Food pretty good. Not excellent, but above average. I made a reservation under yelp, and I would suggest doing otherwise. You commit to a 20% tip regardless of service when you make a reservation. My reservation was during the week when many tables were readily available. Would I go back? I still rank Blue Canoe as my favorite overall. So, it's a probable "no" since they were deceptive with their tipping and their "$2.00" extra wine pours. If you want the extra pour you must decide before you even get to try the wine. Really?! Once again, false marketing. Serves a restaurant in the short term, but kills a restaurant long term. Overall, reflects poor management. read more

We were a party of 6 visiting the Tupelo area for the first time to celebrate our son's birthday. We made reservations on Yelp for 5:30 and were thankful; when we left at 6:40 there was quite a wait. The outside made me question by decision, but upon entering, we were very surprised at how beautifully decorated it is. Fantastic ambiance. Even though there were plenty of people seated around us, we could still easily hear each other. We started with the pimento cheese crawfish dip; my husband and I enjoyed it immensely. Those who got salad cleaned their plates, and the two of us who got the creamy chicken noodle said it was the best we'd ever had. The honey salmon was fantastic--moist, flaky...perfectly paired with asparagus. The macaroni and cheese was perfect--worth the splurge on calories. Chicken tenders were fresh and homemade. My son's blackened catfish was almost gone before the prayer was said. My husband had the ribeye and said it was overrated; he'd get the salmon or blackened catfish if he had it to do over again. We had intended to get a dessert, but we were all going into a comatose state by the time we were finished. We left with to-go boxes and all said we'd love to come back again. When you think of fancy in Tupelo, you generally think of Harvey's! Right when you enter you're knocked out by how stunning the decor is. It is VERY lux in here, and the food totally matches. They make their dressings in house and the food is delicious! My personal favorite is the seafood pasta. The only negative I will say is that I have never been blown away by their steaks. You're better off going for something else on their menu (their delta chicken is to die for). Make sure to follow up with their delicious brown butter cake!! From the hostess, to the waitress, to the food, to the wine selection, everything was amazing! And at the end, it really wasn't much more expensive than any chain. And did I mention the ambience? I think I've already memorized the menu, but their fish dishes are great from salmon to blackened catfish with the cheesy jalapeño grits. Steaks, ribeye and filet are excellent, friends got the prime rib, Delta chicken, steak/prime rib sandwich, shrimp and grits. Their salads are awesome too (Asian Chicken is my fav). I've dined at Harvey's many times and have never had a bad experience. Starting with the fried mushrooms and ending with the prime rib. The bartender was friendly and our waitress was knowledgeable about the menu and answered everything well. You won't find a better place to eat in Tupelo. I'll be going back again soon. read more

Let me start off by saying that our server was awesome! The food, however, was less than awesome. We have been patrons of Harvey's for many many years. We Have always loved it and have had absolutely no complaints . But this particular night we ordered a marinated steak,Medium,and I got an unflavored steak that was well done. We have always loved the broccoli bites but this particular evening they were different somehow! Little bit mushy not as crisp didn't taste quite right. Then I got a dessert which was burnt! I actually ended up throwing it in the garbage. I was unaware that it was burned because I got it to go. I'm really hoping that the powers that be see this review and fix things. I truly believe this is no ones fault other than the chef's or cook's. I would like to return, but at this point it doesn't look promising. read more

Bottom line: The food is good, the service and food handling process is awful. We have eaten at Harveys many times. The service inside is spotty but the pick up order process is terrible. We ordered 4 prime rib dinners online. The pick up line was out to the road when we arrived. My husband found a spot to double park & I went inside. I was directed to a small area beside the bar that had half a dozen delivery service drivers hanging out. Containers of food were spread all over the counter - not refrigerated, not kept in a warmer - and there was no sign of any employee. It was a dirty, messy environment & definitely not what restaurant management would want a customer to see. I went to the bar to ask for help & the bartender had no idea why the pick up area was unstaffed. Finally, an employee came in from outside. She was the only person handling pick up orders, including orders for Door Dash. My order was sitting on the counter & I would have bagged it myself & left except it was missing 2 salads. When the salads arrived she put all 4 orders in 1 paper bag, shoving the sides & salads on their side to fit in. I re-bagged it so that the sides wouldn't leak out. I'm appalled at how food was left out to spoil or be tampered with. I'm appalled management put one employee in the position of trying to serve an unreasonable number of customers. A manager should have been ensuring food was stored safely in a clean environment and he should have been helping her serve customers. The restaurant was not full - no wait line. The bar was almost empty. No excuse for the chaos. read more

We ate at Harvey's Tupelo tonight and it was exceptional. Our waitress, Sarah, was one of the best we've ever had -anywhere. She was friendly, kind and very attentive. My husband had the shrimp & grits while I had the prime rib sandwich, both delicious but the show stopper was the chocolate pie. AMAZING. I hope this will become a regular menu item. read more

My bride and I came to Tupelo to do some Christmas shopping and stopped by Harveys for dinner. We made a reservation as we were heading to Tupelo and had no issues as we were dining early. We arrived and were seated and immediately waited on. Ordered some wine and checked out the menu. We ordered fried mushrooms and the serving was huge. Easily enough for four. They came out piping hot and delicious. Next was the salad and then the steaks. I ordered the ribeye with pineapple and a couple shrimp. Susan had another ribeye. My steak was perfectly cooked to order and the flavor was good. The loaded baked potato was delicious. Susan's ribeye was a little thin but large portion. The flavor was very good. Susan had the mashed potatoes with her ribeye and they were very tasty. We will definitely be back and are planning on trying the prime rib as it looked delicious. read more

I drive through Tupelo frequently, but don't stop and visit all that often. By chance my wife and I decided to grab an early dinner at Harvey's and I'm so glad we did. The ambience here is classy-casual, so pretty much no matter how you're dressed you'll be fine. There is both table and booth seating, so we grabbed a booth. Wait staff was genuinely friendly and very attentive. And the food was awesome. I had the blackened catfish served over cheese grits and topped with collared greens, and it was absolutely perfect. Add a sweet tea and some Mississippi mud cake topped with ice cream and peaches for desert...and I was in my deep-south heaven. My only suggestion would be to get there early. They get busy, and there's good reason for that. read more

Connie, our server, was prompt and so friendly. We explained how the restaurant was recommended, especially the soup. The manager, Patrick, stopped by our table to welcome us in. We had the artichoke dip appetizer the salmon salad and the prime rib sandwich. I wish I had room for the butter cake dessert. It sounded decadent! Connie told us the lighting sculpture over the dining room. It is two arches from a church in Houston. It has oversized light bulbs that add to the design. Connie is the best server. We got really lucky with Harvey's. Got into town late and found Harvey's online, We showed up 50 minutes to close and got great seating for four. Our server was extremely friendly and very helpful. The ambience of this place is 5 stars. But the best thing was the food. The steak I had was cooked perfectly and my family's meals were equally exceptional.
