This a counter service restaurant, so once we paid we were fortunate to grab a table with only two available inside. Our food arrived about 10 minutes later. My Greek salad was fabulous, fresh tasting, crunch of the cucumbers, brine of the Kalamata olives and the Feta salty funk. The gyro portion on my salad was generous. Add to this seldom-seen delights like foul medamas (fava-bean soup), four variants of ghallabah (grilled meats or seafood), chack-chouka/shakshuka (eggs poached in tomatoes and onions), and two types of pita baked on premises and served from the oven--all in generous portions and at reasonable prices--and it's worth the drive wherever you are in Phoenix and environs. The bread was ok, but they only gave us 3 pieces of pita bread which were about the size of a sand dollar. This was not enough bread for 2 people with 3 dips. Also, the fries were the kind of fries you get when it looks like they haven't cleaned the grease in a while. The babaganoush was really good. But everything else was pretty mediocre. I've been here 3 or 4 times and everytime I feel as though the service is bad and the food is overpriced. It's really sad, but I want to like this place, but I can't. Also, they have a rewards program but my waitress didn't try to get me to sign up. I asked when I saw it. It's a pet peeve of mine.
