    Drunken grandma

Been hearing about this place for months & finally got a chance to try! Did not disappoint. Although it was packed, we got our food very fast. Ordered a cheesesteak, slice of drunken grandma and slice of upside down. Both slices were crispy & not floppy--with fresh basil, the savory sauces, and super fine Parmesan! Next time, I definitely want to try the buffalo chicken. The cheesesteak was top notch (similar to Angelo's or Cafe Carmela's). Seeded roll somehow held the massive amount of meat & coop sharp! We easily split 1 but if you feel extra hungry, it'll definitely satisfy your craving.

I wish this place was closer because this was SO good! Meat was so tender and the cooper sharp cheese wasn't too much! Pizza was the best!! Great crisp, great sauce, and love the ricotta!

10000% YES. How we are so lucky to have moved so close to Verona is beyond me! Dangerously close, honestly. The cheesesteaks are as good as they are hyped up to be. A crispy seeded roll over-floweth with cheesy meat and onions. It's so tasty you want to just keep eating it but it's so big that it's impossible. This sandwich will last you at least 2 meals, maybe 3 or 4 depending. Honestly, how I prefer it (leftovers queen over here). Though, they do not have any gluten free options, J got his no roll and man, did they pack this container solid with all the goodness. Pizza is next on the list to try!

I made my husband come here. I saw an ad for this place pop up on Facebook or something, maybe some of my friends came here I think . It looked really good in photos. The cheesesteak was very good. I like that it had a lot of cheese on it. Sometimes places only put cheese on the bottom and it's kinda dry. There is so much meat in it. I could have split one with him instead of us each getting one. My husband wasn't as happy with his. He wanted a different type of cheese- he likes provolone. He also got a little piece of bone in his meat. Overall a solid cheesesteak though , I enjoyed mine. I would come back if we're around the area shopping.

Simply put, the best pizza I've ever had. And that's no exaggeration. Drove about 40 minutes here after seeing so many reviews and it's 100% worth it. Light and air crust and the sauce to cheese ratio was perfect. And hot honey on top of the cupped pepperoni was simply a feeling I can't explain. Cheesesteak was good! But not sure it lived up to some of the hype. Wish it had a little more cheese and the roll wasn't my favorite. But the meat was cut and chopped great and loaded on for sure. Cooper sharp with onions.

This place was on both my dads and finances list of places to try their cheesesteaks and pizza. First the positives - the smell of this food, amazing ! The cheesesteaks were so heavy and perfectly cooked with a good ratio of cheese to steak. Sometimes too many places load up way too much cheese. I liked the seeded roll and the onions were cooked well an the perfect ratio. The margherita pizza had a great sauce flavor and the basil was super fresh and nice. I liked how the pizza was prepared. Overall a great spot. I will say the place was very bus and very chaotic. It was not orderly inside and it made it very hard to be waited on. All of the tables were packed and then there were a ton of people waiting. After being called to the register they handed me a receipt which I guess had a number on and they shout the orders by numbers not your name. Honestly a little chaotic. Their online ordering doesn't work and if you don't like pizza or steaks there really isn't much else to order - it's a very small selection. There is ample parking and outside seating as well. I'd definitely go back if I'm craving a cheesesteak, probably the best I've had outside of Philly.

Finally got to check out one of the hottest sandwiches in the Philly Area! Pros and Cons for Verona Pizza: Pros: Great quality steak Housemade Hard Seeded Rolls Perfect meat to cheese ratio Plenty of space to sit down and eat your food here. Tables were clean, staff was consistently checking on customers and seeing how the experience was. Pizza was tasty! Got the upside down pie. The prices weren't too bad for the size of the sandwich! Cons: I would have to really look hard to find a con here...well done Verona!

Let me just start off by saying don't walk ... RUN here!!! I found this place on Instagram and I got more than I asked for in the best way. Somehow we arrived just before the lunch rush which was nice. I had no idea that this place was famous for their cheesesteaks, but I now know why. They were the best steaks I've ever had. The portions are gargantuan-- some of the biggest steaks I've ever seen. Two people can share one steak. The slices are also massive!! I wish this place wasn't 30 min away or this would be my go to pizza place. 10/10!!! Side note: There is some seating inside & the service is relatively fast.

After seeing this place so much on social media, I just had to stop in for lunch and see what all the fuss was about. I ordered the cheesesteak with Cooper Sharpe and fried onions. This sandwich was a monster. I split it with my husband and even I couldn't finish my half. There was so much meat and cheese inside of this thing. You're definitely getting your moneys worth. But warning to those with small stomachs. This thing will overcome you. The role was a bit soggy, but that's because they packed the sandwich with so much meat and cheese. You could tell that the roll was fresh. I think next time I'll just come back for a slice of pizza.

So the cheesesteaks are HEFTY and Very very similar to cafe Carmela. $16 for cheesesteak. Two bites and you'll be done. It is VERY heavy. Skip the grandma pies. It's a super thick, focaccia style pie.

Came here for lunch. had to try this place after seeing a TikToker recommend this place. the cheese steak is legit. I added long hots for extra $. I think I'm not a fan of the cooper sharp cheese. and the long hots didn't add much. not sure if I'd get judge if I ask for regular American next time.

Ordering online was super easy and I had to try the cheesesteak...it's not just a viral sensation, it's legitimately one of the tastiest things I've ever eaten. I'm gonna need to recover for weeks but I would absolutely get it again. The service was great too and I loved the atmosphere, just a classic pizza spot with some of the best cheesesteaks in history!

From the street it has a really cool look and the inside leans into an industrial style with a great aesthetic. It's a comfortable space with a nice vibe. We ordered a couple of cocktails: a lemon drop and a Manhattan. Strategically we decided to split a Detroit-style pizza called the Iron Pig. Good call because one square was the perfect amount for dinner. And now we have a few meals to heat up for the next few days. The drinks were excellent and the pizza was outstanding. Great flavor. Our server Ally was welcoming and friendly and top notch on service. It is the middle of winter so we weren't considering outside dining, but they have a great outdoor space near the street. Looks like a fun place to hang out. It's definitely a place we'd consider visiting again.

We have been sleeping on Steel Penny!…read more Going down the list, the staff is incredible! They are all so hard working and so attentive to everything. They don't have server tunnel vision, they work as a team and it shows! The vibes are so cool here. I mean, if you're gonna open a cafe next to a scrap yard, you have to lean in to the theming. I love the vibes, I love the appearance. The food is amazing top to bottom. First, their coffee drinks are always spot hitting, partly due to the fact that they roast their own coffee beans on site. The cocktail menu is always enticing an even though I'm not a huge drinker, I'll be working my way around this. The breakfast options are plenty and if you don't get their bacon you are missing out! The lunch sandwiches are served on a house made ciabatta style bread. Packed with fresh meats, cheeses and veggies. Every ingredient is perfectly seasoned and added delicately, not just items slapped on a roll. The Detroit pizza is what initially drew me in. While they have some options with more toppings, I'd say go for some of the more simple Detroit pies to really allow the famous crust to really shine through. My personal favorite so far is the white pie they do with roasted portobello mushrooms. I have only been for breakfast and lunch but with all the craft beer options I need to go back for dinner to sit and relax with some friends and family!
