    Fiesta Scramble Bowl
    Matt G.

After a poor experience in their Metuchen location, I was hesitant to give this location a try until I was convinced by my family. We wanted somewhere nearby to go for Brunch by the shore on Easter morning and Hatch 44 fit the bill. Inside we were pleasantly surprised to find there was no wait and the menu had a wide variety of options available. The menu, was entirely digital, but they had an iPad available as well in case you couldn't scan the QR code for whatever reason. One section of the menu is very strict about not allowing substitutions. In fact that was the entire reason I had such a poor experience at the other location is the server there had refused all alterations of the menu, to the point where they wouldn't even serve me scrambled eggs. I'm happy to say here, that level of strict control was absent as there was no issue in substituting the jalapenos in my Fiesta Scramble Bowl with spinach. The bowl itself was full of flavor, with the cheese chorizo and pico all complimenting each other beautifully. Additionally it was the perfect sized portion and I left quite satisfied. I did have a glass of fresh squeezed OJ on the side, but something about it tasted.. off. Not sure if it was actually fresh squeezed or a bad batch of oranges, but it did cause me to pause. Overall, it was a great experience, but be aware that the seasonal specials cannot have modifications!

Came in for brunch with a party of about 8 to 10 people. The staff was extremely accommodating and we were very thankful for that. We were also happy to be able to bring in our own Prosecco to enjoy mimosas. My polenta and shrimp meal was out of this world! I'm still thinking about it today. I would definitely recommend for anyone interested in visiting Hatch 44.

Such a cute spot on main st in Bradley beach! I have eaten here before and the breakfast was very good. Today I went to grab a quick coffee on my way to the beach, I was directed to head straight to the coffee bar where I was able to order, pay, and get on my way in a matter of minutes! Great service, very friendly and a decent latte. I'll be back!

Very cute brunch spot with good food! I really enjoyed the Birria grilled cheese. The Tiramisu-tini (not alcohol) was a nice sweet accompaniment to my sandwich.

Modern looking place, our server was very helpful and made solid recommendations. I got the lox benedict, and my husband got the scramble fiesta bowl with chorizo. Both were extremely tasty and very filling. Would definitely come back again (and next time I'm getting the fiesta bowl!)

This cafe is super cute. Really good espresso & specialty coffees. Cute decor, instagram-able food and good service. Pumpkin pie latte: really good, creamy, and sweet. Birria omlet: a bit salty but hardy and the salad it came with paired nicely as it was fresh. I would come back if I were in the area again.

I visited the Metuchen location a couple of times before and was finally able to get to Bradley Beach on a Sunday morning. We were able to be seated right away and the food was delicious! Our server, Tina, was amazing! She checked up on us often and made sure we had everything we needed. I ordered their caesar salad and fries which hit the spot. Along with their matcha spritz which was light and refreshing. Of course I had to try my friends drinks too. The Teddy Latte was so cute with the teddy grahams on top and my friend Oooh Bae latte was my favorite it was the perfect combination of coffee and ube. Our waitress recommended it too! If you want something sweet, get the tres leches pancakes it literally tasted like cake. Will be back!

Excellent experience- went early on a Saturday and had the place to ourselves for a little while. Server was friendly and clearly knowledgeable about the food which made it easy to accommodate dietary needs. They do have gluten free toast available and also nondairy milk for their coffee. It's a small cafe style space, but could probably accommodate a group by pushing tables together. Accessible with no steps and bathroom is also accessible.

My first time at this location. The one in Metuchen. Ordered the crema de maiz. It's more tasty and flavorful. The s'mores latte was divine. The food was great. We were attended and the person was quick in taking the order and picking them up.

The is a very cute place. The service was great, she was very attentive for a large group and the meals did not take long to arrive. The decor was bright and beachy. I had the cheese empanada and grilled brirra cheese. Both were delicious, I had a great time

We went for lunch because of all the hype. First the table we sat at was sticky we had to ask the waiter to bring spray to clean it. The restaurant was very noisy with babies screaming and crying. One patron was changing her child's diaper at the table, gross. She was throwing the wipes on the floor. The Spicy Chicken Sandwich was okay not exceptional. My sister and Mother had eggs, bacon, potatoes and toast. The potatoes were supposed to have peppers and onions there were none. Maybe they used granulated not real peppered and onions. They gave one tiny piece of toast for two eggs and they forgot to bring the bread. By the time they received the toast they were almost finished with their eggs. Very disappointing for the price.

Service was great. We had Taylor! She was very attentive. It was a party of 9 for a bachelorette brunch. The food was so delicious. And the inside is so nice. Very clean. No complaints at all. Definitely will be back. I got the grilled cheese birria. Definitely recommend!

