My daughter and her boyfriend were turned away from her. They told them they were full and were not accepting walk-ins tonight. I have not eaten here so wasn't sure if reservations are required or not. I wouldn't think so but never know. So I parked and went into Hasta La Pasta about 5 minutes later and asked for a table for 2. They told me about a 20 minute wait. Needless to say I will never go there ever. Met some friends here for dinner as it was a middle point for us both. We had been here a couple of years ago and it was good back then plus service was really good. From the time we walked in the door to the time of pay our bill service was really lacking. We were seated in a corner by the bar and asked if we could move to another area but was told we had to stay there despite them not being busy at all. Waiter was not attentive at all. Didn't refill our glasses unless we asked for it. Had to ask for our check & then when he did ring up our bill he decided to stand there and converse with other employees rather than taking care of us. We definitely won't be going back. After reading the reviews and craving Italian food, I had to give this place a shot. After waiting 6 minutes just to be greeted, we ordered a bottle of wine. It took another 12 minutes to get the bottle of wine. When we finally got that, we placed the order for the main course at the same time. A house salad and a Caesar salad to start off with, and then ordered the Campagnola to be split. The chicken came out colder than Luke Warm. The server did not give good service so maybe it was sitting back there for quite some time. The manager came out and offered to remake it for us, but it was already 8 PM and I needed to get home to take care of more responsibilities. Picked up McDonalds on the way home. It wasn't that busy, yet the hostess decided to sit us right next to a table instead of sitting us at a table table that had more privacy. Ok, we love this place, but they took so long to open after the flood, but I went to the other one, once, not as good, but anyway, Valentine's day 2019 we decided to try it out for the first time since they reopened, we keep hearing from our Network of friends that it didn't return as good as before, so we decided to go for dessert.... Very surprised that at 6:30PM on Valentine's the place was half empty, we sat down right away, ordered a tiramisu and a coffee for each, ten minutes later waiter told us coffee was coming they made a fresh batch for us, the coffee finally arrived followed by the tiramisu and the coffee was lukewarm (you could stick your finger on it and not get burned, and I did just that) I questioned the waiter why it was not hot if it was "supposedly" fresh, she apologized and went back and brought us to more cups, this time it was hot, by now it's been about 30 minutes since we ordered coffee, I requested Splenda, but of course they don't carry Splenda I was told, on to the eating, The tiramisu is as good as always, best I've tasted anywhere in the Houston area, so I'm glad that didn't change, I recommend it highly. The only problem was that the to go tiramisu was 1/3 to 1/2 smaller than the one we ate there, yes for the same price, but at that point I just wanted to get out of there The coffee was drinkable nothing special. At the end I gave the waiter my credit card and asked her to add a tiramisú to go, she brought back my card and ticket for signing and said she would be right back with my tiramisu to go, ten minutes passed, not a sign of a wait with my tiramisú, at 13 minutes I had to go to the hostess station to ask then to find my waiter and more importantly my tiramisu so I can leave (restaurant still half full) by now my wife went to the car, finally at 15 minutes the hostess brings me my TIRAMISU, I asked her what happened, she blamed it on the kitchen bring backed up, with a half empty restaurant it takes that long for someone to place a slice of tiramisu on a to go box? Don't know what's going on with this place, but not the same, before the flood we visited all the time even had my son's entire wedding party dine in the private dining area, anyway we will return for lunch/dinner to give it a chance, hope we are not disappointed again. read more

Hasta la Pasta is a go to! From the friendly staff to amazing food and drinks, I always enjoy myself when I come. I have come with friends and family and they are always impressed by this place. Some of my favorite dishes are the Chicken Marsala, Ravioli Rosa and the Hasta La Pasta with shrimp. Their cocktails are also very refreshing and delicious. Unfortunately, my experience started off as A M A Z I N G, until larger tables came in and the waitress, Crystal, seemed to forget about me. When she first greeted me I asked for a water with NO ice, and hot tea with sugar and lemon. She brought out: ICE COLD water and my tea but forgot the lemon and sugar. As I await for her to take my order she approaches me, I begin my order with an appetizer and then she cuts me off and says, "is that your dinner?" I am not sure if she was being funny but I don't know