We had Harvest Kitchen cater our 120 person wedding in Palm Springs this past weekend. When we first chose Harvest Kitchen, we did so based on a combination of pricing, reviews, and the thoughtfulness that Samantha displayed during our conversations (there were certain ideas that we had that in retrospect made no sense, and Samantha/Harvest were the only people that actually told us so! In a very kind manner). My husband and I are bi-coastal so we couldn't easily do a tasting before making the decision so we went based on gut + trust of reviews! We are so glad we did! The whole process with Harvest was extremely smooth. The tasting was super helpful in refining our menu, their information request was very straightforward, and on the day of everything went seamlessly. Harvest Kitchen Catering was one of the vendors at an event I attended back in February. They offered chicken + waffle cones, savory sundaes, and bbq biscuit sliders as part of their menu offerings. I really liked the presentation of their food. The chicken was inside a tiny waffle cone, so it was really cute and fun to eat. The savory sundaes had braised beef, winter root mash, crispy brussels, horseradish cream, and pickled red onion. This dish was very flavorful! Samantha and the Harvest Kitchen team provided absolutely impeccable food and service at our wedding cocktail hour and reception. Their recommended hors d'œuvres were absolutely on point, and the dinner itself exceeded our already high expectations. We so appreciated their flawlessly realizing our minor adjustments to suit everyone's tastes. When the dishes arrived at our sweetheart table, we were blown away, not only by how delicious and perfectly cooked everything was, but especially by the gorgeous plating and presentations, which were above and beyond. We'd also like to give a special shoutout to Jade. While this was probably just another weekend working a wedding for her, she made us feel like royalty, anticipating our every need. When we arrived late to the cocktail hour ravenous after the ceremony and photos, she had a plate of hot appetizers ready and waiting for us, and discreetly took our cocktail requests right away. Food was pretty important to us as we've been to so many weddings with typical wedding food and we really wanted the menu to stand out. We tried four different catering companies and knew right away Harvest Kitchen was the one. They use sustainable and local ingrediants and the flavors were amazing!! Their setup also went really well with our decor. Samantha was incredibly helpful through the process. We had a grazing table for cocktail hour and for dinner, we chose a salad, Mediterrnean pasta, golden mash, broccolini with Romesco sauce, braised beef, and herb chicken. Harvest Kitchen is in the regrettable position of taking over the recently departed "Eat at Recess" food truck slot here at Eastgate Mall. Eat at Recess was UTC's top food truck based on price, quality, and long lines. So how was Harvest Kitchen's first day? I ordered the beet burger ( Beet patty, pickled vegetables, vegan herbed dressing (Tartar sauce like), lettuce, and gluten free sourdough bread). First and foremost, this sandwich could be compared to a tea sandwich in size. It's slightly longer than half of a plastic fork. The price however at 8.50 is expensive compared to other trucks that visit this tech campus. Many times, those other trucks include a side too. I love all things beet, so naturally when I saw this offered I jumped at the chance to try it. To me, this was a Vegan Reuben sandwich. The bread ( seemed like Rye, not sourdough), the pickled veg, the sloppiness of the white sauce... I also didn't care for cooked lettuce inside. I would not order this again. I do appreciate the effort in bringing something like this to market, it's just not priced right. Not at this tech campus anyway. I'm curious to read what other reviewers from this location think. It sucks for Harvest that they're replacing a Food Truck Legend. read more

I was subsisting on protein bars and "pad Thai" kale/kelp salads but I just wanted something heartier throughout the weekend of music, dancing, drinking, yoga & talks. I finally was able to track down Harvest Kitchen next to the Woogie Stage! Ordered their Paleo Bowl (sweet potato hash, kale, veggies, salsa and avocado): I paid extra for grilled chicken and bacon but it was worth it! Paleo usually has a bad rep but Harvest Kitchen knocked it out if the park. Perfect balance of flavors - I don't usually like sweet potato but it was lovely in this bowl as a base. They cater! This review is based on them catering a company event on 3/23/15 WOW. they have catering down to a science. They had everything placed and lined up buffet style. They leave you alone so you can do things yourself. They have fresh healthy, tasty things to eat. I am more than impressed. I ate a naked hamburger (no bun) and the burger was cooked and lightly seasoned. So delicious. I also got a little bit of salad, too.. It was delicious mixed greens with a few wonderful baked beets with a light barely there dressing. I couldn't be happier with my delicious light meal -ON location- gotta love a GOOD light lunch. Harvest Kitchen catered our wedding at Rimrock Ranch in Pioneertown, CA on 3/16/19 and we loved everything about them! We chose to have 3 appetizers for our cocktail hour: Mini chicken empanadas, fried chicken wrapped in a pancake, and the Farm Fresh board with cheeses, dried fruit, crackers, etc that was not only delicious, but also beautiful. After the appetizers, they provided a salad served family style at the tables, then the food truck opened up for dinner shortly after. Our dinner consisted of 3 different style sliders- chicken, beef/burger, and a beet slider for our vegan guests! We also had street tacos including chicken, carnitas, and a cauliflower taco (also vegan and all tacos are GF, they are very aware of food allergies/sensitivities), which were all delicious. Our sides were Mac n' cheese with baby broccoli and sweet potato chips which were a favorite of many. We chose 2 bite sized desserts which were s'mores bites and a Rosemary shortbread cookie with raspberry lemon curd. I believe there were no desserts left at all! We also chose to have water, coffee, and hot tea stations which really ended everything perfectly as it did get chilly at our venue. The servers also continuously served waters for our guests throughout dinner as well! On top of all of this, the customer service we received was the best I could have imagined. My communication was primarily with Samantha Shrigley who was AMAZING through every step of this process. She is professional, efficient, and flexible; she was willing to go the extra mile for any change or request I had, and had the most positive, friendly demeanor. She had gone on a short vacation at one point, but I was never left out of contact. In fact, the owner David Holtze was the one to remain in contact with me and helped me through a tough decision, and he is truly awesome. We were fortunate enough to meet both Samantha and David at our food tasting at their location in the San Diego area, which was a wonderful experience. We also met the head chef and a couple of the interns they hire from local schools in the area (very cool)! The price was more than reasonable for all of the services we received. Food was one thing we did not want to go cheap on, and I'm so glad we made this choice. We were originally going to go with only a "taco man" style caterer and although that would have been cheaper, we wouldn't have had the experience Harvest Kitchen gave to us and our guests. There were 3 chefs and 6 servers on site. They also provided us produce for our bar last minute for a very good price, too. There are so many more options they provide than what we chose, just contact Sam and she will give you all of the information :) Harvest Kitchen helped make our entire day more amazing than I could have imagined! I will never forget our wedding, but the food and service they provided was most definitely a major highlight. Food makes people happy, but our guests were over the moon!!
