Harvest at Damonte Ranch in a beautiful 3/2 townhome with 2 car garage. I love living here for so many reasons, the cleanliness of the community is top-notch. The amenities are amazing and I feel like I'm at a 5 star resort with 2 pools, gyms, hot tubs, multiple fire pits, BBQ areas, kids playground and 2 dog parks! It's a great place to raise a family and/or a furry family member, it's safe, secure, quiet and all of my neighbors are welcoming. Shout out to the on-site maintenance team, each of them do a great job for our community. I work directly with James who has been so quick to make anything I need fixed or a light bulb happen quickly. Fred is my Sunday morning buddy who while doing our daily trash pick-up will stop to chat with me about my family or anything else to make me feel good. Jason always has a friendly smile and wave. Also shout out to our leasing office team who are wonderful people and super friendly too! Elizabeth, Sydnee and Our GM Davery. This community is a gem in south Reno. I'm going to start this by saying I NEVER POST YELP REVIEWS BUT THIS FELT NEEDED. The maintenance staff and one office staff, Lily, were the only enjoyable part of living here. The apartment: These apartments were built quickly and cheaply. The floors were easily scratched (an empty box created a giant mark on our floor that wouldn't come up, ON MOVE IN DAY.) the ventilation system didn't evenly cool/heat the bedrooms unless all other vents in the apartment were closed. You could hear every movement on your upstairs neighbors, including when they were peeing. When someone slammed their door in the building, it would resonate and rattle our front door. It actually got to the point during a phase of working at home, that I had to put rolled up paper towels in the door and close it to prevent the earthquake-like sound. Everything else was okay; nice colored walls, nice appliances, floor plans make sense. Complex grounds: Moved in during the peak of Covid, and all the amenities were unavailable, without any reimbursement for several months. The main barbecue area closest to our apartment was "under construction" for over 6 months. Having grass all around the complex may seem appealing, until they over water it (3 times a day), which resulted in algae growth and produced an unappealing swamp-like smell. The DOG park was closed so they could install a "rock river drainage system" (?) that seemed more hazardous than helpful. (It's a dog park... that dogs run around in... and you expect them to not break an ankle when they run over the rocks?) There was constant dog poop all over the grounds (the maintenance team was always right on it, but it wasn't enforced?) The complex requires a $35 fee and poop sample from your dog so they can DNA test any poop on the grounds left behind, sounds more like a cash grab. There is a "trash service" that seems more like a hassle than a convenience. You have to leave your trash outside of your garage between a certain time frame, and they come pick it up. If you miss the time frame, you're stuck with your trash in your apartment or on your patio. You literally cannot put your trash in a dumpster. The mail situation is ridiculous. First of all, it wasn't made clear to me which box was mine so I had to hunt it down because they aren't clearly labeled. You are constantly receiving other people's mail because even the mail carrier can't figure it out. The package lockers are shared and during the holidays especially, people take packages that aren't theirs. The price: IF YOU CHOOSE THIS AS THE PLACE YOU THINK YOU WANT TO LIVE, I SWEAR TO YOU THE PRICE IS NOT WORTH IT!!! For a 3 bedroom, it was about $2300 when we moved in, for a 15 month lease. They were going to charge us an extra $240 ish if we renewed our lease. The homes are now going for $2700 a month. All in all, I don't recommend living in this place. For the amount of money it costs, it isn't worth it. read more

One of the women in the office and her partner moved in a couple months ago. Since then, the arguments, yelling, and fighting have not stopped. It one time got to the point I had to yell that I was going to call the police if they didn't stop. You would think that since this is also your workplace you would be a little bit more professional. It's ok. The facilities and apartments are good. However, somethings I've noticed after six months. The kitchen cabinetry is extraordinarily cheap. Cannot use the trash pull out drawer because the hardware inside is not designed for utility. The management is so overwhelmed by the amount of people moving in with all of the new construction they seem overworked. I have read all the reviews positive and negative and I highly disagree with the negative reviews!!! I don't think they are being fair with this beautiful apartment complex. I've been a property manager myself for over 12 years back in California and moved here two years ago. My husband and I are very picky when it comes to apartment complex living. We were looking for a brand new beautiful luxurious living apartment, quiet, and great management. My knowledge and experience over the years helped me identify the right home very quickly. I was looking to live in South Reno because this is the best area to leave. I searched the entire South Reno and found four decent apartment complex, and of course Harvest at Damonte Ranch was the best from all of them. The apartment complex it is absolutely beautiful from all the amenities to the interior of the apartments and management. It is very important to have a great manager in order to keep residents happy in such big community. Lauren is doing a fantastic job with all the community events and creativity that she creates in a daily basis. She keeps you up-to-date daily with any activity that is going on the property. I highly recommend this apartment complex to anyone that is looking to live in South Reno, feel free to stop your search and come and live here because you'll be more than satisfied with everything. When I see reviews from other people saying that there are noises in between apartments it makes me laugh! You are living in an apartment complex!!!! It is normal to hear noises there and there. If you don't want to hear any noises and you're looking for a quiet home I suggest you rent yourself a private home. Any other apartment complex will have some sort of noise because it it is normal. Harvest has many apartments to choose from and many of them are super quiet. I have never experience any sort of noise in my home. It's a very dog friendly community, though some residents aren't responsible dog owners and leave dog poo or let their dogs off lead, most are pleasant and respectful. The facilities (gym, package lockers, pool, etc.) are always clean and in working order. Fair warning, the water pressure is awful and taking a shower here isn't the greatest. The complex is close to the park and preserve trail, which has been wonderful. The staff is helpful and kind, shout-out to Lauren the apartment manager and Sergio. Even maintenance says good morning everyday when I'm walking my dog. The garages are tiny, think barely getting an SUV in there tiny but if you had a smaller car this might not be an issue. It is walking distance from Starbucks and (soon) Safeway. Quiet. Clean. Overall pleasant...but that water pressure.... read more