anyone that comes to Hasta la Pasta and just orders a Spinach & Artichoke dip for dinner. She then goes to the computer puts in my appetizer order and assists her larger tables. I wait there patiently ... five minutes go by and I still have yet to receive my appetizer or see Crystal. She comes up and asked was I ready to order .. and then says "oh you haven't gotten your appetizer. I'll be right back!" She comes back with the dip and takes my order. I was planning on purchasing a bottle of Malbec ($24) to go with my classic combo meal, however, by the time she finally approached my table and realized I was missing my wine, she went to the back and grabbed it- I no longer had time, patience or an appetite for overly priced wine. It really upset me to see her make excuses the way she did. "I have 6 tables," "I got sidetracked." Please... save it. I waited patiently and was very understanding but do not disregard me as a customer! It's a pandemic, and I came out to support and enjoy a great meal with myself. I guess since it was just me she didn't take me as serious as her bigger tables. Either way. She excused her way out of a big tip and tab. I usually come here but I think I'll take a break for awhile. When I brought it to the manager on duty's attention, he made excuses too- and removed my $6 appetizer & $2 tea. Gee... thanks. I didn't tell him to receive compensation but more so a sincere apology and perhaps corrective behavior, but it seems like excuse making is a thing for this establishment. Hasta la Pasta is a must! We've been coming here for years. I love the ambience and food but the best part is the service! The staff is attentive, friendly, and gets it right every time. My personal favorite there is the shrimp piccata. I also love the tomato basil soup. Get it with croutons added! I've had their spaghetti and meatballs as well and enjoyed that as well. The bread and oil with herbs is on point. My hunny had the salmon Sicily and he enjoyed every bite. As far as dessert goes the carrot cake is amazing! Probably one of my favorite places to get carrot cake. My hunny loves their tiramisu so much that for his recent birthday we bought a whole pan of it instead of a birthday cake. i have not been to this restaurant for a long time,but my friends and i were deciding upon a spot for lunch,and we all agreed to try it again...my friends commented on how dark it was inside,as all the furniture is dark brown,the walls are beige,there are no pictures or italian themed things around,so although the sun was shining and they do have some windows,it seemed "dark"..the lunch menu is good but limited,and when i went there in the past they had a lunch special that was a margharita pizza,small, with a salad,which they no longer have..my friends had lasagna and a pasta dish with mussels and shrimp,both of which looked delicious..i had the emmas salad,which had a lot of chicken i will admit,but just a couple of cut in half stawberries ,peanuts on the bottom,kale and one slice of an orange..not as pictured online..the server was polite but slow to fill tea and water,and she didnt collect our signed receipts before we left the table,which i didnt like..i might go back again ,but as i said,the whole menu is different and more expensive than before,and decor inside is very stark and not so italian!possibly there is a new owner?? read more

Enjoyed a spectacular date night at Hasta la Pasta last night. White linen service , quiet ambience wrapped in family environment. Our waiter Bart was very attentive and knowledgeable. Upon arriving at our table we were greeted with warm bread along with tasty garlic and olive oil dip. We started our dinner with fried ravioli appetizer. Each ravioli was crispy, warm and delicious. Our entrees were lasagna with meat sauce and seafood puttanesca. Both plates were generous in size and presentation was delightful. Puttanesca had tons of seafood , rich in flavor. Lasagna was so creamy and filling. Our host Antoine checked on us several times throughout our meal. We will definitely be back for another wonderful experience. I'm giving only 1 star not because of the food but cause of the service. I called to order a simple pick up order for spaghetti and meatballs cause im on limited time on my lunch break. They make it seem so difficult, the lady that pick up the phone couldn't even take my order, she had to transfer over to the "pick up" and while on transfer I and to wait and hold what seemed like forever. I just hung up. I don't see why the lady that pick up can't just take the order. Why they gotta transfer me over, wasting my time they act like they're the administration, office building or something. Com on it's not that serious that ya have to "transfer me over". First time this weekend we decided to try somewhere new. So glad my husband chose this restaurant. Prices were so reasonable AND the service and food were EXCELLENT! My husband had the Hasta La Pasta creamy chicken plate and I had the lasagna with meat sauce. This is my new favorite place to have lasagna. The sauce was so incredible! Love this place.
