The vibe of the salon is no nice, so friendly, and the owner Thien makes everyone feel so welcome. It's also extremely clean and they have over 1000 colors to choose from. 45 minute wait for a mani-pedi--an appointment I had booked 48 hours earlier--which is simply idiotic. They clearly take walk-ins and assume people who make appointments are more motivated so they will wait. I tried to engage the receptionist in determining which pedicure spa treatment I should upgrade to based on issues with my feet. Almost a blank look. She handed me the price list, pointed to the Eastdale Spa pedicure, and said "people seem to like this." Tech offered me water, which I took. The receptionist should have offered it 45 minutes before. My nail tech seemed like it was her first day on the job and I suspect she had no idea what the different pedicure spa treatments entail because I was supposed to get a 15 minute foot massage and it probably lasted for three minutes. The callous removal was lame...barely any removed and none by the heel. Her toenail clipping was very uneven. My polish was applied to my toes like someone finger painting. it's very hard to tell when it's uneven with clear because you have to wait until it dries and then you can feel all the missed spots. Manicure was also unexceptional and clipping was uneven. Place is clean and equipment is newish...but that's true in all of Eastdale. $90 + $20 tip for 45 minutes of waiting and 45 minutes of mediocre service. Going forward, I'll pass on "Eastdale's Premier (Um. "Eastdale's Only") Nail Salon." read more

I chose this specific nail salon due to its location. It's in a nice area and the prices were slightly higher than the other surrounding nail salons. I made an appointment for a classic manicure in advance to look nice for a family event. My wait time was short and facility was clean. The girl at the front desk was friendly. The nail techs weren't friendly, but also not rude which is fine. The quality and service of the manicure was probably the worst I've ever received. My nail tech used a pea size amount of moisturizer and just wiped my hand off with a warm towel before applying polish. I still tipped well, but not what I would have normally. Also, my nails chipped before my family get-together. Do not recommend. read more

I had my nails done with ANC. WITHIN 7 days they started to separate at cuticle line and two chipped. I called on day nine due to me having to work. I was told they fix nails only up to a week. In the past my ANC LASTED 3 weeks. My usual lady went back to China. I miss her. I will not be returning to Hudson Nails. I paid $60 for this for 9 days I don't think so. read more

I have been going to Hudson nails since just after they opened and have never had an issue until today. I typically see Jenny for a UV Gel fill, when I walked in today the receptionist told me Jenny no longer works there. Which is not an issue, but the new lady who did both my pedicure and UV fill rushed, was rude, and cut me three times. She was very aggressive with the drill buffer overall, but the worst was that she took the smallest attachment and dug under my nails with a lot of pressure and sliced open the underneath of my thumb. She didn't apologize or clean it just put some blue liquid on it to stop it bleeding. Not to mention that half my nails are crooked and not buffed down enough. I used to have an enjoyable experience here but I will no longer be getting my nails done here. read more

Mani/pedi and waxing services are top notch! Sarah was great.... Gentle and thorough. Tien, the owner, was warm and gracious from the moment I entered. She never stopped moving throughout my 2.5 hours in her lovely and immaculate shop! First time with gel polish on my toes per her recommendation and explanation. Worth the wait! I called for a same day appointment and despite being booked solid, they told me to come on by and they would work it out. I had about a 30-45 minute wait, but it ended up being worth it. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. I got a manicure and pedicure and both services were excellent. The pedicure was especially thorough with a long massage and exfoliating scrub. Although it was past closing time, they did not rush, which was MUCH appreciated. The pricing was reasonable and they had a good variety of services. I also enjoyed the color selections which had matching options in gel, powder, and regular polish. I live in the Eastdale Complex and wanted to try the new nail salon. I called at 9:30 when they opened and made an appointment for 11 on a Thursday morning. Once I went in I had to wait for 45 minutes before they took other people ahead of me who came late for their appointment. Another customer came in and they've told her she would only have to wait 15 minutes after they asked my name again and what I was getting done. After I walked out they called me and tried to get me to come back promising me someone who will work with me in the next 20 minutes when they arrive. I tried to explain to them earlier when I booked my appointment I was leaving for my bachelorette trip and was kind of in a rush. Overall I'm just very disappointed with them. 0/10 would NOT recommend. T was my first time going there. Will not be going back and will be driving right by to go back to my old salon. Worst of all, I've worked in the local shops in the Eastdale Village and dropped off baked goods at the end of our closing day to be kind to local business and the shop owner promised she would take good care of me when I came in. unfortunately that did not happen. read more

