Got some work on my house with carpet and flooring and tiles for my kitchen. They are outstanding. Highly recommend them

This company doesn't know anything about tile. I had a client meet me there he said he walked in and immediately was hounded by some old bag of bones as if he was going to steal something. This guy is in the armed forces, just got home from tour and was driving a new BMW. I got over there shortly after he arrived, walked in and saw two displays. Daltile and American olean. For those who don't know, Thors are the bottom feeder brands and they had them in a showroom most likely over priced. I started asking about Pasha tile which the old which should know about being a installer in groveland MA but she looked at me like I didn't know what l was talking about. DO NOT GO THERE FOR ANYTHING. I know for a fact they messed up a job at my family's house and after the shotty show room experience I would give less than 1 star if I could. read more

So much for supporting this local business. This company installed carpeting on three separate occasions for a homeowner who literally lives 7 minutes from the store. When I spoke with the homeowner after seeing badly wrinkled (improperly stretched) wall to wall carpeting in her Master Bedroom. The carpeting needs to be fixed by being re-stretched, trimmed and terminated to the tack strip again. Since this was the third install (previous installs were sub par as well according to the homeowner) I called and spoke with Christine at the store. She immediately acknowledged that she knew the owner as a repeat customer, then showed zero interest in having one of the installers stop by without imposing a excessive trip fee. Keep in mind they are 7 minutes from the home. By coincidence, the very same day I ended up speaking with an established and experienced installer from another carpet store who happened to be working on the house next door. He was kind enough to stop by and have a quick look. He immediately stated without reservation that the carpet in this very low traffic area was in fact shoddy and rushed install and was not stretched properly which over time led to the buckling, and creating ridges (wrinkles) in the carpet. He will be stopping by tomorrow to properly stretch the carpet and fix this poorly done installation. He will also be quoting a new project with athletic flooring for a fitness room in this home. The experience with Christine is a perfect example as to how not to treat a long time repeat customer and as a result she will never have another opportunity to quote flooring of any sort to this homeowner. Christine could have not been more indifferent, rude and inept in handling a simple situation that could have secured the loyalty of this long time customer rather than assure that this homeowner will never give another penny of business to Hastings. If I could score a zero on this business I would so it's a 1 and done. read more

I needed flooring for over 1000 Sq Ft in my basement so I dropped in to pick out some tile. The salesperson Christine showed me a few samples and was going to do some research for me on other tile options and said she would call me back within a couple of days. When she didn't call me back after a week I purchased the tile from another shop right up the street, they came out and measured and everything went really well. As a courtesy, I called the owner/manager at Hastings to let him know that his staff dropped the ball. Then less than an hour later Christine called me and was very angry. She began by lecturing me on how unprofessional I was by calling the owner and for not calling her first ! read more

I thought this place was a great idea until I decided to research there prices. Hastings was doubling the price of materials. Thank goodness I called home depot before I made my order. They were charging 60 dollars for a box of commercial vct when I can purchase the SAME tile at home depot for 33 dollars. Ridiculous! read more

I am not impressed with Hastings. The carpet they installed and padding were not of the quality I had on my master bedroom before. The sales person did not ask if I wanted a better quality or not. She just gave me samples of colors. After the carpet in the bedrooms was installed I told her I didn't love the color and wasn't sure if I wanted it in the other areas, living room and stairs. She was going to check to see what the restocking fee and delivery fee would be. I've called her twice and still haven't heard from her. I went with Hastings, even though they are more expensive, because we have had low quality installation through Home Depot. However, I would not go with Hastings again. read more

Unhappy with this locations customer service. Spent over $800 in tile. I provided them the square footage and they doubled the small tile. They provided me 50% credit even though they made the mistake. They also gave me too much grout. I purchased two bags. Only used 3/4 of one bag and refused to credit. We wanted to support a local establishment. Won't do it again. Also my suggestion to the owner buy a computer system. The part of your problem. Hand scratch order forms create mistakes. Hastings did a terrific job installing new hardwood flooring throughout our main living area. Sure, we could have got a cheaper floor from Home Depot, but you get what you pay for. The quality offered at the big box stores is definitely NOT the same as what you will get from here. Sure Hastings has the cheap stuff too, but that's not what we were looking for. I would use again, and recommend to anyone looking for a local flooring installer that takes pride in their work, The salesperson was very friendly and knowledgeable, and the installers were all very clean and professional and did an excellent job. read more

Been using Hastings for over 14 years. Our most recent tile job was not acceptable to us (never had an issue prior) but was met with attitude and rudeness by Christine when we called to say we were unhappy. They did come out to "fix" the issues but unfortunately that will be our last time using Hastings. Still not happy with the finished product, should have been done right the first time. I thought it would be a good idea to support a local business and purchase my carpet at Hastings Floor Covering. I was very wrong they do not stand behind their products. I purchased what I was told was a quality carpet made by Stanton. After one month of use the carpet on the stairs is already showing signs of wear. I called Hastings to explain the situation they sent someone out to look at the carpet. after over a month of waiting for a response they stalled again and asked for me to send photos, which I did. /waited another almost 2 weeks for a response and finally sent an email. At that point I was told they would do nothing to rectify the problem. I was told the I caused the problem because I had not cleaned the carpet. I was shocked that that was how they treated their customers. NOT ONLY ARE THEY EXPENSIVE THEY ALSO DO NOT STAND BEHIND THIER PRODUCT. read more

Let me warn you now!!! Do NOT use this company for anything! I went to them to replace a ceramic tile floor. They had us sign a form wher one bullet stated this would be considered a construction area and there would be a fine dust throughout the house. The statement says to put up plastic protecting openings. So I put up plastic closing all openings, plus all my kitchen cabinets and countertops. When I returned home after they finished the job, I had grout mud all over my house. I had dust all over my house and the plastic coverings I had on the openings were all lying on the floor. Like other reviews here, they did absolutely nothing except refer back to the paper we signed. I expected dust all over my kitchen, but not all over my house. I even had to wash my cars as they left the door open into the garage so everything in there was covered as well. Cost me over $5,000 to have my house cleaned. I've had Home Depot install carpet in my house and they did a way better job and their installers actually cared about my home, unlike Hastings. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, do yourself a favor and go to a Professional company. read more

HASTINGS in Groveland installed our Armstrong floor in our kitchen and I couldn't be more delighted. The prep interview was professional and quickly measured; the actual installation only took a day and a half and every single edge is perfect. The installer was pleasant and knows what he is doing - had lots of experience. I quoted 3 other places before selecting Hastings and they negotiated with me to come to an agreement. We've been using Hastings for years. The quality of the products is on a completely different level than what you'd find at big box stores like Home Depot, so for folks to be comparing prices to places like that doesn't make sense. For example, we purchased Teragen bamboo flooring, which was considerably more expensive than what I was seeing at Lumber Liquidators, but my mother in law, who went with the far less expensive Lumber Liquidators product is now tearing her floor up because it's been bubbling up and the finish is peeling off. Ours is beautiful and we have lots of traffic on it, so as the saying goes - you get what you pay for! This is a family owned business and their customer service has been great, in our experience. When I go to Home Depot, I am lucky to find a person to talk to, let alone someone who will spend as much time as I need to look at different flooring and explain the differences. The staff have great design-sense and take time to work with you to make selections based on your tastes. They have stayed past closing with me before and I have never felt rushed. read more
