We went to Marigold for brunch and called ahead to reserve a table for 6. The cafe is really nice, and they have a dessert case at the front that looks amazing. The ambiance is bright and colorful. The restaurant was busy! But they seated us right away. We were pleased with the service. I really enjoyed my eggplant flatbread sandwich. My hubs had a tasty chick bahn mi and a seafood pancake. My in-laws loved their grilled romaine salads. I think everyone was very pleased with their food! I would recommend trying out this cafe. read more

We were in Spring Lake for the weekend and we're looking for a breakfast spot. The Yelp rating for the Marigold Market & Cafe made it an easy choice! The rating was spot on! We had the Blueberry Pancakes and Veggie Omelette. The pancakes came and I was a little surprised as they weren't 'puffy and fluffy'. I make pancakes once a week and always strive for a fluffy pancake. However, there was no difference in the taste! These blueberry pancakes were delicious! I also asked for the 'pure maple syrup' which was an additional charge. We also shared the Veggie Omelette; what an amazing omelette it was! It was as fluffy an omelette as I've ever had, it was full of peppers, onions, tomatoes, spinach and cheese! It was excellent! We were visiting from out of town and visited Marigold twice. On both occasions, the service and food was exceptional. The wait staff was very helpful and pleasant and joy to be around. The food was consistent and excellent on both occasions. We particularly like the buckwheat pancakes, which were delicious. We also tried the yogurt and granola, one of the omelettes. Marigolds is one of our "go to" breakfast spots. The service is impeccable and the food is even better. The omelettes (vegetable especially) are oh so good and the ability to swap out potatoes for a salad makes the experience that much better. There are often lines but they move fast. In town visiting family and found this place while meeting a friend for lunch. Outside eating was available but we chose to eat inside. Inside dining area is well lit and clean , plenty of natural lighting. Menu for breakfast offers plenty of variety, I chose the ham/cheedar/carmelized onion omelet. Nice portion and very tasty, the onions added a savory note and the plate comes with choice of toast and salad or hash brown. My buddy ordered 3 eggs over easy with the same sides.. overall an enjoyable environment to dine at with other then ordinary options to eat.. looking forward to another visit to try the fig jam! read more

Marigold's was a great find. It is sort of hidden but we found it. The place has an Over Easy/Turning point vibe to it. I will say they probably have the nicest staff you will ever meet. Everyone was kind and pleasant. We tried the lemon bar and the carrot cake cupcakes for a quick snack. Both were delicious. For brunch we had the omelette with vegetables and french toast crepes. The food was prepared nicely and came out hot and fresh. The omelette was straightforward but had good flavor. The french toast crepes were nicely done but more sweet than anything. This is my go-to spot for breakfast and lunch in spring lake. Service is always good and everything I've had for breakfast has been great - I love the BLT with eggs and avocado, the breakfast burrito, and the monte cristo. Their cold brew is also the best. They said we could sit at a table and wait a half hour but we could not order till 12 o'clock since there are so many fabulous restaurants in the area and they are all about themselves instead of their clients we chose to leave. We end up going to Spring Lake to a restaurant downtown. That was absolutely absolutely fabulous. Service was wonderful. Food was great so if you're going to Marigold for lunch go after noon. Something has changed at Marigold. I have been there 3 times in the last 2 months and the food is not quite as good. The short stack pancakes had absolutely no flavor. I didn't say anything at the time, thought maybe it was just me but I was there Sunday and had the eggs and hash browns. They were better but just lacked real flavor. Very happy to find this place! This cute little cafe is bright, clean and the perfect place for a breakfast/brunch. Shared the Jims hashbrowns and Huevos Rancheros and thought both were great. The huevos while maybe not the most authentic was delicious and came with a great side of homemade salsa which added a little kick. Went to Marigold for breakfast, ordered 2 full stacks of their marigold pancakes. Under the pancake, waffle section it said add for a dollar strawberries and bananas. My wife and I both ordered the same breakfast. The pancakes were good but when we got the bill,the bananas and strawberries came to an extra $8.00. On top of that they charged a dollar extra for almond milk along with the service charge for using a credit card. They are lucky if they used a bananas for both dishes and a few strawberries.Be careful what you order and ask to clarify the cost. Not going back!!! read more