The hotel is beautiful and it felt like every single piece of furniture and decorations were chosen intentionally. Perhaps the best part of our stay was the phenomenal, friendly and attentive service from manager Emily. Truly a gem of a person, and made sure everything we needed was available. Would also like to highlight that Emily reached out even before our stay begun to ask if we needed anything upon arrival or had any questions. All requests were met and Emily was prompt to answer all questions. I would highly recommend The James Bradley to anyone thinking of visiting. If you're looking for a quick vacation out of this city, this is the place, so easy to get to, the town has wonderful restaurants/bars and the beach was beautiful (even if it was too cold to hang out). Can't wait to find a reason to return.

I'm all for minimalism but there needs to be functionality behind it. As for breakfast; more gluten free options please! And the soft boiled eggs we chose were either cooked too hard or way undercooked. The yogurt and fruit was delicious! Our server was great.

Hello Darlings!…read more Another day, another review. You might be thinking that Your Host and his hubby get out a bunch. Trust me, it's a mere coincidence this weekend but to be clear, I think I'll be cooking in next weekend. Be that as it may, Hubby decided that we should lunch at what was once known as the Avon Pavilion, now known as The Promenade...ooh-la-la! Before we get to the deets of this here review, this spot has undergone a bevy of changes during Your Host's 61 years on the planet. The Promenade is about the nicest to date. ATMOSPHERE: It's really pretty, clean, and offers stunning views of the boardwalk and beachfront. In fact, it's located right smack dab on the boardwalk at the Woodland Avenue beach entrance. It easily converts to an indoor-outdoor space and is quite casual since it draws the beach goers. Additionally, there is a take-out counter right behind the restaurant itself for those desiring to chow down on grub while sunning themselves on the beach or on one of the benches on the boardwalk. The staff is nicely attired and quite friendly. FARE: As we've only had lunch here, the offerings are things like burgers, salads, and sandwiches. We did see that they have a breakfast menu so at some point we'll check that out. Food quality is quite good (it was smash burgers for us) and you can't really go wrong here. The price point is moderate and won't necessarily break the bank. The only negative that both Your Host and the hubby had is that the side comes with potato chips instead of fries. For what it's worth, this is a nice place, and, in my view, they could have made a better decision about that. While we did order a side of fries to share, our burgers came out and by the time we had each consumed half of them, the server told us that the fries were on their way. At that point we simply told them to cancel the fries. That was the only gaffe, not a huge issue but worth a mention. DRINK REFILLS: Soft drink and iced tea refills are free! Yay! Hey Columns: perhaps you might consider this? Your porch is nice I'll admit but freebies on soft drink refills are better SERVICE; our server was a polite, accommodating young man. Generally speaking, all of the staff members that we encountered were polite and cheerful...just like Your Host. Most of the staff are young adults / teens and it's great to see young people gaining experience in dealing with the public and providing good customer service. OVERALL: this is a great spot to check out if you're enjoying a day at the beach in Avon and want to enjoy a nice sit-down lunch. We haven't had dinner here yet, but rest assured, darlings that a separate review will be forthcoming as that develops. Gotta keep the reviews coming...Jonathan would agree! Enjoy darlings! Your Host

We enjoyed The Pavilion. Unfortunately, The Promenade is a poor replacement. The "homemade…read moremozzarella " looked and tasted like it came from a can, the shavings of prosciutto were minimal. The "catch of the day " salmon was dry and the portions were tiny. The lobster rolls were, at best, meh. There was a mistake on the bill, which was corrected but had we not noticed it... We will not be back.

I ordered a Shrimp Po' Boy and it was by far the best Po'Boy I have had outside of New Orleans, and might have even been better than the one I had there too. My daughter ordered the Fish and Chips, which she loved despite it being her first time trying it. The interior has that "hole in the wall" vibe with just a few tables and a few stools at the counter. The food is being made just feet away from wear you're sitting and it creates a homey vibe. The locals seem to love the place as several stopped in to either eat or chat with the two women working. I do believe they have outdoor seating at picnic tables. Overall, this place is an absolute gem and i'll definitely be back when we return to Belmar, NJ.

It's cash only or Venmo, which I find its pretty normal for smaller local spots. The thing about this location was that it reminded me of Maine, the walls are painted this beautifully brilliant blue with nautical inspired decor. My favorite was the fishies above a fishing boat, which I had to take a snap of. I ordered 3 eggs over medium, with rye, and a side of bacon. The eggs were still a bit too runny, but its a standard breakfast. I want to go back and to sit there because the staff were super nice. If I lived closer then I'd prolly be here all the time. I saw a reviewer complain about the sign showing open, but they weren't. Honestly businesses making that mistake all the time, but to point it out is just whatever. Highly recommend stopping by here early because I have a feeling they're super busy with the locals.
