My husband and I tried all they had to offer (except for the gym haha). Both saunas in the locker rooms are lovely, very zen relaxing room with a tea station and a giant hot tub. I had such a fun time at this place. I had a day past which got you 6 hours in the spa and gym (not including extra treatments). This was my first spa experience ever and I really enjoyed all that they had to offer. Great gym facilities and that paired with the Saunas and Hot tub made for a very relaxing afternoon. Beware all drinks are very expensive- but also very delicious! The only reason that I have deducted a star was because of the absolutely freezing shower I took after getting all sweaty and chlorine-y from the spa experiences. My sister and I both had the coldest showers of our lives here, which really disrupted the calm serenity that the visit left me with. I the couldn't bear it for much longer than a few seconds literally had to sit in the sauna for a few minutes afterwards to return my body to normal temperature. read more

Beware gift card scams and inept administration! Spa itself is lovely. Front office people seemingly friendly and helpful. Been there twice. Once mid week and the other on the weekend, for massage. Mid week experience was great. Quiet enough and good, strong massage therapist. Weekend experience wasn't. Massage therapist was robotic, disconnected, unresponsive to cues or requests, and had rough dry skin hands. Not worth any of the $$ or time because it was not a relaxing massage. Of greater concern is the administration of this spa. They sold gift cards and at time of purchase said they could be located by phone number or email. When it was time to redeem, they sang a very different tune and actually tried to make me pay twice to cover their inability to locate a gift card despite being presented with physical receipts and all supporting details. That they expect their clientele to bear the cost of their ineptitude is completely unacceptable. We work hard for the money. Evidently harder than they do! Any other vendor this day and age can locate a gift card with the most basic of information. It feels intentional and dishonest that they say they cannot. Front desk says they have no knowledge of gift card process, despite having sold the gift card gladly in the first place and assuring me it could be located even without physically presenting the card. They also say they can't take action over the weekend. Then they say to wait a few days. It's been over ten days since this was raised. Reporting them. So disappointed. read more

This has been on my radar for months and I was so glad that we were able to go this past weekend. My college girlfriends and I booked a spa day. We started off with a yoga Vinyasa class, each of us had spa appointments which included facials, massages and body treatments. The facility was beautiful. The women's locker room was very nice and spacious. We took an opportunity to indulge in the sauna. The relaxation room was exactly what it should be, relaxing. Stayed for two nights encourage me to buy a special package that was supposed to save me $500 but it was over $2000 for two nights, including dinner The drinks were literally 1 inch tall for over $20. That was ridiculous. The other thing that was crazy was I canceled my facial for 275 at 10 in the morning and they still charge me $50 I would like to go back, but I don't feel like I was treated as a person. This review is just for Willow, the restaurant, since I didn't stay over. I stopped in for a quick bite and drink and sat at the bar. The cucumber martini was perfect - a nice flavor and very refreshing but not sweet. And the Willow Salad (mixed greens, shaved veggies, heirloom tomatoes, shallot balsamic vinaigrette) was delicious! Another great experience at Mirbeau! My friends and I spent several hours getting facials, pedicures, and relaxing at the Aqua Terrace. We had a wonderful day, being taken care of by top notch staff! Even though it was January, you can still enjoy the Aqua Terrace hot tub, heated cabanas, and fireplace sitting area. Cocktails at the outdoor bar definitely add to your enjoyment! If you're looking for a quiet, peaceful getaway that's a short drive from the city, an option might be Mirbeau Resort and Spa. But be cautioned, there is next to nothing to do up there. However, the hotel itself is very nice. People are friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Their village view is really just the parking lot so don't expect much. The spa was okay. Wasn't the best massage I ever had and also quite expensive. I recommend this place if you're desperate to get out of the city to enjoy a couple days of pure laziness. read more

