My skin must've been really dry because it absorbed everything. I loved the quiet atmosphere and warm bed. I showed my pedicurist, Carolyn, a build up of dry skin on my ankle and she practically shrieked, "We can't do anything about that!" I asked if there could be an extra service--I meant like a scrub, or a parafF wrap, or even a partial leg wax--and all she would say, interrupting me, was "No! We can't help! We can't do anything!" Finally she went to get the receptionist, who came in and lectured me on the ingredients of a pedicure. When she got to "scrub" I said, "yes! That's all I want!"Just a lotion with some grit in it. The receptionist said doubtfully, "It's just for ten seconds," and I said, "That's okay! That's fine! " Then she said, "We can't offer anything else." So the pedicure went forward, and it was a pretty good pedicure at that. When I tried to get down off the pedicure chair, the pedicurist fussed and got hysterical again, like I was going to take down the whole shop. I asked her several times to leave the room and she finally did. I paid my bill, no tip, balled up the reciept and threw it in a dusty corner, and left. Never coming back here. Didn't give proper info and then canceled my appointment without showing an ounce of respect. Pretty disappointing. Call on Tuesday to get an appointment. They gave me 3:30 on Friday. I am nursing my 6 weeks old baby at that time and don't have my credit card. I have been there several times in the past; I don't know why they don't have my card on file; it didn't change. The next day I got a phone call saying they canceled my appointment because they didn't have a card on file. I called right back right, nobody answered; I left a message. They called me back a bit later. No apologies. Just offering another time slot that I can't take (my babysitter couldn't be available earlier ~Yes, it is not easy to organize a schedule with a newborn.) No sign of empathy; they didn't try to call before canceling. " It is written on your file to hold the appointment until Tuesday evening " ... well, it would have been nice to tell me that in the first place. So, not a place that I would recommend. I got a facial from Yuli and she was excellent, providing not only a relaxing experience, but terrific explanations of the procedure, products and suggested aftercare. The facility was very clean, well presented and professional. A top notch location. Unfortunately, I booked at the last minute and was only able to get one procedure. (Then again, I was able to book something on 24 hours notice on my last minute trip, which was a great surprise.) On 11/01, my husband gifted me with a surprise beauty day for my birthday at the Haven Spa. It was an amazing gift to receive for the 2nd year in a row and I am so thankful for it. I went to the spa feeling tired, sore, ancient, gray, and blah. I left feeling like a million bucks. I had a wonderfully restorative 90 minute massage by Stephanie who found, massaged and restored places in my body that I didn't realize were sore until she massaged them. By the time she was done I was more relaxed than I have been in nearly a year! The massage was followed by a soothing and delicious facial given by Melissa. After that, Rosina did a manicure and pedicure that left me with gorgeous red nails that my friends have commented on. All of the staff at Haven make you feel welcome and make sure you feel at home. They could not have been more gracious, accommodating and supportive. Kudos to all of you! Their gift shop is lovely and their products - some of which I bought for my skin - are worth the price as they are quality. Thank you Haven for making this 64 year old woman feel 30 years younger! I do enjoy going to Haven. I have had the Swedish Massage a few times and have been very happy with them. My only complaint is that gift certificates are only good for a year. While that sounds like more than enough time, sometimes its not. They already have your money so what does it matter when you use your certificate. read more

Having once been a regular client I decided to attempt a return to this haphazardly moderately pleasant (awkward stairs, poorly ventilated client rooms, strange mishmash of sales/front desk check-in/waiting area) spa. To my shock I was informed that there is absolutely no client contact tracking, no temperatures being taken, no vaccination requirements, and only some of the newly hired staff is/has been vaccinated (apparently the management took advantage to the pandemic to fire its long time staffers, or maybe they up and quit due to lack of health protocols) . SERIOUSLY!!! Here we are expected to fork over significant money and we can not be guaranteed that while we lay nearly naked on a massage table the person working on us is not required to be vaccinated and has probably been in contact with at least one non-vaccinated client during their work day?!?!?! This spa is just waiting to become the next pandemic hot spot....look at Europe - it is shutting down again, and so will Haven (used to be) Spa, now plague zone! read more

