Brought my car in to change the brakes and to check out a sound on left front (driver side). Abu told me it was the left control arm. I left the car there, paid $1000 he said he fixed it. Sound was gone for a little time and then it was awful a few weeks later, same side. I brought it back, Abu was like "I changed the right control arm." when I said that the issue was on the left which HE DIAGNOSED, he refused to fix it and now tells me it's so bad and axel is broken, causing more damage. I really don't understand how this shop has all its positive reviews on their website but not here... my experience with them was not very good, they are rude, overpriced, they give you a price and when you go to pick up the car you have to pay thousands of dollars more, they change parts on the car, my car is a push start and they changed the steering wheel cover which they put on has a hole to mount the key. When I went to pick up my car it started to vote anti-freeze and then they tell me that they don't know what other people had done to the car when they themselves were the ones who rebuilt the engine and after I spent $11,000 dollars. try to avoid this shop there are many better shops and they charge much less read more

This place is a bit shady. I went for an oil change and was told it would be $90. When I received my receipt it was $135. I was charged $4.50 for windshield wiper fluid that I had just topped off myself recently and $10 for coolant. I was not asked if I wanted this. Most places do this for free. I would have rather topped off my own windshield wiper fluid and coolant than pay $15 for this. Additionally, a screw from my engine splash guard was missing. I know because I took it off myself. When I pulled up, the mechanic stated "oh, your cover is broken. I'll fix that for you". I said, "great thanks!" I truly thought he was just being kind. It's literally just placing a screw back on that I had lost. The value of this job is really no more than $2. He charged me $25. I was quite shocked. I definitely won't be coming back. This is such sleazy and dishonest behavior. I'd go somewhere more honest. read more

The mechanics here have no idea what they are doing and will waste your time and money. I started having a problem with the AC not working in my car in May of 2021. I read positive reviews on Yelp and brought my car in to get it serviced since it was so close to where I live. Abu told me the freon was out and refilled it, saying he fixed the problem. We also seemed to have the fan speeds not working which he told us was just the way the car is. A few weeks later, the AC stopped working again. Brought it back and was told I waited to long to bring it back so I needed to refill the freon again so they could find the leak - first red flag. Refilled the freon, identified a leak, patched it up and went on my way. 3 weeks later, again, AC went out. This time, I was told the radiator and compressor both had leaks and had to replace it. I had already spent several hundred dollars at this point and this was going to be costly. They cut me a "deal" and brought the bill down to just over $600, but I had still spend now over $1k on fixing the "problem" which spanned from May - September 2021. You can imagine my disappointment when the first hot day in April 2022 I turn on the AC to find it is again, not working. At this point, I knew I needed to get a second opinion. I ended up dropping my car at the mechanic in my hometown for assessment which my family has used for 20+ years. They found that my freon was filled entirely with AIR. Not freon - AIR - which was why there was no cold air coming back. They also immediately fixed the fan speed problem which I was told in May 2021 was just the way the car was. The mechanic also suspected that the compressor and radiator replacement had nothing to do with the AC and was unnecessary. I'm honestly not sure what to think - either the staff at Lambros are incompetent mechanics and don't know what they are doing or they have extremely shady business practices. Regardless, avoid at all costs. read more

On a Sunday night while trying to put air in my tires the valve came out of one tire and it went completely flat. Being an 83 yr. old female I was not able to change the tire so had to leave the car at the garage and went up the next morning to see about getting it fixed. I was told i t needed a new tire pressure sensor and okayed having the work done. I was charged $97 for the part with a total bill of $165.68. When I checked on line with Honda and other sites I found the exact same part being sold for $39/45. When I went back and asked about the difference in price I was told it wasn't the same part though Honda has it listed with the exact same #. I'm in Irvington resident. Ran out of gas about two blocks from here. I asked to borrow a gas can but instead was told I would have to buy one from them. I think they could've lent a gas can especially considering I have used the gas station, convenience store as well as service area. If you want to be a local service station, you have to cut people a break sometimes and I try to squeeze every dollar out of them. I needed to have my car inspected, so took it to Lambros based on a recommendation. I couldn't be happier with the unexpected service I received. First of all, the mechanics are all SO friendly. I left my car for the inspection in the afternoon and picked it up in the evening (there were a few other cars ahead of me for inspection as well, so they estimated a 2-hour time frame for my car). I had my new license plates in the front seat of my car along with my registration sticker, all of which I was going to attach later that evening once I got my car back. When I went to pick it up, I was pleasantly surprised to see that the mechanic installed both license plates and properly adhered the stickers to my window. I was so relieved! I wasn't thrilled to have to unscrew the old plates and screw on the new ones, so I was so happy they did it for me. During inspection, the mechanic noted one small issue with my car, so he gave me an estimate for the service they would do to it. I'm absolutely going to bring my car to Lambros for this, and for any future motor vehicle related thing. read more

