Food was terrific as was their Frangelica flavored coffee. Bacon Egg and Cheese Sandwich was healthy as was their Pork Roll Egg and cheese. Side of Home Fries was homemade, added ketchup and hot sauce and it was perfect. The Banana Bread French toast with Bananas and Whipped was the star of the show....fantastic was As if I had Bananas Foster for Breakfast. Service was solid. I know we have found our new favorite Breakfast spot. Dinners are offered to go and In season they offer Friday night dinners with music and byob. I've stopped here for breakfast a few times. The place is somewhat seedy, but makes a great breakfast. One of the problems with breakfast, for me, is a lot of places drench everything with butter and salt... which most people seem to like. Not me, I like healthy, natural flavors. I have a couple times ordered their Jersey Girl omelette (tomatoes, asparagus, mozzarella, green onions), and it is made to perfection. Tasty, healthy, and not greasy. Just wonderful. The only thing that prevents me from rating 5 stars is that I was a little surprised that the eggs, which came with toast and potatoes (I had a banana instead), did not come with coffee, for which they charged $3.50 (hey, even Starbucks with their outrageous pricing charges only $2.45 for a cup of plain old coffee). This is a very casual breakfast and lunch grille in the uptown section of Long Branch. A nice variety of food as you can see from the updated menus I have provided as of August 2020. There are about 15-20 stations In front and on the side of the building, so this venue can accommodate 30+ people in an outdoor setting. Less than half a mile from Monmouth Beach, this was the perfect spot to grab some takeout and sit on the beach. We loved the huge portion of fries, and the burgers! Friendly staff and looked like they had tons of baked goods at the counter for those craving something sweet. read more

We just celebrated Mothers Day at Beach Grille yesterday and had the most amazing brunch. I had the French toast with bananas, strawberries and brown sugar and it was to die for. My mom had the lemon pancakes and they too were out of this word. We had 9 people in our party and everyone felt the same. The service on this busy day was excellent and so accommodating. She had her place decorated for the holiday and personally brought out chocolate covered strawberries as a gift for us coming in. You could clearly see all of the thought and hard work she puts into her adorable cafe. I can't wait to celebrate future holidays here. Bravo to the owner and her staff! read more