As of right now, we've paid $700 for two 50 minute massages. Our story: my wife purchased a $300 gift certificate for a couple's massage online. She immediately received a confirmation of payment email. But this email, it turns out, is not the gift certificate. We learned this while we were checking out after our sessions. The woman at the front desk explained, unhelpfully, that she could not honor the proof of purchase email nor could she help resolve the situation as "the gift certificate department is separate." The confirmation of payment email had an address to send an email to if the gift certificate is not received buried in the bottom of the text. We sent this address an email as we were waiting at the front desk. We immediately received an auto-generated email (which appears to have been written in 2024) that said we could expect a reply in 96 hours. So I guess the countdown has begun. The woman at the front desk apologized for "the confusion" when we left. Mirabeau took $300 for a gift certificate, didn't send it, didn't reach out, and won't resolve the situation immediately. Not sure "confusion" really captures it. The massages were great. The meditation room's nice but people talk a lot which is kind of annoying. Customer service / reservation operators / front desk ... Staying for 3 nights in December in the Executive suite with adjoining rooms, and honestly, I am not sure if Mirbeau deserves 3 or 4 stars for several reasons - 1) rooms are well-appointed, but the layouts are awkward 2) spa is average for the resort fee 3) on-sight restaurant (Willow by Charlie Palmer) is average compared to NYC (with prices comparable to NYC). I realize that we're in COVID times, but we're not a high maintenance crew as we normally turn down daily housekeeping anyways and we like to keep to ourselves. Even if they are short-staffed like everywhere else, Mirbeau does not go out of their way to provide an exceptional guest experience compared to hotels in the same class. I suppose it's good enough if you have to stay in Rhinebeck and the Beekman Arms is sold out, but it could have been so much more...Mirbeau could have been another great reason to come to Rhinebeck. Very disappointed. The front desk and housekeepers were great. However, the spa burned my face and are still charging me for the ! No one will get back to me and the burnt out attendant didn't even apologize. They nickel and dime you here for everything despite the very high prices. Two examples are they charge you full price for half empty bottles of lotions and soaps you use when you are there and charging for iced tea refills. They even ask you to tip the housekeepers even though they are charging over 500$ a night. If you do go there, don't go to the spa or eat at the restaurant read more

After two uneventful dining experiences at "Willow" I again parked on Oak St and walked to the overly pretentious monstrosity called Mirabeau (don't even think you can find parking anywhere near "The Castle" I chose a "Inspire" 4 piece travel size gift set $38 and small candle tin $18. I proceeded to the counter across the hall to pay for my items where there were 3 employees at the main desk. My transaction was quick, but lacking in friendly customer interaction. I took my mom here for her birthday gift, which we delayed due to Covid-19. This establishment does not fall short of 5 stars. We were greeted immediately upon entering and walked to the spa. Once checked in we were walked to our assigned lockers that had towels, rubber sandals, a robe, and a water bottle in it. We first used the sauna then we checked out the outdoor heated whirlpool. It was surrounded by a lounge area with a fire place. Outside you can order beverages and items to snack on, we had a hummus and mimosas. We waited in the relaxation room until it was time for the massage. The massage was amazing. The room was also very nice, and modern. There was also a fireplace in there as well. The staff that we encountered throughout our visit were very kind and helpful. The locker room was constantly being cleaned. The showers were very clean. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and I look forward to returning and staying over night. read more

This is my second visit and it is a wonderful experience here. My first time was with my husband for a couples weekend away and we were so pleased with the service, accommodations and atmosphere, I just had to come back. This time I came with my mother for a girls weekend for her birthday and we got an amazing huge room. So spacious. The spa just opened back up not too long ago since COVID-19. Some amenities are still unavailable such as the open gym and steam room, but everything is pretty much the same. They also took away somethings like the mini bar in the rooms and tea area in the quiet room, but it's completely understandable. They removed them to avoid less areas for guests to touch. All staff are wearing face coverings and guest as are asked to wear them as well in common areas, again understandable. We had breakfast in our room this morning. Hot coffee, pastry, fruit and avocado toast. It was all delicious We scheduled a body treatment which was the body firming wrap and it was amazing, I feel so clean and exfoliated. And our stay isn't over. I'm looking forward to the whirlpool again outside later and some more good eats. read more

Beautiful new hotel. Has only been open 2 months or so. So we took that into consideration on our rating. No reason it couldn't be five star once they work the kinks out and get the service level up to what it should be. Building is beautiful and well laid out for a small resort/spa. Underground parking for guests is nice especially when it snowed and we were there. Built to look like a French manor with paintings and decor to match. Very tastefully done. We came here for a quick getaway. It is easy walking distance to the town of Rhinebeck which has some really great shops and restaurants if you don't want to eat onsite at willow. Beds are comfy and warm with nice decor and seating by a fireplace. Lots of room in them. Spa is delightful and the staff was excellent ( see Sal or Ben for great deep tissue) and all the staff knew what they were doing and truly helped us relax. Front desk staff was welcoming and TJ did a great job throughout our stay to make sure we were happy and checked in on how we were doing and enjoying our stay. So why the 4 stars. Quite honestly there were some items that need improvement and until they are improved it isn't warranted. Most of them stem from how clean the common areas were in most of the resort. Our room was immaculate and clean. The carpet in the restaurant wasn't vacuumed, elevator cab floor wasn't either. The same holds true with the spa locker rooms. Fixtures and everything else was spotless. Floors could be done better. We look forward to returning again! We are sure they will hit their stride and be a great place to visit all the valley has to offer. read more