Hmm...Just went there after a long while and now am being called ma'am. It's weird because I've been going there for years so it's not really as polite as it may sound. Ironically the guy who works there aged himself. Maybe it's due to the pandemic or me seeing the light. On a positive, they are open at various hours so you are able to pick up an odd ball item at a moment's notice. I got toilet paper during the pandemic when other stores were out and went there New Year's Day when the hardware store was closed. So it can be a good experience if you hit it right. read more

If this provided a 10 star rating, I would give you guys a 10! I own a 2002 Mercedes Benz C240. Since I purchased the car in 2002, I have been taking it to Mercedes Benz for all major repairs, but I will no longer have it repaired at the dealership because I found Lambros Service Center, a trusted, efficient and knowledgeable repair shop. For about a year my car had a serious suspension problem which made it feel like it was a small boat out in the middle of the ocean when driven at high speeds. It would wobble uncontrollably when driving on a perfectly paved road and it felt like the tires were going to pop off. I took it to various repair shops and no one knew what the problem could be. I was recommended a shop that said the problem was due to the front control arms. They replaced them, but apparently did not do the job correctly because the problem continued and worsened. Jonathan at Lambros, which is Mercedes Benz certified, examined the entire car in great detail and showed me the incorrectly placed control arm. He provided me an estimate when he initially diagnosed the car and as he worked on the car, he noticed a couple more hazardous things with it. Jonathan was sure to call me before making the additional repairs to be sure I understood exactly what needed to be done on my car and the financial impact it would have. He was courteous and very informative. He also provided diagrams and explained the problems and the solutions. Jonathan and his team replaced the incorrectly placed control arm, aligned it, changed the rear bushings and springs (which was the real cause of the wobbling problem), replaced light bulbs, gave it an oil change, detailed my car to the point that it looks brand new and took better care of it than anyone I had seen previously. My car looks and feels brand new and much safer to drive than it has in a long time. I would have paid triple the price at the dealership and I appreciate all the time and dedication to fixing the problem at a great price. All around great experience. I was up from the city visiting family and had an issue with a fan blower dying on me just when the weather was getting cold and windshields need to be defrosted. These guys were able to take me in with no appointment the day after thanksgiving and have me up and running that same day. I had stopped in to Lambros and received great help from the fellow behind the counter in the shop who came out and helped me put air in my tires. Because of his courtesy and help, I went there to get new batteries for my remote. Someone from service department, who took new batteries from a display behind him at the service desk, then (I thought he was being nice) CHARGED me a labor charge of $18 to place the batteries in the keyless remote holder. I was shocked and started to argue with him, but because I was late to pick up my grandson from nursery school, I could not follow through with finding a supervisor. This happened January 2018 and I just found my receipt which reminded me how angry I was and so am writing this review now, late but still upset. read more

I'm the mechanic that ran and operated this shop for the past two years. This is a family business and a really shady one at best. I decided not to stay because they over-charge for parts they didn't even order let alone install. How can you charge a customer for a head gasket after only changing the rubber seal on the water pump. This is what happened to a senior citizen from the community named Barbra Brown. It hurt my heart to see this lady pay over $1700 for a seal that cost a couple cents. I've seen this happen too often where the boss would slap an oil change sticker on cars that needed oil changes without changing the oil when it got busy which most of the time it is. Little do people know!!! I've seen the owner Aoun Akram sell jobs that were never done and he sleeps fine knowing that. It just weighed heavy on my conscious so I decided to leave.
