It was early June, so I ignored the map application on my phone that told me that they were temporarily closed. I am so glad I did. Turns out there is some glitch that they haven't been able to resolve, yet, with the people managing the data for the app. It just doesn't get any better than their fabulous vanilla soft serve in a freshly made waffle cone (for me). We first discovered Hatchland Farm's ice cream during Covid. When it was safer to travel locally, we chanced upon this awesome place and fell in love with their strawberry ice cream. We took a hike at the White Mountains yesterday so hubby and I were inclined to go to Haverhill for ice cream specifically. Was so torn what to choose but I went with their chocolate raspberry (hard serve) in their homemade waffle cone. This was a single btw Hubby is a soft serve guy and he got a single too - raspberry and chocolate twist which he said was absolutely delicious. They have 4 sizes: baby, single, double and XL. Best ice cream in New England IMO. We were pleasantly surprised that they expanded. The farm store is much bigger and offers so many interesting local products. Service was friendly. Note that they only take cash at the ice cream windows but the store takes card. read more

It's as good as everyone says it is! The ice cream here is so delicious. They have both soft serve and hard ice cream and a variety of flavors. I love that you can get a flight and try four flavors for $6. Today I sampled sweet cream hard ice cream, vanilla soft serve, maple hard ice cream and cookie dough. My favorites were the vanilla soft serve and sweet cream hard ice cream. I was so excited to dig in that I forgot to take a picture. read more

Their store, fresh milk in GLASS bottles. Not an enviromentalist but really think we lost our way when we stopped using returnable bottles of all kinds. Their Ice Cream is amazing. I have supplied my son their fresh jarred milk since we moved here in 2018, and he has super human strength for his age (11) and lack of activity, I can safely say. Speculation aside, it's literally 1/3 of the cost of other exchange jar milk brands so why would I not? At the flagship in Haverhill, you can get all the local goods, and man, the curds are the absolute best. Your kids, or you, if you have a lust for dessert, will need the ice cream. They also have cider sorbet and all the pure rural New England goodness as well. read more

I love the eggnog, garlic cheese and the chocolate milk. The milk is creamy and rich. The cheese is super garlicky if you love garlic. I haven't tried any of the ice creams but that is next! Every year I usually get a bottle of eggnog but this year I have been striking out. The store is sold out and every other distributor is as well. read more

I loved their tiny home at the side of the road; seemed like something more out of an old poem welcoming visitors driving by while exploring the Northern Wood. Their new, larger enterprise while no longer quaint is family friendly and fun with the same great employees. I can't speak to all of their offerings as I've been hooked on their chocolate milk for 20 years and that's all I've ever bought every single year when I visit the area from Oregon. If you have been consuming Hatchland Ice cream, the ice cream is wonderful. They've moved across the road to their beautiful new building. It has lots of space, yet to be filled. Fresh quality ingredients bring out enhancing the delicious flavors of their ice cream. Okay, it's not on YELP, but they have the Hatchland Farm Store right on Route 10 in N. Haverhill and they have THE BEST ICE CREAM EVER! Not to mention their milk and dairy products. They carry alot of local items as well but their ice cream is AMAZING!
