Only guys I'd trust to work on my c7 z06. Dealers are full of clowns but the mechanic John is extremely knowledgeable and even takes the time out to text me updates on car and if he finds anything wrong with it or that may go wrong in the future.. he's done various modifications at my request to increase the performance, flushed my trans fluid, oil changes, tire and brake changes, and many other things. He also saved me 3 grand since bmw said my 535 needed a new transmission and he took his time to find out it was just a pump that needed replaced. Best mechanic in westchester and is very meticulous with his work. 2 years of service on 3 of my cars and never a single complaint. This place was great when Job was the owner. I live nearby so it was convenient and both my wife and I regularly bought gas from them and also had them work on our cars for the 15 years we've lived here. Now the person there is *extremely* rude - the way he talks and acts feels like he harbors racist sentiments (I'm a professional of Indian origin and have brown skin). Both my wife and I have independently had sour experiences with him. In the past couple of years I have used them 3 times and each time I was made to feel as though they had done me a great favor in taking my money. But it is convenient and walking distance from my home so I've ignored these and persisted. No more after what transpired today. Today I made an appointment (on the phone from work), took the afternoon off to bring my car in for a state inspection - he was rude again and used foul language so I said, "No need to be rude - I'm just trying to get my car done" to which his reply was, "Get the fuck out of here!". I left but I will never go there again. If I could give negative stars, I would. I will also tell anyone who asks me about my experience. read more

Recently this place came under new ownership. We took our car for the state required inspection. They called us and said the car would not pass unless we bought four new tires. The car is only four years old with fewer than 25,000 miles on it. An inspection that should have cost less than $50 bucks ended up costing almost $800. When he called on the phone to get authorization, he wasn't up front about the repair. He said nothing about the balancing and rotation costs. He should have been up front about all costs and repairs needed. It's a little too convenient that a place called "Hastings Tire" says we need four new tires to pass an inspection. We won't be doing any further business with them. Not for auto repairs; not for gas; nothing. They couldn't even sell me a pack of gum! read more

Terrible place. I brought my car for an oil change. They said I needed 2 new tires. So fine I did it, they charged me $400. Then 2 weeks later the changed tire was leaking air. You would think they would fix it for free but then the guy gives me a line of BS saying it normally costs $90 to change but he did it for $11. Zaman is a real piece of work. It's a shame because I live around the corner and I can walk here when I drop off my car but I'm never coming here again read more

Extremely rude young fellow told me to "go to the dealership if you don't like it" when I asked why, what appeared like a simple job of lifting the car and driving a couple of sheet metal screw to secure a loose shield, would take 1 hour (at $105/hr). Excellent customer service and quick turnaround! I brought my car in for an air leak in one of my tires. They immediately took my car in, assessed that there was a nail in the tire, then patched it up and gave the car back to me. This whole process took no longer than 10 minutes. I was in and out of the shop and couldn't have been happier! Mind you, I came in on a break from work, so I didn't have much time to stick around. Thanks for great service guys! If I could rate 0 starts I would. Horrible customer service, and the "owner" will do anything to overcharge anyone he can. DO NOT COME HERE. The "owner" is miserable, rude, and dismissive. I came here in Jan 2018 to have my rear brakes replaced. I was given a quote of one price, and when I returned to pick up my car, I was charged almost double the quote, because the owner told me he changed another part WITHOUT authorizing it with me first. Fast forward to two months later, I took my car back to a different garage because it was making horrid grinding sounds. I was told that only my left brake was changed, while my right brake was grinded down to nothing. I live about an hour away from Hastings tire, so you can only imagine my frustration when I had to drive back to their shop to have to the "owner" look at my brakes again. Long story short, he tried to charge me for another part that messed up because of the fact that he did not fix my brakes properly the first time. He even had the audacity to act if is he was doing me a favor by only charging me for the part and not the labor. Mind you, this is a part that would have never needed to be fixed if my brakes were done properly two months prior when I first brought it to the shop! I have been using this gas station for many years. I had always been treated with courtesy. Today, for the first time, I encountered a rude, surly attendant. When I asked how long he had been working ther, he said two months. He is a grey haired man who is old enough to know better. His hiring was definitely a step back as far as customer service is concerned. I often buy my gas there despite cheaper alternatives in the area because I like to patronize Hastings merchants. I may have to rethink that policy as far as Hastings Tire is concerned if this employee's attitude is going to be typical of the service in the future. read more
