Tucked away in the corner of a shopping mall, this fried chicken joint is home to some of the best fried chicken in CT. Upon taking the first bite out of their chicken sandwich, called (drumroll)-- "The Sandwich", my mind immediately went: How in the world did I miss this place??? You get your choice of your usual fried chicken (tenders, sandwiches and fried cauliflower that looks like chicken) + you can pick your heat level (spiciness) when you order. My kids love their meal boxes and the mac&cheese. The place is relatively new. It's clean and the staff is super friendly. If they ever add organic and gluten free options on their menu, I would probably start eating there every day. read more

First off, my online order got messed up due to their staff training so it was delayed and probably sitting on the shelf for 30 minutes. Still a bit hot though when got home. Unfortunately the first bite- overall flavor did not wow me like the first time I had that 'famous chicken sandwich' at another fast food place. The price is high - 13 bucks for a fast sandwich. But they do give a very generous size of chicken and the chicken is VERY good quality, which is hard to find. Though I would have liked it a bit juicier and less dry. It said it came with rob sauce but the sandwich needed more sauce, so I suggest asking for extra sauce. Came with one little pickle. More would have made it tastier. They charge for extra pickles, too. In fact, if you want this sandwich to be loaded and tastier/juicier- I figure it would come to 15 bucks. The mild had a little spice but to me tasted too salty. Got my mom the country plain and she didn't complain. Which is a shocker coming from her. Good quality chicken, could be more generous with the sauce and toppings but overall I would rate it a new place to definitely give a try to in the area. read more

Tried Haven Hot Chicken for the first time and had a wonderful experience! The extreeeemely friendly staff helped me explore the menu and decide what I would like best. I don't like spicy at all so I got the country style tendies. I did get honey to add onto my chicken which was delicious. The Mac and cheese had a great cheesy, peppery flavor. 4/5 stars because I ended up spending about $40 for two people. However, quality was excellent! read more

I was excited to try this place, especially with more locations popping up around CT. The chicken was quite good--crispy and flavorful--and the sauces were enjoyable. However, I wasn't impressed with the mac and cheese; the sauce was very thin and lacked cheesiness, which might have been an issue with that particular batch. WOW for 2 reasons. UNBELIEVABLE FOOD, BUT at an ASTRONOMICAL PRICE! This place has phenomenal food, seriously one of the best chicken sandwiches I've ever had. Juicy, tasty, sandwich stays together, perfection. BUT, holy shit is it expensive!!! I mean, drastically more expensive than going anywhere else for your average lunch. I paid $26 for lunch. And I was quite frustrated, because cashier kept up selling me without actually telling me they were additional charges. I paid for a combo, which should've been $16 which seems extremely reasonable!! But because of the certain side and drink choice I had, it racked up to $26 which just seems genuinely absurd. I truly was going to rate this place a 3 star straight off the bat because of that, but I am seriously impressed with the food. Top notch. Wish it was more reasonable in price, I'd drive 30 minutes every day for this place!! But it's gonna have to be more of a specialty/once every couple weeks type place. read more

Southern fairfield county needs more hot chicken joints. The chicken at Haven is pretty solid. Like it's Nashville north star, Hattie B's, the tenders are high quality chicken and very large. The breading is a little bit too crunchy and thick, but overall a solid execution on hot chicken. I would dial up your spice level a little higher than you typically like as the mild had almost zero heat and medium was pretty tame. Chicken is very good, although it can be a bit dry as they give you a very generous amount of dusted seasoning that can make it a bit dry. The price is also quite high, the service is perfectly fine although the interior is very cold and not particularly comforting. read more

I was so excited for this place to finally open. The chicken is juicy and the portions are very good albeit a little over priced. The tender meal comes with three HUGE tenders and a side. The mild was just the right amount of spice for me. I do however wish the Mac and cheese was a little more flavorful. The service was great and everyone is super helpful and friendly. I had medium tenders which were a mellow spice level - will go hot next time. Fantastic ranch dressing on the side. Mac & cheese was super black pepper heavy and the pasta was overdone (despite being there around noon). Wow! I love this place. I have order from Haven three times and love it. I've never had "Hot Chicken" before. "THE Sandwich is great. The piece of chicken is huge and perfectly cooked. I've had the "Hot" once and it was too hot for me and I normally like things hot. The Mild was perfect. The bun and the slaw topping were great. The order of fries was also quite large. This will definitely make it into my take out rotation. Might try the Banana Pudding, I need something sweet. Also wouldn't mind onion rings, but I'm quite happy with the "THE Sandwich" read more

Customer service is beyond words! I previously ordered dinner for my family as take out and realized I was shorted on my order. Received a response from the Norwalk, CT location within 15 minutes of submission of my experience; actually didn't even expect any response at all considering my feedback was to an automated email from my online order. I was offered an apology and different remediation actions were taken / provided immediately without me having to re-explain / repeat the problem. This location recognized an issue and definitely gone above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. They made me feel like they valued my business and that I was an important patron to them.