It is the holiday season and things can get crazy, but they absolutely made this right and, as a result, I had a fantastic first experience with Haven. I had the Haven Signature manicure with ANC and the Seasonal Luxe Pedicure. I was disappointed with both services. The manicure says in the description there's a hand massage included. I never got any hand massage at all. They only soaked my nails in a bowl and then filed and prepped for the ANC dip acrylic powder. These services aren't cheap compared to other nail salons so I'm really annoyed I didn't get everything that the website says I should have. The pedicure was also very disappointing. The massage lasted literally 2 minutes. Extreme letdown. After looking at my nails more closely I can see the polish is on my cuticle so I'm sure it'll start peeling off shortly. I really expected more and wanted a spa experience but I left feeling ripped off and broke. Both services combined with a gratuity came to $138.00. I expected more pampering. It's just frustrating that I didn't even get the proper massages that it says is included. I read this all on their very own website. I definitely don't think I'd ever return here for any services. read more

Haven was the first spa I ever visited, and it set the bar pretty high for my later experiences. Clean, quiet treatment rooms, friendly and experienced staff, and reasonable pricing (at least compared to other high-end day spas). I can't speak to the waxing or scrubs, but the massages and mani/pedi services are great. The only real downside is the lack of accessory facilities - no saunas, steam rooms, or showers. All that said, I think my favorite thing about Haven might be the big red bow they tie around the entire building during winter. Combined with Rhinebeck's Christmas light-lined streets? I called for a same day appoinment and received a massage that was at best perfunctory. Don't recall her name but she was super hurried and it was really hard to enjoy. I prefer that a massage practicioner breathe and slowly connect mind/body/spirit. I definitely didn't get that. I shared the feedback with the front desk who helpfully told me that she knew someone who would be appropriate. Bottom line if you're ok with an assembly line massage you can get that here. But if you want a deeper experience with more care and attention you might want to specifically ask for that when you call or consider another provider. read more

While exploring the Hudson Valley area my face became so dry in the cold weather. I was visiting and did not pack lotion in my carry-on because of TSA so I found Haven on yelp and stopped by to buy something to help my very cold, dry face. Natalie at the desk was extremely helpful and sweet - when she realized they were out of the product she would have recommended for my sensitive skin, she gave me a sample and did not try to sell me something that wouldn't work for me. My husband and I came up to Rhinebeck for a relaxing weekend away. I scheduled a massage for us both at Haven Spa and was very pleased! I had a 60 min Swedish Massage with Frank, and my husband a 60 min Deep Tissue with Amanda. Both of us were greeted by a very lovely receptionist and taken to their relaxation room to wait for our Massage Therapists. The rooms were clean and the whole spa was decorated nicely. We both left our massages feeling relaxed and our backs definitely felt corrected! I feel that their prices are extremely fair considering the quality of our services. Decided to treat my mom and sister to a spa day here during a trip to Hudson, NY. We were recommended Haven Spa by our Bed & Breakfast, Thyme in the Country (also a wonderful spot !). My mom and sister enjoyed the Classic package, which included a 60 minute massage, facial, and mani/pedi. They loved their service, and repeatedly mentioned how relaxing and fulfilling the massages were. Haven Spa is slightly more on the expensive side, but it makes sense given the quality of the service. OMG. Visiting Rhinebeck and was treated to a morning at Haven Spa! What took me so long? Cynthia gave me a really relaxing, healing and blissful massage. Hot weights of some kind rested on my spine for part of the massage and alleviated so much pressure and stress in that area. I felt like a newborn baby after just one hour. She is a gift. Kim shaved at least ten years off my face today using a combination of rose products that soothed and hydrated my maturing (old lady!) skin. I havent been to may spas but loved the Haven. I took my mom there when i was home from California and since then (about 6 yrs ago) I have gotten her a gift certificate for her birthday every year and she loves it. She is an older woman and loves the wet room where she doesnt have to get up off the table and shower off, she can just lay there and relax and have someone do it for her. The employees are always very helpful and mail the gift certificate right to her house and she is good to go. Nothing but good things to say. read more