I had high hopes for the Mirbeau. We stayed in early September for a wedding nearby and made a proper weekend away out of it. The room looked nice at first, but there were certain things that struck me as off -- the bathroom felt sort of grimy. We ordered room service on the first night because the welcome dinner for the wedding was not really great for our diets, and the room service food was really sub-par. We had salmon that was just not very good. The only good part about it was the spinach it was served with. The location was great, as was the complimentary parking (though when you consider the cost of a stay for a weekend, it's not exactly "free"). We treated ourselves to a spa afternoon before the wedding, and it was perhaps the worst part of the whole visit. The manicure and pedicure were the worst I've ever had. I was so upset that I ended up walking to CVS for polish remover. I didn't complain then because I didn't want to have to face the manicurist. He was nice, but honestly, just not good at what he did. The massage was also terrible. I was 12 weeks pregnant and they treated me like I was about to deliver. I've had prenatal massages before in a previous pregnancy, and this was a joke in comparison. The service staff were very friendly, but other than that, I can't imagine coming back here. I'd rather try one of the other charming properties nearby or in neighboring towns. read more

Mirbeau is always on the list of stops while visiting Rhinebeck. If we're not staying there we typically will indulge in an amenities day pass for the spa. Reasonably priced and includes all the luxuries for an afternoon of self care. Uniquely designed to enjoy on your own, with your significant other or with a small group of friends. Don't skip the lovely indoor lounge area - a dark and relaxing cove with cold eucalyptus washcloths to melt away the stresses of life. An aperol spritz by the outdoor jacuzzi helps with that as well. I prefer the outdoor area in the cooler months as the jacuzzi is HOT. The only thing missing from this oasis is a cold plunge. Maybe a future upgrade? read more

Just OK and not worth the expensive cost. Came here with two friends to celebrate a birthday. There was a bottle of champagne in the room when we arrived with a card, so that was a nice touch. We poured a few drinks, put on our robes and headed downstairs to the outdoor jacuzzi only to find it was closed (they let us go out there anyway). On our way out, we were told we couldn't bring our glasses out to the jacuzzi (which made sense) but they replaced our glasses with paper coffee cups. A place that charges what they do for rooms and services should not be giving coffee cups to drink champagne from. The staff, while helpful at times, didn't really make things relaxing for us. Each time we asked someone for something or for help with something, we were told we had to ask someone else. I came here to relax - not to have to roam the property to find the person/place I need to go for the simplest things (spa sandals, drinks etc). The amenities were not fully explained to us so we missed out on things. We were told we couldn't drink in the relaxation section, but saw others with drinks. Apparently their drinks were permitted because it came with their package but the rest of us regular people are not allowed to drink in the same area that they are in. I also was expecting someone to come around taking drink orders, which didn't happen. Dinner at the Willow was good but options were limited. Breakfast was overpriced - $18 for a BLT? We did have one staff member (who may have been a manager) deliver drinks to our room at the end of the night, which was the best part lol. For the price we paid, I was expecting more service and attentiveness. People specifically come to spas/resorts looking to relax and I didn't feel very relaxed. I was also floored by their massage prices and think it's a bit ridiculous to charge more on the weekend. I've never seen a spa have a 50 minute massage - it's usually at least 60 minutes. The hotel itself is very nice and our room was very nice as well but I doubt I would return. read more

My husband and I went to Mirbeau for our 1 year anniversary. To say it was the thing we looked forward to the most in 2020 was an understatement. (Dang COVID) The staff was lovely and accommodated a few special touches to make our 1 year anniversary feel so special. The couples massage was amazing and we enjoyed our facials. The only downside to the facial was that there was no steam due to COVID but they used hot towels as a replacement. I enjoyed being able to be in the steam room and sauna BY MYSELF and the outdoor jacuzzi area is top notch. The food was hands down delicious as well! I ordered the burger during brunch, enjoyed lots of cocktails and their tomato risotto with the steak for dinner is a MUST. If I could rate them a 10 I would! Highly recommend. read more

The room had a cozy gas fireplace, surprisingly spacious bathroom, and everything felt very fresh and new. The restaurant downstairs, Willow, was the surprise star for me--one of the best steaks I've ever had, truly a great dining experience. My only gripe is the TV wasn't set up to accommodate streaming services, but it sounds like they are working on getting a new system in place. Would definitely go back!! read more

