Hey Alan/Jeff, are you going out of business? We came here on a Friday night and asked to seated outside. After fifteen minutes of waiting we went to the bar and sat in. The bartender was the only one around for most of the evening. There was literally three tables occupied the whole hour and a half we were there. We are curious if they are going out of business. The beer cooler was empty and the basic wine choice they had was rancid tasting. We asked the bartender and he said it's summer and it's slow. I don't buy that. We walked to Raos Nextdoor and they were crowded. Gringos two doors down was also packed. Alan please put your eyes on your business. We have been patrons for years and we dont feel your presence here anymore. Bring back the amazing customer service, clean detail and prompt service. Bring back the life to your business. I will say the food is still tasty and the warm rolls are still delicious with your garlic dipping sauce. We had the Chicken picatta and my hubby had the meatballs and spaghetti. Unfortunately the sausage was overcooked. We can look past that. Hope your business survives. It's sad to see this decline. read more

This place really never disappoints! Hasta has such a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Our server made sure that we were comfortable and we received our food in a timely manner. The food, as always, was delicious: I had the Lobster Ravioli and a Caesar Salad. The Ravioli was especially delicious, and shredded cheese on top just adds to the flavor. Our interaction with the manager at Hasta La Pasta on Cypresswood was unfortunate and anything but professional. My husband and I were hosting our neighborhood dinner group of six couples this past Saturday, February 8, at one of our favorite restaurants. Three days prior we went in person to make the reservation. One of the main things we requested was to sit in a specific area that is quieter so we could have conversations within the group. We specifically did not want to sit near the restrooms. The person taking the reservation said this would be no problem and the table would be waiting for us. We reconfirmed the reservation Saturday afternoon by phone (it took six calls before someone answered). When we arrived our table was not ready, and we saw the area we wanted to sit in was occupied by smaller tables and diners. They offered us a table by the restrooms, which we declined. After a 10 to 15 minute wait they set up a table for us in one of the smaller enclosed rooms, along with another large group and two smaller groups. After we sat down it was obvious any conversation would be difficult as the noise level was quite high. At this point, I decided speaking to the manager was necessary. She listened with virtually no interest and it was clear she was not going to help. I told her I would be writing a review of our experience and only then did she react by asking "are you threatening me?", which she repeated twice. I said only if she perceived the writing of a review was a threat and I walked back to our table. The evening, thankfully, was salvaged by our waiter, Eric, who was outstanding. My husband had been wanting to go here for a pretty long time based on the name. We went for lunch and it was great. Lunch starts with bread and seasoned olive oil, yum! I got a caesar salad and my husband got the tomato basil bisque which was really tasty. As an entree I got the eggplant parmesan and my husband got the chicken marsala. He paid the upcharege for the fettucine alfredo, and I would do that next time. The service was friendly and efficient, and the owner was walking around checking on every table, to make sure they were having a good experience. I'm always a little worried when the husband picks a restaurant based on the name amusing him, but this place is great, and totally agree with him, how could you not want to eat at a place named Hasta la Pasta? read more

I gave this a five star because I think this place deserved it. On Monday, we weren't sure where we wanted to go, let alone what to eat. We all felt deflated and just wanted to have dinner delivered. My daughter perused her app and chose Hasta La Pasta. We checked their menus online, and to cut the story short, we were thrilled when it arrived at our door in 45 minutes. As we took the tubs of food neatly stacked out of the bag, it was still hot. We were 20 minutes away from their location. Finally, our first bite was amazing. We almost in unison almost sang the word "so delicious." This place is on #1 on our list for italian places to dine in. I can't wait to actually sit in their restaurant and enjoy the ambiance. The Italian food is really good from Hasta LA Pasta. Their service was okay and looked like it was not the servers fault. Hasta La Pasta's ambiance is cozy, with nice tables in separate rooms. We arrived at 11:45 am with a party of 12 and were seated by noon. We ordered at 12:30, but did not receive our food until 1:35. Other tables around us were served food and finished before we were served. When one of party questioned the manager, she was defensive and uncooperative. The waiter was impolite and sarcastic.My husband's Caesar salad had brown and wilted lettuce. My shrimp salad was very good , even though the grilled shrimp was warm and ideally should have been chilled in a salad. We don't plan to come back. read more

