Was offered an Americano with stronger coffee when i mentioned I wanted a stronger brew. Offerings: classic coffee, teas, non coffee, special drinks, pastries & bagels. Sips: Americano (4.98?) -menu lists as 4+. Unable to get receipt from tablet as it malfunctioned. Saw 4.98 on screen before it had a glitch as I was typing in my phone #. -brew was initially mellow, became bolder it was mixed up. Easy sipping, Smooth & bold was final result. Satisfying. This place will float your boat! Super friendly service and really good iced Yuzu! Did you know for their vanilla bean latte they scraped their own vanilla beans? Got that and their Yuzu latte which was great. So good in fact that I ended up ordering another 2 to-go! The lady there was very cool and personable. The vanilla iced latte was good, and apparently it's a best seller, but I'd say get their iced Yuzu because not only does it have those classic yuzu flavors with sparkling water, but they mix it with orange and lime slices! read more

I stumbled across this coffee shop while looking for a place close enough to purchase a green drink. I was feeling very earthy on this morning. Although Boats and Beans does not sell fresh made fruit juices and smoothies, they definitely serve up a well crafted Iced Lavender Latte. There is some cute seating outside with a pretty peaceful view. I've included pictures for others to see. I definitely think this local copy shop is worth the try if you're in the area. Sooooooo I just had one of thee best iced Matcha Lattes from this spot. I work right across the street and needed a quick pick me up since I skipped lunch today. I ordered the iced matcha and jalapeño bagel w/cream cheese and ummmmm it was HELLA good! Did you guys make these bagels from scratch or something because they're amazing! They make their syrups in-house & I could definitely taste the floral notes which were very well-balanced with matcha and coffee! It's right by the harbor which creates a nice ambiance to sit outside or walk around the harbor when the weather is nice. Service was quick & friendly. Every morning, I pass this place to pull into the driveway and today I thought I'd break my "creature of habit" ways. Very glad I did. Such an adorable little cafe shack! Our barista was very friendly and she was kind enough to bring it out to us while we were seated. A 16 oz iced latte is about $7.75 with a $.50 cent charge for nondairy alternatives. It is a little pricey in comparison to a coffee chain but I enjoy supporting small businesses. My latte was pretty tasty overall. It was not too sweet and the rose syrup (which I believe could be house made) was not too overpowering while adding a lovely floral after tase. I hope this isn't just an initial impression but reflects their consistent treatment of all customers. With a few tables and chairs in front, and a charming dock area it's situated in, it felt quite inviting. While I typically avoid gourmet drinks like Vanilla Lattes, my son ordered one, and my daughter tried a Rose Latte--though I might have the name wrong. They both loved the aroma and taste of their drinks. I went for a Cafe Americano and was pleasantly surprised. The Cafe Americanos I've had elsewhere tend to be acidic and sharp in taste, but the one from Boats & Beans was smooth and less acidic, which I really enjoyed. Coupled with the friendly and skilled barista, Mario, I will definitely be returning. This place might just become one of my favorite coffee spots! read more

We came here after finishing up work on Coast Guard Island. This was the perfect way to end the work day. The lady serving us was so kind. We got the Rose latte iced and a hot orange blossom matcha. Also got a currant scone and a chocolate croissant. everything was delicious and they gave us Military discount. Also, they make a the syrups for their drinks in house, super cool. A friend introduced me to this super cute family-owned and operated coffee shop near the Embarcadero marine in Oakland. From the goldenrod paint to the outdoor seating with umbrellas, this place has such a fun, relaxing vibe and feels like a place that will become a favorite haunt of locals to gather and hang out. My friend had a latte and I had hibiscus tea - both were wonderful. They also have pastries, which I will sample next time I go back. Easy nearby parking. I would recommend grabbing your treats and strolling down to the nearby waterfront to sit and enjoy the vista and your treats. So happy to have found this place! read more

Service is absolutely amazing and the drinks were great- which is why I gave 3 stars. BUT I really just can't get over the prices. It is unbelievably expensive, so I can't give more stars and will not return. walking away spending almost 9 dollars on a coffee drink feels like unnecessary gouging. Especially for a coffee kiosk (that likely has to pay less rent than a store front, although this is an assumption). What a bummer. I really hope in time they make their prices more fair and realistic because as of now it's even more expensive than fancy boutique coffee shops in Oakland, what the heck! read more

The floral aroma of Rose latte felt elegant and sophisticated without being overwhelming. And the balanced taste of Orange Blossom Matcha made me want to try again next time. i never write bad reviews. one time i came here and asked for steamed oat milk. the older woman with blonde highlights at the counter acted like she had never heard of anything like that in her life, she was struggling to charge me for it so i said just charge me for the latte (about 5 dollars) and just don't put espresso in it. that's a lot but i was a barista for 5 years and i get maybe the pos doesn't allow certain buttons. i kinda didn't wanna go back after that because i had never heard of a cafe not having steamed oat milk. it does happen to be the only cafe in my work area though so i would go when she wasn't there because it seemed as though she always had a problem. i came today because i wanted a snack and it was too early for the other businesses, our friend was at the counter. i asked for a cookie, nothing too complicated. they usually take it out of the window, she smiles at me and goes to the back of the room and about 2 minutes later comes back with a cookie shoved in my face from the window. i walked two steps and unwrapped my cookie, and it was burnt beyond being okay. i asked for one that wasn't black on the bottom and she happily obliged, no apology just "oh my gosh, good thing you checked right here". interesting. these are all just observations. will not be coming back. read more
