November 4, 2023 we visited Harvey's. We were in town and a family member suggested she wanted us to try Harvey's because their food is so good. We went around 5:41pm and was told it would be about 1 hour to 1 hour and a half wait so we waited. We were seated at 7:01. We had a party of 9. Once we were seated the waitress came to get our drink/appetizer orders. It took so long we wanted to place our entree's as well. We were told we had to wait until we get our appetizers. Once we placed our entree orders everything was good. The waitress were good until she got another table. She couldn't remember to bring the condiments for the burger, forgot to bring plastic utensils and slacking on the refills. The food was good but the service was lacking. I had broccoli bites, delta chicken and a salad with coca-cola. My nephew said the prime-rib sandwich and he said it was delicious. My sister has the burger it was juicy and delicious. 4 people had the shrimp/grits they kept saying it was so good. 2 people had the tenders and they were ok. I would give them another try and would recommend this place. Be prepared for a wait if it's a Saturday evening/night. Parking was convenient. The bathroom was clean. read more

Ok we had a party of seven. A chicken order was liked. 2 prime rib subs were over cooked and very fatty. They were out of the fish of the day trout. So salmon was ordered. It was ok. Nothing to write home about. 2 ny strip were ordered to the restaurants defense neither person read that their steaks are marinated. They weren't enjoyedby either person. My prime rib was a tad overdone and just wasn't a buttery cut of meat like I make at home or have had out.what I was very surprised about was the cost of each and the minimal size of meats. Longhorn at least gives to larger cuts of meat. The ceasar salad was good. The the cheddar jalapeño grits were too very done not smooth and creamy. The artichoke dip I enjoyed. As were the mozzarella sticks I believe everyone agreed were the highlight of the entire dinner. The creamy chicken noodle soup. Well not anything to write home about. Seemed as though the cheese was an after thought. Like maybe they had regular chicken noodle soup the night before. Had leftovers and decided to throw in some cheese or a roux. Two in our party who alway finish their baked potato. Didn't even finish that. The Mac and cheese was dry. . That was noted by all 3 who ate that. Not 1 finished. So to say it again. The chicken was enjoyed alot. The mozzarella sticks were enjoyed by all. The ceaser salad was enjoyed. But the one thing we all ageed upon was our server who's name was Shelby M. Was a very polite and kind person. Who did not keep anyone without tea my unsweet. She was extremely proffessional and always smiled. I wish I could gave more stars just for the young lady. To which none was her fault. I usually give a three strikes your out rule to restaurants. But at that price. I can't afford to drop that kind of money to get what I believe would be a similar out come. Alot of it really boils down to our meat eaters want a nice thick steak. Finally made a reservation so we could get in without a 45 minute ~ hour wait and we were so glad we did! We arrived about 5 minutes before our reservation and were promptly seated. The shrimp and grits was amazing & simply bursting with flavor even if the shrimp was just a bit tough & chewy (as non-fresh that day from the water shrimp usually is). Thoroughly enjoyed the grits, veggie & sauce to the extent that the frozen shrimp didn't really matter. My spouse had the prime rib sandwich which she ate without the sub roll. The prime rib was thick, appropriately medium rare and very flavorful. She described the meat as so tender you almost didn't need to chew it at all. ( skipping the bun/roll was not a comment on its quality; she just wanted a small serving of prime rib). Service was attentive & professional. The bread pudding detracted from the excellence of the meal and is the only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars. The bread pudding was pretty much tasteless except for a small amount of some kind of very sugary glaze. Even the vanilla ice cream failed to resurrect this sauce less, tasteless slab. I'm a fanatic about good bread pudding but this wasn't it. Next time we'll skip the desert and just enjoy the entree! read more

Very dissatisfied. This restaurant use to be one of my favorites. It has really changed. We went for dinner. The marinated steak had no flavor and was tough. The Shrimp and Crab Pasta should be called Bellpepper Pasta. Because that is the only thing I am sure was on my plate pasta and Bellpepper. Our server was very nice but the ladies who brought food to table were very rude. She basic had a take it or leave it attitude when I asked about my pasta.
