Really strong show... was also cool that they were doing a team up with the center of puppeteering and had a bunch of Jim Henson and puppet creations on display as well as a BTS photo exhibit in one of the rooms. Look forward to visiting again the next time I'm in town.

There was an undeniable stench of marijuana throughout the place upon our entry and a puddle of water on the stairs leading to the basement. The bar is also located downstairs next to the room with the stage. There are a few tables scattered throughout but mostly stand alone chairs. There were about 8 comics total, ranging from funny to raunchy. Some I could relate to, some very hard to understand due to ghetto accents and slang. Overall not a bad show but we would have not ended up here if laughing skull hasn't sold out. Don't sit out front if you don't want to be picked on/made fun of.

I took a class here at Automatic Improv, and to say I felt immediately part of the family is an understatement. They are classy, funny, smart and entrepreneurial as somewhat of an upstart in Atlanta's improv field. During my graduation show I got to do a scene with Kevin where we were bouncers from New Jersey. THAT was a dream come true. ;) Follow the news on this company because they're gonna come back meaner, leaner and stronger than ever very soon.

BUT every time I attend one of these I am left feeling over dressed. I tell myself before I leave home that I'm simply going to do the drinks and movie portion of the evening (which suits my dressier attire) but every time I arrive, they have a show that I can't refuse (Martini's and Imax are located at The Fern bank). The best yet for me was the viewing of Australia. Martinis at the Imax is a nice way to end a stressful day. The drinks are always really good I enjoy the live music that is played. They serve little appetizers but I opted not to try any. I love the setup of everything, shabby chic. I highly enjoyed my experience and I plan on returning in the future. I feel a UYE coming on ;-)

For only about $12 a person, you get to see an IMAX movie (you can see what is playing online) and an evening of live music, dancing and wonderful atmosphere. Drinks will set you back about $9 for a cocktail/martini and a bit less for beer/wine and the food (mostly tapas style) is about $6-$14 per dish, but for a Friday night out, it is not bad. My date and I didn't really know what to expect, but were pleasantly surprised to walk into the grand atrium to find a mass of couples dancing to the smooth jazz. I am not much of a dancer, but how fun to watch, and the band (a New Orleans based Jazz band, I think) were wonderful. You can look online ahead of time to see what band/DJ will be performing the night you are interested in. Their cocktails, albeit not big, were strong and well made. We ordered a "New Old Fashioned" (doc holliday rye whiskey, hum botanical liqueur, simple syrup, orange bitters, orange twist, cherry) and one of their seasonal cocktails (I can't remember the name) that was made with lime and ginger beer. Both were delicious and gone before our movie even started. We elected to see the "Galapagos" IMAX film and we both "oooh"-ed and "ahhhh"-ed the whole time through and gushed about "marine iguanas" and "blue-footed boobies" (yes, child-man date did laugh hysterically every time this one was discussed) to our uninterested friends the rest of the weekend. However, I think that any of the IMAX options would've been just as captivating. I know it sounds pretty awful, but I LOVED feeling a little smarter after a night out. Healium is a small gallery and space full of charming people, music, art, and meditation. I didn't…read moreknow what to expect when a friend of mine mentioned going here to chill and do some painting. Upon arriving the owner warmly welcomed us and then explained what Healium was about: an atmosphere free to play and rejuvenate, essentially. For the painting sessions, you have a choice to paint on a canvas, bottle, or tile plate. To paint it was $10 for the supplies, discount or free if you donated wine or art supplies. The painting sessions aren't lead by anything, there is a base inspiration for the day that you can draw from, but the idea is really to have fun, try not to be overly serious, and just painting. Let go, sort of experience. There are also guided meditations and food toward the back of Healium. I don't go participate in a lot of meditation sessions, so it was really interesting to finally experience a singing bowl for an extended period of time. The open gallery showcases local work from staff and other artists all with either a fantastical theme or meditative spirit in mind. Healium seems to focus a lot on exploration of the soul and letting that blossom. It's also a safe atmosphere to do so. We ended up painting and painting til the place closed up, and still painting. So much for serious? Or maybe just having too much fun.

I visited here to attend a singing bowl concert. The owners are warm, welcoming, wonderful people; the Healium Center reflects the care they've put into this place. I was given a tour; I viewed the private art gallery, owned by the Family. I saw beautiful, vividly colored art featured by local artists. They also host meditations lead by Donna, in an exquisite, eclectic black light room. They also have open jam sessions on Wednesday. I felt so at home, it's unreal. This is an 18+ venue, and they also serve food and drink on certain days as well. Please check this place out. Will I be back??? Of course I will. I absolutely love the Healium Center and you will too!

As we walked in it was a guy playing the drums to hip hop music( he kind of looked like 2PAC). The room was filled with beautiful woman chatting, drinking wine and getting ready to paint. There was wine and light bits on a table in the back of the room. After grabbing some wine and a snack I headed to my seat. Wanda Smith ( V-103)and The owner of the shop Tawana hosted. The owner was very nice and personable, her customer service was great. We had a blast and this is something I would definitely do again.

Access was difficult especially for people with limited mobility, The cigar tent was lacking one thing...CIGARS...Lex 12 are not cigars. Food should be plentiful at this type of event. T It Rocked: liquor flowed like rain and that was great for a Saturday afternoon, the vibe was a lot of like minded people chilling, everyone was very social and fun! Those that came in costume were awesome, hot woman dressed as flappers and a few men properly dressed. Works for me! Enjoyed the burlesque entertainer. Hope they work out the kinks and bring this event back as it has great potential!

So I volunteered at this event and i also got to experience it from an attendee's POV…read more Considering that this was the first year for the event it was pretty good. There are a lot of organizational kinks that really really need to be worked out. They need more signage going towards the area where the event is located. I got lost like 3 times. Also the vendor area i was working in did not leave a lot of information on their product so kind of had to wing it. In the beginning that wasn't too good because the sober people actually wanted information. As the day went on and everyone got more tipsy no one cared. lol. I know a lot of precautionary measures were taken the 2nd day of the event because of the extraordinary amount of people with alcohol poisoning posed a liability issue. I think next year, with more planning and probably more sponsors, this event will be a blast. Oh yeah, if you all didn't know it was for a good cause :-)