Literally and figuratively it's somewhere between a 2 and a 4. Most of the bad blood is because they screwed up my order. I ordered the Triple Bacon Brie Burger without a bun. It was served on a bun and the brie was all melted into the roll. So basically for $14.50 I had a burger that was more cooked than the medium rare I asked for with bacon and onions but no brie as I am unable to eat the roll. Normally this would be an unforgiveable sin but our friends who live in the area come here often and say they have always had excellent experiences. I understand that it is an overwhelming time and that Sunday's are busy, but talking and gesturing at your customers is not a wonderful business habit. We were at Seven Presidents Beach and wanted a place nearby to get burgers. Fabulous burgers at a reasonable price. We got the triple bacon Brie burger and steakhouse burger. Both came with chips and choice of cole slaw or potato salad and total cost was about $22. Big meaty burgers made with high quality ingredients. A couple of weeks later we were going to Sandy Hook Beach and went out of our way to pick up lunch at Bacon Beach Grill. We ordered the same thing and enjoyed it just as much the second time around. We were looking for a dog friendly restaurant with good food and boy did we find it My husband had southern biscuits and sausage gravy 2 eggs with a flight of bacon I decided to have lunch - bacon burger with fries and our dog was treated like a prince. Awesome little place we happened upon on a cold, wet & damp day. I've passed the place several times & decided to try it. My daughter & I were both in the mood for soup & their choices were chicken noodle & ginger carrot soup. I was going to try the ginger carrot but after I ordered I found it to be gone. SO I settle for chili. My daughter was going for chicken noodle which they were also out of so she got a breakfast parfait. Chili was good, just the right amount of spice, lots of meat & beans. Not runny. My daughter enjoyed her parfait although this day soup would have definitely been a winner. The restaurant was VERY clean, bathroom included. It had 2 rooms, one with a counter & the other with tables. It's a a block from the ocean & a shore theme. Very cute. I was really glad we made this choice & we both enjoyed our food. We've lived a mile away for over 2 years and have never known about or visited this restaurant. What a great little café for breakfast/ brunch and lunch. We had breakfast here with friends last week and it was excellent (we are going back for lunch today). 3 of our group had omelets made to order perfectly, including goat cheese in the omelets (not often available at most breakfast places). I had the oatmeal with berries and honey and it was excellent. The service was very good and our waitress kept coming over to refill our coffee and make sure everything was to our liking. The owner, Fran came over and spoke with us explaining her passion and priorities for running a good restaurant. She also told us about their Friday night dinners (only night they open for dinner). No reason for this place to not have five stars. I am from the east coast but had moved to the midwest a few years ago. Needless to say I was CRAVING a good pork roll. The service here was pretty awful. We waited about 15 minutes before being greeted by anyone until we finally stopped someone passing by asking if we could order. The girls I were with ordered ice coffees, and after receiving our food they asked where they coffees were and the waitress responded saying she had to find them. Needless to say, we never got the coffees. Although the service was subpar, the food was fine. I was thrilled to see grits on the menu as that is hard to find in New Jersey, and the omelette I ordered was cooked perfectly. Went here for breakfast with the family this morning. The restaurant is under new management and they did not disappoint with the food or the decor. The restaurant specializes in breakfast and lunch foods, most importantly BACON! There are some dishes that consist only of bacon, such as an artisan bacon flight. The decor warm and there are many cute pig statues. It is very comfortable and the ambiance is quiet but not too quiet, a perfect place to talk over breakfast. I had the pork belly special, was tasty but a bit salty. However that is to be expected from pork belly. It came with eggs that were cooked well and grits which were tasty and filling. The service was terrible, very disorganized and very long waits. They sat us at a table and moved us three times to accommodate for a larger party. Fran, owner or Bacon Beach Grille, held a free breakfast yesterday. I originally thought the intent was to do a PR event promoting her fabulous restaurant. There was a film crew from Fox News. Given breakfasts were free, a large tip was a no brainer. However, I was speaking with one of the servers and assumed they received some great tips. Mind you Fran covered the bill; there was no cover for her outlay. I was a bit taken aback when the sever mentioned that most tables did not leave any tip whatsoever. Wow. Perhaps people didn't think of it given all the enthusiasm w the film crew present. I would hope that anytime a restaurant does something similar to promote their business, especially during these times, the guests would be more aware and truly support the people who are serving them. This must have a been a massive cost to Fran unless severs worked for free. If so tips are even more meaningful. I would highly encourage anyone, everyone reading this will have a meal at the grille. I'm sure many who attended yesterday's event are already patrons. Fran' dedication to her clientele is stellar. She takes the time to say hello, spend a few minutes when she can ensuing you are enjoying the food. Fran's Beach Grille (formerly Bacon Beach Grille) has been our go-to place for great breakfasts and lunches. It's a pleasant and friendly local eatery and catering service with an interesting menu, entertainment on holidays (a bagpiper on St. Patrick's Day along with the traditional corned beef and cabbage and Irish Soda Bread!) and great daily specials. We recently asked Chef Fran Schults to cater a small family luncheon. She created a feast consisting of a fruit and cheese platter, assorted tea sandwiches (animal shaped PB&J for the children), and a tray of cookies and mini-cupcakes for dessert. The food was beautifully presented and quite affordable. I am delighted that I was able to enjoy our party without the work of preparing the food. I may entertain more and cook less from now on. We are very happy to live nearby this local gem and recommend it highly. read more

It is an appealing little place with outdoor seating, albeit right on a somewhat busy street (but still worth doing), I have had a variety of things and all of them have been terrific. My first time I had the bacon sampler, which if you're a pork-o-phile like me you will truly enjoy. Corned beef hash was great. Ditto cheesy grits. Corn muffin exceptionally good.
