I found this company via Craigslist & sadly they didn't have any yelp reviews which I prefer to stick to so I am writing this for my fellow yelpers who like me don't like taking chances on non-reviewed small businesses! I used Hauling 101 yesterday to clear out furniture and some heavy trash items from an apartment I moved out of. David, who I assume is the owner, returned my call in decent time and when I texted him back late night he confirmed a next day appointment without any issues. They arrived about 15 mins after the scheduled time but did text that he was having trouble finding my place, which is common, so no points off for that! They were efficient & quick even with an extremely heavy wood table that I wasn't sure they could manage so I was pleased with their service. I paid cash but he does accept credit cards which most small time haulers don't, so that's a plus! He also gives receipts. Their prices are fair & listed on their CL ad, small/regular loads 500lbs or less at this time (June 2015) was $120 flat and I believe he goes up to 2500lbs in one load. No upcharging for stairs or other items that I was told of or charged. I've used haulers in other states and that is pretty standard pricing. They were friendly & professional. I texted David pictures of what I needed to be hauled away. He got back to me with a quote that was more than fair. He was very flexible with his availability. Really good communicator - kept me updated as to arrival time which I really appreciated. Came out that same day. Had an amazing helper and the 2 of them banged out that job in no time. They were really careful, very conscientious (asked if we would prefer if they wore masks) and really nice people. I contacted these guys today through their website and they not only got back to me right away, but they were able to come by a few hours later and pick up my junk. The amazing level of professionalism and customer service from scheduling to the actual pick up exceeded my expectations. They were courteous, reasonably priced, on time, quick, and efficient. The price I was quoted was the price I paid and they even cleaned up the site after. I was amazed how quickly and smoothly the entire experience went. I need more stars to click. I reached out to David through their craigslist ad. He told me the two possible rates for load size and not being sure which size load it would be he offered me the lower rate without seeing everything. They showed up very quickly and made short work of loading up everything and cleaned up afterwards. And then I messed up on the tipping on the app which resulted in a $180 overpayment. Before I could get an email back out, he called me when he noticed it and promptly refunded the overpayment. Great guys. Very professional and they do great work. read more

Amazing!! I made it my New Years resolution to clean out my old shop that had been collecting EVERYTHING for years. I called Hauling 101 this morning and was happy to find out they could make time for me this afternoon. Not only were they prompt, polite and professional, but they did a better job than I expected could be done! All I had to do was stand and direct, and they did everything else. It made a task I had been dreading SO easy, the hardest part was finally deciding to do it. My experience with 101 Hauling was less than perfect. I called them off of a craigslist posting and was hesitant to agree to the rate they had posted as I was not sure how to calculate the amount of weight based upon only looking at the piles. I was told by the lady in the office on the phone, "The guys will give you a for sure rate before loading anything in the trailer." "We don't typically do bids, but if you want I can send them your way to get a look. They can tell you if $500 is doable. I can have them there in 30 minutes or so if you like" She than called me and said they already loaded the first load and couldn't do the rest for $500 total but could do it for $600 total. Said we could just pay the $300 and skip the rest if that didn't work. (Note: I was not at the job site while they were picking up) At this point I was a little frustrated that I wasn't called prior to loading the truck I felt obligated to continue as we really needed the debris hauled away. Of course when I got back to the job site a day later I found the rather large pile of sheetrock/building materials still in the pile I had originally provided in an image via text message before discussing the amount to pay over the phone. I'm not one to complain, I usually just don't return if I'm left dissatisfied. I decided to leave this review because I felt taken advantage of. I was told $600 to do the job, I provided pictures and my staff at the job showed 101 hauling staff the debris piles. If the lady would have called me to tell me prior to taking a load that $500 was not doable and that $600 would only take part of the load I would have just ordered a dumpster and got rid of it all. Now we still have to do the dump run we were looking to avoid. I asked the lady to make it right and remove the debris but she wanted to argue and in the end told me she would not honor the agreement I believed we had. read more
