Went for Easter breakfast this morning, food was great, it after 2:00 and I'm still full. My wife is celiac and they have lots for her there, they have even perfected the gluten free pancake, she is SO thrilled! Way to go guys! read more

I am so sad to be writing this because a few years ago i was in love wih this place, i told all my friends about it; I've gone for first dates here several times... but recently it has gone down-hill. I am sitting here right now writing this that's how fed up I am. Their service is not what is used to be, it is a flat out joke. A few days ago I brought my mother here for lunch and we were told to take a menu and pick a table. Then we waited but nobody came to take our order so I finally went to the counter to place out orders which included 2 lattes. It was a slower day and there were only maybe 5 customers and there were two employees working. Anyways, we waited a while for the food which didnt disappoint, its always amazing! But the lattes werent brought out. The barista forgot to make them... really? 5 customers in the whole place and you forgot? She was roo busy wih her nose down counting receipts or something i guess. My mother was brougt a dirty spoon with her meal. Then i watched a customer stand at the customer wait 5 mins. before he was seen by neither (same) barista; still looking at receipts nor the young man who was too busy cleaning all the tables... apparently she has also forgotten to make HIS coffee. She appologized again to him and he seemed chill about it, but ny now i was noticing a pattern. A few days later; here I sit, after ordering a cappuccino from the same Barista, went and had a seat, she told me they would call the order out. After several minutes had passed I went up to inquire and she apologized as she has forgotten to "write it down" and make it again!!! By now I'm beyond annoyed at the lack of service by this barista and when they finally handed me the cappuccino i ordered they just gave me a straight cup without the saucer its normally served with. Also i should add that they don't provide a sugar substitute at all at this place, she offered to pump in some sugar free vanilla syrup, which I accepted but COME ON GUYS! How do you honestly expect to run a successful cafe and cut all these corners like this? I am so sad because his is my favorite place toneat in chilliwack but I will not be returning and neither will my family and friends after I send them this review. I would like to see the management step it up and restore this adorable little place to its former glory, until then I'll have to find another place I guess. Ps: I dont know the barista's name but shes the girl wih long hair with beads/dread lock look. Nice but clearly uninterested in providing service. read more

Ordered the classic bennie and asked if I could get just one egg and she said yes. Asked if the cost would be less than two eggs and she said no. Strange!! So I got two eggs. The yolks were overdone which was too bad. My friend had scrambled eggs and she said they were tasteless. Some of her bacon had to be sent as they were partially raw. We keep trying to love this place. Their coffee and food are pretty good. The biggest downside of this place is their management. They can't decide if they want to be a cafe or a restaurant, and as a result the service and the quality of the experience suffers. When they first opened, the kitchen was very slow and the quality of food was lacking. After many years, the food quality is more consistent, but the kitchen is still slow and there seems to be a lot of confusion between the front staff and the food staff. I want to like this place, and I want to support local businesses, but their poorly managed operations make it difficult. If you don't mind waiting a very long time for your food and not being able to find a spot, while unclaimed "reserved" tables sit open for over an hour, this is the place for you. We're still waiting for a decent brunch spot in Chilliwack. read more

Amazing food and friendly service! Not a lot of seating if you want to brunch with a larger group, but perfect for a small group. Ingredients were fresh with gluten free and dairy free options. Also had the option of upgrading to a farm fresh egg (would be nicer if everything just had the farm fresh eggs already). Excellent selection of baked goods! We stopped in late in the afternoon on our way home to grab treats for the road and the selection was still good, and still fresh! Excellent London Fog, OK Americano. Waited 20 min for a salad that came out saturated in dressing, inedible. Staff were young and reluctantly helpful. First and last visit. Might be a good coffee shop but don't go if you're hungry. read more

Had a delicious sandwich, ordered an ice water and was pointed to an area where the coffee fixins were, one tiny plastic glass sitting on a tray with a bottle of room-temperature water; the bottle was weird, I had to hold the top open to pour, how many other hands have touched that today? The floor is disgusting-looking, looks like the old tiles were scraped off and left as is, and it was super sticky. I sat by the window and the wooden ledge is wet and mouldy-looking. The table was even sticky. I would like to go again to try more yummy food but was kind of grossed out at the lack of cleanliness. I think this is a nice little place for downtown Chilliwack but needs a good clean. read more

food was ok. two salads, one POuTine, a breakfast POuTine, a chicken wrap and fries, a coffee and a tea. 62 dollars and change. I asked for a small salad but she carried on writing without saying they dont do small--so didnt tell me the sizes and there is no menu, it's on the wall with poor lighting and dark lettering so could barely read it. There is a line up so u feel rushed to make a decision, no pictures of the dishes. no reference to the size of portions(salad). I may go back and try again, not sure yet. read more

Had high hopes. Such a cool spot with food that looks amazing. Service was lacking. Disinterested staff. Went for brunch for Mother's Day and it was well below the experience I was hoping for. I felt nickel and dimed having to ask for everything. How many ketchups how many hot sauces how many extra napkins? The food was average. I had eggs Benedict. The focaccia bread it was served on added flavour but was soggy. And I had to return my eggs because I had ordered them soft and they came out hard. Which they did without hassle. The fruit cup that I opted for in replace of the hash browns was yummy fresh kiwi pineapple and strawberries but not worth the extra $3. My partner had the pancakes and they were also average out of the box style. But. My biggest complaint and what I find to be ridiculous is the drip coffee (that tastes like dirty water) isn't refillable. What?? The latte my partner had tasted burnt. Won't be returning. Not even to try the rest of their menu or what looks like amazing baked goods. read more