Waited 45 minutes past our scheduled appointment. Spent $192 for my daughter's gel pedicure and acrylic gels and my gel manicure And one day later one of my daughter's nails broke off and one of my nails corner chipped off as well. I called to get my daughter's nail fixed the next day and they charged her!!! Literally the nail broke less than 24 hours after getting it done. I am extremely disappointed at the disregard for customer service. It's not about the $7 , it's the point of poor quality service... count me out. We gave given them several opportunities and almost every time there's been an issue of time management and complete disregard for appointments.. definitely do not recommend. There are so many other places to go. I really really wanted this to work out. We love Eastdale and shop in the area often and always have a good experience with the exception of this nail salon. My first appointment was wonderful but a red flag was while sitting waiting talking with other ladies I kept hearing the wait here was bad. Second time I called to make appointment it took 3 attempts because I was put on hold and forgotten, finally given a day and time. I get there and people after me are taken in I waited over an hour was put in a chair and ignored, tech was walking around chatting sitting with other people playing with her phone when I got up to leave I was told my nails are long and it takes time to do them - Im like NO ONE even looked at them and I was leaving, I was called and told "we have someone for you now " I declined this was 2 hours after I arrived and left without manicure. After some time I thought one more try at this place- I got in fairly quickly tech was sweet but went over board with file and cuticle cutting leaving me bleeding on a few nails- I wanted a French for a wedding the white was milky and she used almost no gel for the fill, the young girl receptionist was doing her own nails and kept stopping techs to help her all she kept saying was she didn't know what to do. In days 2 nails broke and others lifted. I reached out on Instagram to inform them of awful job , owner called me and told me to come back as his guest and Id get his best girl - shouldn't they all be his best girls with what they charge? I refused thinking why go back to the place that charged me $88.00 couldn't get it right in the first place? Had to wait half an hour from my appointment time before I was taken to the chair for my pedicure, but the other people waiting were so friendly as well as the girl who checks you in for your appointment. I went to this salon when they 1st opened I was a long time customer of Jenny. Jenny is a talented professional who never disappoints. When they first opened they had AWFUL ISSUES with scheduling. I kept going because Jenny was determined to provide her clients the attention they deserve. There has been a high turn over and sometimes Jenny was there with one other employee. Jenny has moved on and so have I. May I suggest that if you like Jenny she is available in a new shop in Poughkeepsie. read more

Owner is really nice but lady who did my nails ( I think her name was Jenny, not sure)had major attitude like she was doing me a favor. She wasn't thorough with my manicure or pedicure. She was very fast. My manicure chipped the next day. Place is clean, owner is nice. But that's about it. And maybe other ladies who work at Hudson nails are more pleasant. I've been a customer of Jenny's for about 5 years. When she moved to Eastdale of course I followed. She's one of the sweetest people and most attentive nail techs. The salon is very busy and it's beautiful. I've never known her to be rude nor nasty to anyone. Even when customers are rude to her. All of the staff in the salon are amazing. About a week ago my sister and I went for pedicures. To start, the women doing nails weren't very friendly and one kept staring at us which made us feel uncomfortable. Not to mention, the woman doing my pedicure visibly made fun of the woman doing my sisters pedicure (as the woman walked away, my lady looked at another employee and held up a "L" for loser symbol and the two laughed...). There are no tvs, no art work, nothing but plain white walls which really wasn't very relaxing but more institutional. They charge 4% for using a credit card and don't give a discount if using cash or debit. Lastly, the woman cut me so bad on my big toe that she tried to clean it up then when I was sent to dry my feet, I noticed she put a piece of tissue where the blood was and there was soo much blood, especially when I removed the tissue. There was no discount given for the painful pedicure and the very bloody experience. The woman who cut me did not apologize and kept trying to pour stuff on my cut and I didn't want anything more done to it. I'm disappointed I wasted my time and money. Not to mention that I purchased 4 gift cards in June for my kids teachers and I wish I hadn't done that knowing the experience I had. read more

