Let me start off saying that I have lived in Hatboro for 16 years and have been a long time customer of Hatboro Pizza. Unfortunately over the years and most recently their prices have gotten out of control and the quality has been hit or miss, definitely not on par with their rising costs. I ordered wings tonight because they have always been my favorite wings in Hatboro but what I got tonight was not good. Wings should be crispy and the wings I got tonight had some of the chewiest skin I e ever had and it was gross and I ordered Hot and there was no spice to them at all. It was extremely disappointing. Like I stated earlier they have been very hit or miss lately. This is not the first time I've gotten something from there that was not worth the outrageous prices. I was recently in Hatboro at a friends and ordered lunch from these guys. The woman who took my order was friendly, patient and very helpful. The delivery was very fast and the driver was kind and courteous. I wasn't sure what to order, so for a first timer I went with wings and a couple of cheesesteaks with fries. The cheesesteaks were on fresh rolls, thankfully not soggy with finely chopped meat and a good balance of cheese/meat. They were decent and above average, but a tad pricey at just under $11 a piece. The fries came well done as ordered and were fine. The wings were decently sauced, but the meat was dry. They were a decent size. Overall, I would say that the food and overall experience was good. I was a frequent customer. We ordered $80 with of food. The driver left it in the rain at I've if the businesses behind my house and left it there for an hour. Once we found it we called the restaurant to make it right. The driver lied and said they delivered it to my house and the person in charge told us "I don't care, I'm not making another $80 worth of food. Take it up with grub hub to get your money back". Staff was very friendly and let me know about the specials--which being new I didn't know existed--and was very happy with the 10" pizza and can of soda deal for $7.77! Pretty expansive selection, and was surprised that they sell cheesecake amongst other desserts as well as burgers. And not just a 'one or two'--but like a menu in of itself! Service was incredibly quick, despite there being a what looked like a couple delivery orders coming through, in the process of making, or going out. They have friendly owners, but their pizza is hit-and-miss. I feel bad giving anyone a bad review as I know how these can affect their business, but I was pretty upset after spending thirty bucks on this lousy pizza. We had ordered half pepperoni and half buffalo chicken pie. On arrival, the pie did not look right. A pizza is supposed to have fresh white melty Mozzarella and whatever toppings you add. Instead, the pie looked like it dried out or something, just not right; I was frankly shocked when I opened the box. My first time trying this place and I am very disappointed. I ordered delivery: munchy (appetizer) platter, an apple walnut salad, and my coworker ordered the grilled chicken Caesar salad. The fried foods had no flavor. The onions rings were tiny. The mozzarella sticks were horrible - the cheese was gooey processed cheese, not stringy like real mozzarella. And the French fries were barely golden. Apple walnut salad: no croutons, the apple was simply sliced and placed on top, and the walnut pieces were not candied or any thing. The shredded mozzarella was flavorless. There were no onions or tomatoes, just a container packed full of lettuce. When you see "apple walnut salad", a gourmet salad comes to mind with something special. But this was just lettuce with some walnuts, sliced apples, and shredded cheese. The garlic bread was flavorful but over-toasted so the top was too crunchy to eat. My coworker said the chicken salad was good. But we shared the appetizer platter and were very disappointed. Also, the girl who took the order gave me a total of $24.73 over the phone, but that ended up being the subtotal. They added on tax and delivery charge, and by the time I signed the receipt the total was $27.64. It's ok - everyone makes a mistake. Delivery was prompt. I don't know if I'll order again. I really love this place. We have been going here for about a year now. The pizza is pan pizza style. We order it double cut and well done. It is out of this world. And they will put the hoagie onions on it if you ask them. I don't like the big square onion slices. I prefer the thin strips and they don't mind special orders. Today we got chicken cheese steaks and they are great! Some places make them with chunks which I loathe. This place makes them just like cheese steak meat.