I visited and did a tour with a friend and it was all show and no substance. BEWARE! Loud noises in corridors echo into apartment and I could hear a neighbors tv show. I also saw a few ants in one room. I would recommend you talk to other residents about their experience before you lease with this management. I'll pass... Lots of promises and "how grat the features are reminds me of a used car salesman, all show and no substance. And the price for this complex is too high for the quality of the "luxury" apartment (their word). UPDATE: Corridors... those walking paths between buildings that echo very loudly; looked like less than 8 feet of distance between windows on your buildings. Corridor is defined as a "long, narrow passageway". You have lots of these. read more

Here is the bottom line. Harvest at Damonte Ranch is run exceptionally well, is an amazing place to live and has all of the amenities one could ask for in an apartment community. I strongly recommend to anyone looking to rent in the South Reno area to rent here. You will not be disappointed. The gentleman who runs Harvest (Davery) is top show as are all of the employees who work here. The pools are clean, the fitness rooms have terrific cardio and weightlifting equipment and if you have dogs (I did not), this is a very dog-friendly community. You are also right next to a park with walking trails, there are plenty of bbq's for those (like myself) who like to bbq and in general, people living here are very respectful of others. This​ is the perfect reminder that "you get what you pay for" doesn't always apply. Don't get me wrong, the complex looks great. The problem I have is two-fold​. Apartments​ have virtually no isolation between the floors. Combine this with children running, aerobics​, and generally inconsiderate neighbors and you have a less than ideal living situation. I have only been here a few months​ and thought I would get used to it, but it is LOUD. I chose a downstairs unit (I'm older and didn't want to deal with stairs). Don't make this mistake. It is, indeed, very loud and if you have noisy neighbors, you are truly living at the mercy of their whims. I have never experienced such thunderous noise carrying from neighbors and I have lived in the loudest city with crazy people. But this place beats the noise. As a current resident.. This property is after nothing but your money. They will give you random charges without any communication whatsoever as to what the charges are for, and they have no explanation. When I asked they made up a charge that I had already paid upon move in. The entire front office staff lacks professionalism beyond what I've ever experienced, same goes for their communication. The value of the property isn't worth the amount they charge per month with people racing cars up and down veterans pkwy at all hours of the night. I would highly recommend not considering this as your new home. There is much better places at much more reasonable prices. read more

Great place to live and helpful staff. The apartments are great and it's wonderful having a grill a short walk from your condo. No other community has grills scattered all over. They only have one central area. Harvest also has big grill areas for entertaining. There is a dog park complete with washing station, a garden to grow your own veggies. The all season pool is large with plenty of furniture so you never have to wait or go home disappointed. The gym is great, now I get my trainer to come to me. We lived at in a spacious two-bedroom apartment for almost two years. The staff went above and beyond every day. Our few service requests were completed in a timely manner and always with a smile. The amenities were consistently clean and available. We enjoyed many evenings grilling and eating outside near the gas fire pits with friends. The Harvest at Damonte Ranch have handled the covid situation with stride, opening as soon and as safely as possible. Lauren, the general manager, made an accommodation regarding a complication with our dog before we moved in and made the transition from The Harvest to our new home effortless. If your new to the area of Reno, South Reno, IS the area to be! My experience with Harvest started when I was living back home in Detroit and trying to search for places to live. With one phone call I heard the most energetic and professional voice on the other end. The voice belongs to a man named J.C. I was now excited to visit Harvest and he was the reason. From the very first phone call he was honest and true to answering all my questions about the area. I felt a sense of calm, which I hadn't felt in a while because I was moving across country, that was a stressful event all on its own. Fast forward to the actual viewing and visit to Harvest. The minute I walked into the leasing office I knew immediately who J.C. was. He has a large but yet controlled personality which makes him a super host and very approachable. His smile and laugh can fill up a room, that to me is comfort. I never felt once that he was trying to make a sale, but in fact being genuine with his words. Every single suggestion that was given to me from J.C. was spot on. I trust in him. In fact the whole entire office is has IT together. I truly enjoy my strolls through the office. The staff always stops to chit chat with me. We have great conversations with many other residents too. People kinda just flow together here. I adore the whole entire staff and maintenance crew. I feel safe and at home especially since my whole other family is not here with me! It's almost as if your living on vacation. The Harvest is a super gorgeous place to live. I visited this property from out of state and fell in love! We moved in 2 weeks later and it was absolutely the best thing we have ever done. Not only is the property amazing, the staff is incredible! My kids have adjusted well to the new environment and the school district couldn't have been better. I love that there is so much to do on property as well as the surrounding areas parks, and outdoor life. The units are brand new and beautiful. I simply love our new home. read more

We are very particular, so we hoped to find something brand new and high quality in this area for a rental; we found that at Harvest at Damonte Ranch. The residences are called "apartments", however they are more like condominiums and townhomes - very nice quality, design, and finishes. Everyone who works here is friendly, helpful, courteous, and professional in every way, and each of them makes you feel welcome and at home. Whether working with the leasing personnel or those who take care of details and repairs, you will not be disappointed at the high level of customer service here. They are thorough, quick to respond, and efficient. The location and amenities are very good, too, and the property is kept in beautiful condition.
