A short drive from the airport and you'll arrive here. A very convenient location, staff members were on point and friendly, and the atmosphere was casual. By and large the food is tasty. We hardly ever order the soups as they only rotate a few times a year and we haven't found one yet that is tasty and filling enough to warrant the exorbitant price. Having said that, all of their food is disproportionately priced, in comparison to what one actually gets for their money. Recently we ordered one Harvest Moon salad with no added protein and one of the turkey sandwich options and the order came to over $30! That's just gouging the public. The sandwich was so mangled when we opened it that we had to eat it with a fork, which isn't the worst thing, but when you pay that much for a sandwich, it should be packaged neatly and not look like it's been thrown against the wall when you open it. We got our two food items "to go" and it came in a brown paper bag that was far too large for the order, which is a complete waste of paper and money and was unnecessary. They need to trim their prices a bit, package more appropriately and make sure that sandwiches are not completely mangled when wrapped. Will think twice before ordering another lunch there. read more

Was very pleasantly surprised, this place is fantastic. We stopped by on our way into Bangor, and it was so good we had to stop by again before we left. I got the "steak me home tonight." Service was friendly, and the inside ambiance was nice and clean. If you dont care about so so service and overpriced sandwiches then come on down. I gave this place four tries because I wanted to make sure my brief experiences were based on a fair judgement before writing a review. When you enter the clean looking store you are greeted with packaged snacks, home made cuts of cake and deli offerings behind a brightly lit glass.....then you are greeted by the "joyful" young ladies who take your order and I get the feeling their promptness w my order is escalated by their desire to get me and my coworker iut the door. At first it seemed like maybe they were cold due to us being unfamiliar to them, lets face it, you dont see many faces like ours in the area but damn Ive spent money in there 4 times and its the same lackluster uncomfortable atmosphere when I walk in. Today I came in and it was more of the same but when I was rang up for two basic heros (turkey, cheese, mayo) and a large coffee coming up to nearly $25! that's just too damn much. The young lady asked if I wanted a receipt and then walked away to help someone else without ever giving me my receipt so i dont know if she added some premimum mayonaise or something for the order to be so high but when you are charging almost Katz Deli pricea w subpar customer service you have lost me Eta: the heroes werent bought for me, my coworkers said they were good and my ither coworker thinks his bagel order was put on mine. On the way home from Canada to York Me and was looking for a good sandwich shop and took a chance on Harvest Moon Deli in Bangor, Me. Read all good reviews on yelp. Got there right before the lunch rush. Not going to lie to you but the outside looked a little sketchy at the end of a small strip mall. Took a chance and glad we did! It was a small (2booths) funky vibe inside records, and guitars and rock posters on the wall realizing the food names were based on songs. I got the "Breaking the slaw" panini. Roasted turkey swiss homemade cole slaw with 1000 island dressing on rye and it was delicious! My husband got the garden salad which was fresh and with carrots cucumbers tomato croutons etc. we always share our meals but we're wishing we had our own check out the menu the names of the sandwiches are catchy. Soup, sandwiches, and salads are my go-to when I just want a simple meal! Panera Bread was basically my second home for a while. But with no Panera Bread anywhere nearby, I decided to give Harvest Moon a chance. They deliver so I ordered the "Jefferson Airplane" sandwich and a "Broccoli Cheddar" Soup. Both left much to be desired. The sandwich had so many promising ingredients, that I expected it to be flavor packed, but instead, it was dry and stale. The soup was not great. There were big chunks of broccoli, and again, the entire thing lacked flavor. read more

Little kid(assistant manager) wanted to argue about why we had to wait in the parking lot for a half hour while waiting for our order claiming they were "busy". You weren't busy, I watched you serve two customers while I was in your parking lot for 30 minutes, spare me the BS. Get some management in there. read more