I went here recently for a pedicure and let me just say, this was the best experience I have ever had at a nail salon. Thein was so hospitable and made us so comfortable. She is so sweet and sincere and honestly made the whole entire experience so enjoyable. The employees were also so fun and smiling the entire time. The place was so CLEAN AND SPOTLESS with brand new chairs and equipment. The prices are so reasonable and fair. If you in need of an amazing experience and a perfect go to spot, this is it. I'm really disappointed to need to update my review. Hudson Nails is still a lovely atmosphere, but unfortunately I don't think I'll be returning. I arrived on time for my appointment. After waiting about 15 minutes, the owner asked if I had "anywhere to be." I said I didn't, assuming they were running a bit behind and it was be another 5-10 minutes. I ended up waiting a total of 45 minutes before being brought back to a chair. I was told I would be next only to realize that the person going before me was the owner! I couldn't believe that she would go ahead of paying customers (there were an additional 2 people in the waiting area). It was very awkward and I finally decided to leave without having my nails done. I felt like my time was wasted and it was disrespectful for the owner to jump in when she knew other customers were waiting for so long. The owner insisted I make an appointment for another day, but I think I will probably cancel and bring my business elsewhere. Really disappointing and I hope they are able to make some changes so something like this doesn't happen to another customer. read more

I had booked an appointment at 11 am and came in and was told that someone would be with me shortly. After waiting about 15 minutes, the owner came up to me and asked what I was here for and I had to tell them that I had made an appointment for 11 am again. The owner then told me that someone would be right with me. I then proceeded to wait 45 minutes and was about ready to walk out. In this time frame another girl had been waiting in front of me and 3 more people came in with appointments as well. After the owner came back and took 3 of the other girls back to start their appointments, I decided to walk out because they were not prioritizing my appointment. It was not until my mother had to call the store and spoke to the owner that their service was unprofessional and they were not honoring their appointments. The point of making an appointment is so you get there and don't have to wait a long time. It is understandable if you are a walk in but I was not a walk in, I had made an appointment a whole day before. The owner proceeded to beg my mother for me to come back and continued to say that they would make it right. I then decided to come back into the store and the owner took me to the back to start my pedicure. I did have to wait more time for someone to actually start my pedicure as well. The owner did not fulfill her promise of taking me right away. They finished my pedicure and then took me over to start my manicure. When I first sat down the girl was trying to communicate to me that they weren't going to be able to do dip on my nails, which every other place I have been to has done dip with no problem on my nails. The girl I guess figured out how to do dip on my nails and she ended up doing them very unprofessionally. She didn't even take off my current nail polish well and just added the color I wanted on top of that. I also asked for a new tip on one of my nails and she completely ignored me and just added some piece of fake nail to fix the crack she had made in my nail while she was buffering them. She then tried telling me that I was lucky my previous color was white because if it wasn't she wouldn't of been able to do my nails, which was very unsettling because she tried blaming me when she was the one who didn't even know what she was talking about or therefore didn't even know how to do dip. She then proceeded to do my nails and messed up trying to smooth out the already done nails and then having to redo my nails, which was very unprofessional. Another one of the workers eventually had to come over and fix her mistake. The whole time I knew that they were not properly executing their dip nail service because I have seen it done properly at other places. At this point I had been at this nail salon for almost 5 hours and I was very unhappy. I was finally done and I would have thought that owner would have not made me pay for my terrible experience or at least give me a reasonable discount. The answer to this was no, the owner was willing to make me pay full price until I personally had to ask for a discount since I was very unpleased. My original service was labeled as $75 but the full total ended up being almost $100 just because my REAL nails are a little bit long. I thought this was absolutely unacceptable and I ended up paying still almost $85 for this terrible service. I told my mother about my awful experience and she ended up going into the nail salon to talk with the owner, since she was already in the area. The owner tried to explain that the only reason they were behind today was because one worker called out sick, which is no excuse for being behind on so many customers. If you are going to open a brand new store, you have to have a decent amount of employees to accommodate your customers. The owner could not care less about a customer's terrible experience which just shows that she does not know how to properly run a business. My mother had gotten her nails and toes done at a different salon in a shorter amount of time, when I had an earlier appointment then she did. I am not a nail salon technician, but I do know I could have done a better job myself. Overall, I am very unhappy with my experience at Hudson Nails and would not recommend their service to anyone. I traveled 40 minutes to come to this new nail salon, which I would have thought would have been nice because it was something new in the area, but no it was a huge disappointment.
