First timers here. We ordered online, easy and customizable, but it's a good thing we checked the bag when we arrived, because one whole portion of our order was missing. Two members of our group were able to eat, but the third had to wait...and then when they brought it over, it was missing the fries and the drink. We all ordered the "country" style chicken, i.e. no spice. It was flavorful, crispy but not greasy, fresh out of the fryer, and almost too hot to eat right away. The sliders were unsatisfying and small, while The Sandwich was enormous and messy. Sadly, utensils were nowhere to be found. I can't handle spice and that's why I went for mild but my mouth was burning. (Took 2 tums immediately when I got home). So be careful if you're more sensitive. My first time trying one of this local chains places and it was a great find and certainly better than one of those "mega" chains. Service was quick and I ordered the chicken sandwich. Got it with a medium seasoning which had a long but not overwhelming kick to it. The chicken itself was top shelf and bigger than the potato bun it was on. If it's your first visit you HAVE to order "The Sandwich" and their "hot" is the perfect level if you like it spicy! Went today for lunch. Super friendly staff, we ate in and they brought our order over and checked in to make sure we liked everything. Hot chicken is HOT! I got the mild and it had a zip to it. My coworkers got the medium and both said it was hot (but they loved it) I got THE chicken sandwich and it was huge and delicious. Coworkers both for the Mac'n'cheese bowls. It's a bit pricey but is delicious and portions are generous. Had a craving for chicken tenders today and decided to get the 3 piece mild tendies from Haven Hot Chicken. I have had the chicken before and I remember it being juicy on the inside, crunchy on the outside and super flavorful despite being the "mild" version. The portion was large and filling. Luckily for me, the second time around was just as tasty. But what really made my day was the amazing service. I was encouraged to try the Rob sauce and they weren't wrong-- it's delicious. I also love the ranch. The manager asked if I had ever tried the banana pudding (probably because I couldn't stop staring at it on the menu) and actually gave me their new toffee version free to try. It's so good. Decadent and sweet- a great way to end a lightly spicy chicken tendies lunch. I highly recommend it as a little treat to end a satisfying meal! There isn't much seating, but this place is perfect for to-go orders with fast, friendly service. The restaurant was immaculately clean and organized. They clearly take pride in their work. We've been to 5 of the 7 Haven Hot locations now, and Newington did not disappoint! I tried their new limited-time garlic parm sandwich, which was delicious that I hope they add it to the menu permanently! We also enjoyed the Mac bowl, and even though my fiancé ordered it pretty spicy, the sweat heat and cheese sauce cut it to a level that I could even tolerate it at. I liked that this location has more seating than a lot of the others - I might even make the drive out to this one just because of that! read more

My friends warned me about this place (the Newington location) but i went anyways, and my friends were correct. The chicken was excellent (the chicken tendie) the chicken was excellent however the wait was painfully way too long. I waited 22 minutes for 2 little tiny chicken tendie sandwiches. then when i got the sandwiches they were wrong . but that is not the point, mistakes can happen. the point is that if you want a great chicken sandwich but are only on a lunch break i suggest another location. I had a medium spiced tender.( They call it a tendie) Think of all the characteristics you want in a tender. Moist , flavorful, juicy . That's what haven Hot chicken brings to the table every time. This was my second experience there. The first time I tried their spiciest and second spiciest. Both were terrific. I have a large tolerance and affinity for spicy food. If that is what you like you'll be coming to the right place. This time I had their medium spiced which was a little less spicy but was SCRUMPTIOUS.
