I recently visited Haven Spa for my friend's bridal party and was pleasantly surprised by this little gem in Rhinebeck. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by a warm and attentive staff and peaceful surroundings. My massage was unbelievably relaxing, followed by a sublime facial. In between services, we were able to mingle with a glass of champagne. I was happy that Haven Spa helped me make my friend's wedding weekend a special one. I love Haven Spa! It's not cheap but it is a quality spa with skilled and friendly professionals. I took my mom to Rhinebeck, NY for the day and the spa is conveniently located right in the middle of town next to many adorable shops and trendy restaurants. It was the perfect day! Received a gift certificate and went for a foot massage and pedicure. As someone who works on my feet all day this was heaven - the care given, the creams and heat wraps, so soothing and so well done. The atmosphere is calming as soon as you enter and the staff professional and personable. I will definitely schedule another session and try other treatments in the future. read more

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. My masseuse was coughing and blowing her nose the entire time ("allergies"). I woke up the next day with a cold that turned into bronchitis after never being sick for 4 years. I received a gift certificate from my boyfriend and had to use, first time going here today even though I live in rhinebeck. I signed up for the manicure, shellac. The staff are very nice and the setting is very relaxing. However for a 45 minute gel manicure, the outcome is less than desired. There are lumps in three nails only noticing my thumb while in the seat. I mentioned it looked messed up to which I was told the top coat usually evens it out. It did not even out and stepping into the daylight after my appointment, terribly disappointed, my pinky and ring finger nail have even worse bumps, nail Polish raised , almost as if the gel didn't cure correctly (see pics). I've done better gel manicures at home. Obviously something happened in the process and nothing was said to me by the manicurist. Manicures and gel nail Polish are not their strong suit, wouldn't go back for the service. $45 for this, no way. read more

Haven is the best! I go there all the time for massages. I've tried different people every time and it's been amazing every time I've gone. Everyone that works there is super professional and makes you feel at home right away. I play lots of sports and I always have issues with my back, every massage therapist is very knowledgeable and careful with me. I recommend this place to everybody! read more

We recently had a large bachelorette party there and everyone had nothing but great things to say about their services. Ellen was very helpful when planning out logistics and we were able to get all 15 girls into services in 4 hours - impressive! We rented out a room so we could all stay together while waiting for our services and we were also able to bring in our catered lunch. Complimentary champagne was a nice surprise! This is not a great place for manicures and pedicures. The technician I had clearly did not have experience doing a dark red polish and made a mess. The polish application was thick and uneven. It took 1 hour 45 min for a basic mani and pedi which is a ridiculous amount of time. And, it was not cheap $65. I got home and took it off. Not to mention the technician had a bad attitude when she realize the application was not good. Don't go there for nails. read more

Today my girlfriend and I arrived for our scheduled, confirmed appointments to find out there was some sort of "glitch" in the computer causing our appointments to have been scheduled at different times, hours apart. We traveled an hour to get there and explained that we weren't happy to the two girls at the front desk but they were less than interested in re-accommodating us because of their mistake. They offered us nothing, by far thee poorest customer service I have ever received in a spa. Completely ruined our girls day. I'll be happy to take my business elsewhere. read more

You could not ask for a better experience from start to finish than the one you will receive at Haven Spa. I wanted to surprise me girlfriend with an afternoon of massages and scrubs and after doing much research Haven emerged as the overwhelming best option. They were incredibly accommodating when I called to ask question after question about the different packages...they even arranged to have a glass of champagne waiting for us both in between our massage and scrub. This is a nice place for a relaxing treatment, and a great place for a quick waxing service done the right way. I have done eyebrows, bikini, etc., at Haven, and it was always a great, painless experience. I've been very happy with the results, and the technicians have always been very skilled and fast. My eyebrows have always been sensitive and I find most waxing painful, but at Haven it is virtually painless. Massages & manicure/pedicures are nice as well, but not anything to write home about. It's a great place to give a gift certificate to, or to take an out-of-town visitor, because of the beauty of the surrounding town. I would definitely return, especially for my essential waxing treatments. read more

***Update*** A few days later I received a call from the director at Haven offering her apologies about my experience and offered to make it right. She also explained they do not have nail dryers at this time and that the women before me had a shellac treatment before me. I've had better experiences that cost less money. Was disappointed in the massage room alot of light and noise from the front desk, was not relaxing. For the amount of money that was spent I wanted to walk away totally satisfied and relaxed. Haven is over rated :( definately not worth it. read more

first time going; place is absolutely amazing. so beyond relaxing, staff super friendly! love that it's in an old renovated house! the first room they bring you into was so zen and they had lemon water and ginger tea. both of us were so happy with our massages. i had made 4 appointments between my boyfriend and i. we had a change of plans so i called and canceled. they only canceled one for each of us still leaving one for each of us (at this time i dind't know nor did they what had happened). they were very rude! they pretty much said i never called to cancel our appointments. it took me looking into the online booking to realize what had happened. meanwhile i had called approx. 4 time in a two week period to see why they charged my credit card when i called and cancelled. every time i was told that someone would call me back and that they had to check with the owner to see if i could get a refund because they didn't have any record of me calling. the final result was me getting my money back but the time and aggravation it took is not worth dealing with them again. beware and always get the name of the person you spoke with! read more

I made an appointment for myself and 2 girlfriends for pedicures. We were really looking forward to a actual spa pedicure and not the typical nail salon. We got there and were very rudely greeted by the receptionist telling us "since whoever Made the appointment had to rush off the phone I never got the phone number and we only have 1 tech available today so we can't do all 3 at once and I had no way to contact you" well, my one girlfriend actually called a few days before to schedule an add on to the appointment so they could have easily mentioned it then also we asked if there was any other service they can do and she said no. I have heard such great things about this spa, I am really disappointed. They should have never blamed it on the customer, regardless if I had to rush off the phone, She should have asked for a number. Or at least should have had some other options to present to us when we got there. Will not give them another chance read more
