I specifically asked the waitress she assured me that what I was ordering was chicken. I asked several people in my party to try the meat because I was concerned it did not taste like chicken. They all believed it was pork, yet the waitress deny that it was pork. I brought the meal home and had someone else try it, and they also said it was pork. At that point, I called the restaurant and spoke directly with the manager. I explained exactly what had happened and, more importantly, explained that I have dietary restrictions and had specifically asked about the meat before eating it. What was most disturbing was the manager's complete lack of concern. There was no meaningful apology, no apparent concern about the fact that I may have been served something I specifically asked not to receive, and no effort to make the situation right. I even told him that, because of this experience, I would not be returning--and his response made it clear that he simply didn't care. Mistakes can happen at any restaurant. What matters is how a business responds when a customer brings a serious concern to its attention\. In this case, I was extremely disappointed by both the food and the complete lack of accountability and customer care. As a local resident I will not be returning and making this mistake again.