Hasta La Pasta used to be so good. Their food and service has gone down dramatically. It takes a while to get a server to your table, drinks and appetizers take another 15-20 minutes, and the restaurant isn't even packed. I typically get their chicken alfredo and add pesto which is delicious but the last few times have been disappointing. I tried their lasagna for the first time but it was overcooked and dry. They used to serve better bread, now it's your typical frozen roll, and their salads used to be fresh. Last few times my salad was wilted and freezer burned. We have been going to Hasta La Pasta for years, but had not gone in several months. We finally got back there last weekend and it was just as good as it always was. At our table, we had Perfect Portion, Chicken Marsala, Chicken Picatta, Chicken Parmigiana, and the Hasta La Pasta. It was all excellent - large portions and so tasty! Bart was our server and you can tell he has been doing it for a long time - he checks on you constantly and makes sure you have everything you need. Went in with wife and kids party of 5. A-lot of empty tables but had to wait a 30 mins wait. Wow no problem. Told hostess we'll be outside waiting since there was a group waiting in the waiting area. Went this past Sunday for lunch. Despite the restaurant not being very full the wait time was long for us to be greeted by the server, get our waters, and to order our food. The calamari was very good, you can tell it's fresh and the breading was very light and crispy. We also ordered the classic and Margherita pizza. Both were amazing!!! Okay. Yum! My husband and I came here today at 3:30 pm. The bread and olive oil is delicious. The bread was warm, soft in the middle and flaky on the outside. The olive oil was full of garlic and herbs. So delicious. We ordered the spinach and cheese fried ravioli for our starter. They were very good! A bit over fried, but nothing noticeable to taste there. The cheese on the inside was textured, much like ricotta (which is my guess for what it was). The were good, crispy, and not grossly oily. However, the SAUCE. holy moly the marinara sauce- yea I could have literally eaten this alone with a spoon. I soaked the raviolis in it and it was amazing. Unfortunately once I found the amazing-ness of the combo ravioli with the marinara sauce, they were gone and out of sight/ so I didn't get their photo! My husband ordered the house Hasta La Pasta dish and I got fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. The servings were very nice, we both had boxes to-go (my husband is 6'2 and 22 years old... so plenty to eat there). The house dish was meh to me. It didn't really taste like anything, but the bell peppers were cooked correctly, the chicken was very good, and the pasta and the sauce seemed "correct" I just personally didn't like the flavor. My husband liked it but said it was "meh". The fettuccine Alfredo was SO GOOD. Best one I've had other than fresh homemade. The chicken was not over cooked but had a nice seer on it, great flavor. The pasta had a firm bite and great flavor, no chewy gross noodles there! The sauce. Wow. at first I was surprised at how thin it was, and then i realized it was cut with pasta water. Gosh the flavor was so lovely. It wasn't incredibly gooey and chunky like I've had it at so many other places. Absolutely 5/5 stars on the sauce. We also got the tiramisu for desert- it was very good, light and fluffy and the chocolate was really good. I wish it was a little stronger with the coffee flavor but still really enjoyed it. Ohhh Hasta La Pasta what have you done to me.... I've seen this place time and time again and never stopped by. Well Valentine's Day was my day! I decided to grab a late lunch for my wife and I. I got their Hasta La Pasta with chicken and for my wife the Ravioli Rosa. If I could have licked my plate clean with out anyone judging me I would have! The pasta with the chicken and bell peppers were amazing! The ravioli, out of this world! And even the garlic bread, so warm and crispy! The staff were great! I've been ordering takeout from this place for a while now and it never disappoints -- both from third party delivery and directly at the restaurant. If you order to-go they'll bring the food out to your car in a promptly manner. The pasta is tastes very authentic. My go-to entree is the ravioli -- which you can get as cheese or spinach. It's smothered in a tomato based cream sauce. So delicious! They serve freshly baked bread and garlic olive oil with each meal, and I appreciate that. The pasta water could not have been salted. It was just bland. I had to season the dish with two different seasonings to add some flavor and it was still not satisfactory. The bruschetta was delicious flavor wise. However, the bread was soggy. The tomatoes should have been packaged separately to avoid that. Coming from out of town, we had to make all our arrangements for our son's wedding rehearsal dinner and hope for the best. From start to finish, from management and staff....everything was handled with care and all our questions were answered. Fast forward to tonight, when it all came to fruition. Our server, Brianna (not sure I spelled it right) was amazing. She handled everything...ALL the details, with perfection. She was professional, sweet, wise beyond her years, and had a great sense of humor. Hasta la Pasta....keep her as long as you can, but I have a feeling she is heading for bigger things eventually.
