I have to thank New York City for single handedly stopping my cigar addiction. Having a tiny apartment with no balcony has forced my hand in stopping me from smoking multiple cigars a week. Although I am a believer that cigars are a healthy alternative to cigarettes, don't believe Big Health's lies. All this to say, when I got to my hotel in Clearwater with a balcony looking out over the Gulf of America, I felt like a crack fiend having seen a crack spoon for the first time in months. I NEED IT... I whipped out apple maps and looked up Tobacco shops, and Havana Exclusive Cigars popped up. I hopped on a beach cruiser bike the hotel provided and made my way over. I walked into the lounge and shook my head when I saw my Lakers getting DRUMMED by the Twolves on the huge TV in the shop. I walked past the thrashing to the humidor, and the lady that worked there came in and asked if I needed any help. She informed me her dad owns the shop and she recommended these cigars they hand roll in house. "He smokes more of these than he sells..." Sold. Done. I don't need to hear anything else. I bought 3 and smoked them all within 24 hours. For me, there is no replacement for a good cigar, a black coffee, and writing these dumb reviews that no one will ever read on a balcony overlooking a body of water. Amazing experience! My friends got married in Clearwater, and the Groomsmen happened across Havana Exclusive Cigars. The groom got a Dragon Gurkha. He raved about how good it was. So I flew home and wanted to get another one for him. I called and spoke to the mom. Told her the story about how wonderful Lecfy ( I hope I spelled that right) was. A wonderful young lady. She called her daughter, and she remembered us and the cigar! So I had them ship one to me. If there is a black Corvette in the parking space, don't look at it! While visiting Clearwater Tampa, wife and I were on our way to breakfast at 10:30 am, and saw this place next to the restaurant we were going to eat at. Wife wanted a good coffee. She found it here. Instead of her usual Latte, she got a Cuban coffee. The lady working there was helpful and pleasant. She's puffing a cigar that early so i had a beer. Didn't get a cigar, but if I was in the mood that's the place I'd go. Wife had a second coffee, and allowed my wife to take it in the small mug next door to the restaurant. Entitled little brat tried to tell my bf and I to move our motorcycles because we were parked in her spot. There were 5 other open spots in the lot and we were already parked headed to a business within the plaza. When we returned to leave, she began harassing us, telling us her daddy owns the store and we should have just moved because she said so. She parked her car TWO whole spots away in a HANDICAP spot bc she was too lazy and feeling too entitled to park like everyone else (first come, first served basis). Like other reviewers have pointed out these people are really really shady. We stopped by for some Cuban coffee. They had no menu/pricelist which should have been enough of a warning for us. We ordered a three double shots, a single shot and a black coffee. While making the drinks the guy at the counter mentioned that 'we better be really f***ing good tippers'. And of course the worst part was the prices. $50 for those 5 coffees including $12 for the black coffee. Simply put, terrible customer service and a complete price ripoff. read more

I didn't like this because it wasn't appealing enough to me. The cigars were overpriced. For example an Aurora was $29 when it's price is around $18. Avo was $23 when it's price is around $10. There were two young ladies tending the store for their father. We walked in for coffee and were greeted in a very welcoming and professional manner. The coffee was truly the best Cuban coffee we've ever had.....puts Starbucks to shame. It was truly gratifying to help support a local family owned business as I had my own business for over 20 years and know how difficult it can be but also the pride that comes with providing quality service to customers. This is the place to enjoy a cigar and glass of beer/wine (or coffee). The owners are friendly and the cigar selection is on point. Not a huge selection, but quality over quantity. Even in this touristy town, there are a lot of locals and regulars here, which says a lot for a place. There is a good variety of brands like Rocky Patel, Olivia, Camacho and very good hand rolled cigars. There is about 12 beers on tap with some local brews (i.e. Cigar City's Jai Alai), imports (i.e. Stella, Negro Modelo), and the standards (i.e. Miller Light). Wine selection offers all expected options from Pinot Grigio to Zinfandel. Prices are reasonable considering the location...right on the beach! Owner is a Cuban immigrant and has owner rolled artesian cigars. They are pricey but they are a high quality roll and taste amazing. Don't get the commercial stuff. His son was very helpful pointing out mild, medium and heavy smokes and he was on point. Everything was $16 to $25, but they are all work of art and worth it. Prices for things in a vacation spots never surprise me $10 for a Cuban coffee shouldn't shock anyone. At least you are supporting small business and not Starbucks. read more

When I see the words "Havana" or "Cuba" in a cigar shop name, it immediately turns me off, to be honest. No shops in the United States of America can legally sell Cuban cigars, so using said words to describe a shop comes across as a lie from the giddy-up. However, I would never completely let the name of a shop bar me from visiting and checking out the selections. This shop is small, and is dominated by a centrally located bar with 8-10 bar stools. This makes up the bulk of the seating, aside from a L-shaped leather couch along the front windows. The humidor is probably average in size, but was lacking something very important--cigars! I counted 35 boxes that were acting as placeholders, and nothing more; all empty. This made the selection extremely limited, but I was able to find a stick that I've been wanting to try, the Avo Fogata. The only size available was the toro, which was fine. Online, they retail for about $10 a stick, but here they charge $15. That's a strong mark up, but then again real estate on Clearwater Beach isn't cheap, so I can forgive the price. It's just not a place I could afford to smoke at on a daily basis. The atmosphere was unique, but worked in terms of ambiance, ventilation and decor, and I found the staff to be very friendly. I guess if I had to make a change, I'd put in a real sound system for music, as opposed to the Latin restaurant/karaoke bar speak in the corner. Beyond that, and the lack of cigars in the humidor, I found it to be a very relaxing spot. read more

BEWARE!! Against better judgement, I allowed the owner to sell me a "Cuban" cigar. I knew it was fishy as there was no label on the box and the label on the cigar itself wasn't correct. He was insistent that he was an honorable man and would never sell fakes. I decided to take him at his word, thinking at worse, I would have an average cigar. Within 5 minutes the cigar started burning uneven. Shortly thereafter, the cigar split down the middle. I have had several Cohibas via Canada. This was not an authentic Cuban Cohiba. Owner is a liar and knowingly sells fake goods. Cigars in their walk in humidor were limited and overpriced. read more

Disappointing. There are two cigar bars on the island...across the street from each other. The decor of this one is more straight up cigar bar which was appealing, but the bartender wasn't terribly helpful, had to run my card twice - one for the espresso (which wasn't sweetened Cuban style), and once for a pretty over-priced non-label cigar. The stick was fine, but the selection in the humidor was piss-poor. Best thing here is the gelato place next door! Check out Fusion cigar lounge across the street instead. read more
