I had the BEST experience yesterday at Pampered and Polished by Lisa and Michelle. I went in for a gel x manicure full set and a gel pedicure. Pedicure was flawless. When it came time for my manicure the result was not so. My set shape and size was too short and pointy. My fingers are short and wide so the nail shape can be complicated and after they were done the nail shape looked like tiny little Doritos. I was crushed. I contemplated saying something because I hate being that person but I was going on a trip. I finally summoned the courage to say I didn't like the shape. It was 5 PM and they close at 7pm. I had already been there for over an hour. Lisa was an angel. She immediately offered to take off the entire set and start over. She was sweet and kind and absolutely wonderful. Michelle finished my new set beautifully. They were both the kindest people. They did not make me feel bad for speaking up and starting over even though they both ended up working twice as long on me. I could not be more happy with my experience. This review is long overdue: Lisa and her team are absolutely amazing! I've been coming here monthly for gel builder nails and gel pedicures since 2024, and every visit has been fantastic. Lisa treats my appointments with care and professionalism. Their selection of colors is impressive, with a perfect mix of trendy and classic options. As someone who loves natural colors, I never feel limited! The quality of their work is exceptional. The different drill bits that Tracy used are to exfoliate the cuticles and around your nail bed, so minimal cutting/trimming is done. I made another appointment through their website for 07.13.26, again with Tracy, to have my gel manicure and gel pedicure removed and this time chose the combination classic manicure and classic pedicure. Basic treatments as before except for regular polish, not gel. Loved every minute of it! I would highly recommend this place! Convenient location. I just can't believe how she treated me today. I may be a slightly picky client, I know that. But why can't you be when you're paying top dollar for a service and coming weekly?! I always give her feedback of her work the next time see her, like: the last mani I had was so beautiful and stayed on for a week! or Hey, last top coat left lines the next day (light pink nails photo) or the polish didn't go to the edge of my nail so it left that part exposed and brittle which caused breakage. First off, I could tell she was in a rush but that doesn't mean I'm not allowed to give feedback or that my appointment is less important than others. I said I'd be happy to forgo my pedicure so I could get a slower manicure. she said "you know what, I may not be the right fit for you so let me just stop". WTF?! I asked her if she had another client because I could tell she was rushing and she said yes. She apparently doesn't believe in pushing back the cuticles too much because it will cause infection. I said why didn't you just tell me that then instead of kicking me out. I'm a reasonable person and it's not like we had any tension before or bad vibes. So weird! She begrudgingly finished my mani (burgundy photo) after I explained is Saturday and no one else can take me last minute. And I still didn't get my pedi. And sure enough, her next client came strolling in one hour after my appointment time. Funny, normally we always allow 1.25-1.5 hours for mani/pedi, not try to cram both in an hour. I'm sorry I had to leave this review, but it was well-earned. Hai could have done 20 awful manis on me and I still would not have left a bad review if she was nice. And there was one time she completely forgot about my appointment and had to drive down to the shop after I called her. Again, don't really care about that, we are all human. But the service today (or lack there of) was horrendous and just negated every prior experience I'd had. It was completely awful and made me feel like crap. In response to the Salon's reply: A quick "I don't feel comfortable pushing back your cuticles" would have sufficed instead of abruptly quitting the job and me having to talk her into finish it. I didn't want a free mani. I wanted good customer service.