It was nice after our massage they gave us a complimentary glass of champagne for our anniversary. They were so lovely. We went there for a bridal celebration and thanks to COVID we had to reschedule and push back until everything was safe. They were amazingly clean, kept everyone distant, and went beyond to keep us safe. The massage I got from Darrell was one of the best in my life. Due to all the shifts in scheduling they wanted to go above and beyond and gave us some comp cards for drinks. Once at the restaurant we had some delicious food (crab toast is a must) and they sent over an appetizer for us as we were celebrating. We also brought in cupcake which they took upon themselves to embellish on the plate with a scoop of ice cream sprinkled with freeze dried raspberries. So kind! We were totally reassured that the proper measures where taken to ensure our safety. Everything was fine until we came back from dinner in town to an overwhelming smell of weed that was coming through the vents in the bathroom suite. Two calls to the desk... they claimed they had no way of knowing where it was coming from despite their No Smoking policy. So we had to put towels in front of the closed door to block the odor which lingered for hours. No soaking tub for me. At check out I asked for a discount/refund since the experience was ruined & they gave me 10%. Even as a member of the spa that was like $50 of the total bill. No one ever came up... checked in. No apologies. So lesson is yes, you might get a "High End European get-away" (Hotel Business) but you might also get "prom night at a local motel." And management doesn't care either way. 80 minute drive (from westchester) to paradise in RBK. a wonderful new asset for Rhinebeck. beautifully designed, superbly staffed (shout-out to billy at the front desk) and abundant activities and things to do in the area. just go there and relax and enjoy. my wife and I met our daughter and family for brunch on Mother's Day then the two of us stayed over till Monday. the staff could not have been more hospitable and helpful. every where you turn you are impressed with the details and quality of the property. our room had a simulated fireplace; two comfortable chairs and a table facing the fireplace and glass French doors that opened for a nice view. the bathroom and the overall design are right out of architectural digest. stunning. no detail too small. a very cozy library w fireplace to sit and relax and wonderful spa w whirlpool pool and more. restaurant has well prepared and plated dishes that are not outrageously priced. free convenient indoor parking and a one minute walk into RBK to shop or dine at a large variety of restaurants and cafes . highly recommended - you will unwind and truly enjoy the experience - you deserve it! be well. I was really looking forward to spending the day with my daughter at the spa, but ended up walking out. There was a discrepancy about the time of our appointments. I had booked two massages on a Wednesday afternoon for 3:00 ( I wasn't thrilled with the time, but was told it was all that was available and we could come early to enjoy the spa's amenities) we were about an hour away when we received a phone call from the Spa about our 11:00 appointment. The girl was very nice and I explained that I had booked with their main branch and that our appointments were at 3. We discussed that there was an obvious disconnect somewhere, and she said she was able to offer us a 2:00 and 3:00 because she didn't have any massage appointments together. We said that would be fine and drove the hour up to Rhinebeck. When we walked into the spa we were greeted by the nice girl we had spoken to on the phone. A couple of minutes later, Danielle the manager (a very snooty woman with a superiority complex) comes to the front desk and tells me she is charging us a "rescheduling" fee of $60 because we missed our 11:00 appointment. I explained to her that our appointment was at 3:00 and I was not going to pay a rescheduling fee. It became very clear to me that she thought my daughter and I were late for our appointments and were trying to pull a fast one. She wanted me to show her proof on my phone of when I made the appointment among other things. Her requests were ridiculous and absurd. To say she was unprofessional and condescending is an understatement. As a business owner, I was having a really hard time digesting the fact that she would actually talk to a customer the way she did to us! I was very disappointed about the series of events that took place, as I was really looking forward to spending the day with my daughter, but felt that we would now not be able to relax and enjoy the day, My friends and I frequent spas in the area regularly, and after hearing about the way my daughter and I were treated, they have all marked Mirabeau off of their list!! read more

Overall it was a decent experience. I almost gave them 2 stars. The massage was ok. Not great. Ive had better. The facial was nice. It was the best part of the experience. The Esthetician was lovely. Recommended some nice products. Seemed very knowledgeable. So this is where our experience wasn't exactly good. Someone had recommended the crab toast. The crabmeat was a bit watery... I'm used to lump crabmeat and this was mediocre. It was a generous portion and the overall, the meal tasted all right, but I did notice some parts of the crab toast was soggy. Unfortunately shortly after I noticed my stomach was rumbling quite a bit. At checkout, they tried to over charge me. I was NOT happy!!! The last thing you want is to deal with bull crap. They claimed it was a holiday even though it was a Tuesday and the holiday was yesterday. Meanwhile when I booked the appointments and reservations on the phone, we went over everything and I got email confirmation for the price etc... So you can imagine how irritated I was when all of a sudden they are trying over charge me weekend prices during the week! Imagine the feeling of showing up early to make sure you're able to relax and enjoy your get away...to only be brought to a room with someone else's belongings. I tried to make the best of the situation and use the aroma therapy, which had nothing in it. I called the front desk regarding essential oils. after 40mins of waiting, no one ever came up. At no point was I offered any type of compensation. For any of the mishap. Only an apology. I called to express my disappointment and was told we would be taken care of. Yet nothing changed.
